Chapter 306: Messing With The Wrong Person
The Wanderers frowned as they saw two of their own taken out of the fight. Contrary to what they expected, this boy was far stronger than they had thought.
But it was understandable. They were only mid-tier A-ranks—not even among the talented or elite ones. While they were stronger than average, they weren't on the level to take on someone like Daniel.
Two other Wanderers didn't stop their attacks and kept pressing forward.
One of them slammed his hammer into the ground. The force shook the earth and created cracks from which a thick mist erupted.
Daniel increased the gravity of the mist and forced it to cling to the ground. He slowed time for a moment, which caused the attacker to hesitate briefly. Daniel used that opening to leap behind him and struck his hammer with [Strike of Destruction].
The aura of destruction cracked the hammer, and the attacker retreated in shock.
Another Wanderer fired from a distance using [Mist Rain], launching magical arrows from the mist toward Daniel.
He sensed them using [Aspect of the Arcane Law of Moonlight] and created a black aura around himself with [Death Energy] that devoured the arrows—more precisely, the aura "killed" them all.
"What the hell are these things?!" shouted the Wanderer attacking from afar, only to realize too late that his shadow had turned into a sword and was striking him.
He tried to block the shadow sword, but Daniel took the chance to activate [Bloody Judgment].
Multiple blood-colored swords appeared in the sky and attacked the Wanderer, slamming him hard into a distant mountain wall.
Blood poured from his body—but it still wasn't enough to kill him.
The rest of the Wanderers quickly flew over to check on him, and when they saw that he was still alive, they let out a sigh of relief.
"He's way stronger than we thought. At this rate, we won't be able to win."
"What do you suggest? Run away?" one of them asked angrily.
"I didn't say we have to run—but if we keep going like this, we don't stand a chance."
"He's right. This guy probably faked his real rank. From now on, attack all at once, with full power."
"What's with all this whining? Are you scared or something?" Daniel laughed as he saw them regrouping. Then he raised his hands.
Suddenly, Death Energy and Moonlight Energy burst out from his body, covering the entire area and creating a kind of barrier to prevent all four Wanderers from escaping.
The Wanderers looked around with a scowl. Things were even worse than they thought. Now, they couldn't even run.
"Hmph, you really think trash like you is enough to scare us?"
The Wanderers resumed their attacks.
Little Three used [Phantom Dance] to vanish into the shadows and tried to stab Daniel from behind with his daggers.
Little Two fired a wave of magical wind with [Storm Chains]. The hammer-wielding Wanderer charged with [Mountain Breaker], slamming his hammer down with tremendous force. And the last one fired an invisible arrow aimed at Daniel's mana using [Ghost Arrow].
"How pathetic," Daniel muttered and activated [Aspect of Gravity – Law of Moonlight], making the gravity in the sealed area heavy and shaking the ground, throwing all of them off balance.
At the same time, he punched the hammer-Wanderer with one hand and sent him flying.
Trying to compete with him in raw strength? That was the most laughable thing they could've done.
All of the Wanderers suddenly panicked as they realized they had lost their balance and were floating against their will.
Daniel gave them no time to recover. He charged his blade with Death Energy and Sword Aura using [Strike of Destruction] and delivered a crushing blow to all of them.
A burst of light and darkness split the ground, and Little Two and Little Three were thrown into the trees.
The last one, who seemed to be the leader, disappeared using [Mist Aura]. Mist erupted from beneath the ground and surrounded him.
He used Daniel's brief distraction to launch another [Ghost Arrow] attack.
Daniel, sensing the movement of the arrow with [Aspect of the Time Cycle], fired a beam using [Eyes of Destruction] that tore through the mist and smashed the last Wanderer into the ground.
The hammer-Wanderer jumped and appeared in front of their leader to protect him, summoning a defensive wall with [Stone Wall].
But Daniel created a black wave using [Death Energy] that completely consumed the wall.
Wounded and humiliated, the Wanderers made one final effort.
Little Three hurled his poisonous daggers at Daniel using [Dark Fang]. Little Two formed a magical wind net with [Wind Bind].
The hammer-Wanderer attacked again with [Mountain Breaker], and the leader fired a rain of arrows using [Mist Rain].
Daniel used [Aspect of Light – Law of Moonlight] to summon a silver light that scattered both the wind net and the arrows.
Then he charged his blade with white aura and Death Energy using [Strike of Destruction], and with a spinning slash, he completely shattered the daggers and hammer of the three attackers.
The explosion of light and darkness shook the forest—trees fell and the ground cracked.
He followed with [Eyes of Destruction], firing black and red beams toward all four Wanderers.
The beams, like deadly meteors, slammed all four into the ground, leaving them motionless in the mist.
Daniel, completely unscathed, rested Heavens Honor on his shoulder and looked at them with a mocking grin.
He didn't give them the chance to get back up or say anything. Death beams formed in front of him and pierced into all four of their bodies, corroding and destroying a massive portion of their organs and bones.
Their screams echoed through the entire forest. None of them had ever felt such unbearable pain in their lives.
It felt like something was eating them alive from the inside—and there was nothing they could do to stop it.
The pain was so intense they would've rather killed themselves just to escape it.
Their shrieks and cries were so loud that even Daniel got a headache. He halted the death beams' progress right there, stopping them in place.
"Well, I think you've seen what I can do if I want to torture you," Daniel said indifferently. "And that was only a part of what I can do. So you'd better start answering my questions."
