Chapter 7: TWO DOWN, THREE TO GO
FIVE FLOWERS MEETING ROOM
"Welcome, everyone," Jake said, looking around the room. "The head of the gang is not someone we can easily meet, but hopefully, after this mission, we will have that opportunity."
Jake looked at the mysterious three. "Ok," Charlie replied on their behalf.
Jake continued, "This mission is from the head, so it must be taken very seriously."
"What is the mission about?" Charlie asked, curiosity evident in his voice.
"They want us to bring down a politician called Mr. Parker," Jake explained. "He's a drug baron who, according to the public, helps the poor. However, in private, he sells drugs, kidnaps, kills, and sells body parts. With this mission a success, we can meet the head and proceed with the next mission."
"Which mission?" Sea asked, her curiosity piqued.
"After this mission is successful, it means you guys have gained our trust," Sunny interjected. "We can share the details of the next mission with you then."
"What's next?" Micheal asked, looking at Jake.
"I will send the necessary information to each of you," Jake replied. "Since this is your first mission, I want you to gather as much information as possible."
"Fine by us," Charlie said, nodding in agreement.
Everyone discussed random things for some time before the meeting ended.
THE NEXT DAY
THE MYSTERIOUS THREE MEETING ROOM
"Jake said to gather any information we can get," Charlie started, "and I know we all received the message."
"Yes, I did," Sea replied.
"Me too," Micheal agreed.
"We will share the workload to gather information, just like our last mission," Charlie instructed. "Sea, you will gather information by sharing surveys with people. It should include both good and bad things anyone can come up with, and then we will look for similarities."
"Roger, boss," Sea replied.
Charlie continued, "Micheal, you will do the computer and internet research, while I will analyze every piece of information from you both and ask Manny to assist us with any additional information."
"Ok," Micheal replied.
"Everything we gather will be presented to the gang at the next meeting," Charlie said. "After this, we will gain their trust and find the information we need. Meeting dismissed."
"Ok, guys, I'm off," Sea said, leaving the room.
"Charlie, see you next time," Micheal said. "Am I meeting Charles at his house? If we're lucky, we might get some information if I can access his laptop."
Micheal and Charlie left the room.
CHARLES' HOME
Micheal stood outside Charles' door, took a deep breath, and pressed the bell. Charles opened the door, shirtless.
"We could have lunch," Charles suggested, leading Micheal to the dining room, which was decorated with roses and fancy lights.
"No, let's finish this first," Micheal replied, his eyes locked on Charles. "We can't let your effort go to waste."
"I don't mind," Charles said, smiling.
"Even though, by the way, it's beautiful," Micheal added, looking around the room.
"Yes, beautiful," Charles agreed, his eyes locked on Micheal.
Micheal's cheeks colored with blush. "I...you...let's eat."
"Let's eat," Charles replied, still teasing Micheal.
A FEW MINUTES LATER
"Baby, we can go to the room now since we're done with lunch," Micheal suggested, looking shy.
"Yes, I can't wait," Charles replied, holding Micheal's hand and pulling him close.
As they drew closer, Charles captured Micheal's lips with his and carried him to the room.
MIDNIGHT
Micheal woke up, looked at Charles, who was sleeping, and used his hand to trace Charles' lips to his chest. However, he was interrupted by an incoming message on his phone.
"Have you accessed his laptop?" the message read, from Charlie.
"Give me until morning," Micheal replied.
Micheal got out of bed, went to where Charles' laptop was, and sat down. He hacked into the laptop and placed a bug to access information later.
"Baby, do you need anything?" Charles asked, looking sleepy.
"No, I'm coming," Micheal replied, shutting down the laptop and leaving it as it was.
"Should we go round two?" Charles asked, smiling.
"But we did it countless times last night," Micheal replied, laughing.
"I'll be gentle," Charles promised.
"Fine," Micheal agreed.
The lights in the room were turned off, and soon, moaning sounds could be heard.
DAYS LATER
AT THE FIVE FLOWERS MEETING ROOM
"Starting from you three, what did you find out?" Jake asked, looking at Micheal, Sea, and Charlie.
"Micheal, you start first," Charlie said, nodding at Micheal.
Micheal stood up. "I gathered that Mr. Parker always throws a party once a month with the theme 'Helping the Poor.' Women he helps attend the party with rich men."
"Favor, jot this down," Jake instructed, and Favor complied.
Micheal continued, "The place is always secured, with no easy way to enter. The noise heard outside the club when the party is going on is oldies music. The walls of the building are designed to block out any noise from inside, so the music is just a distraction from the activities going on inside."
"Good job," Charles praised Micheal.
"Sea, you're next," Charlie said, turning to Sea.
Sea stood up. "Mr. Parker always helps women between the ages of 45 and 60, while men are between 40 and 70 years old."
"How do they verify the age of these people?" Sunny asked.
"They provide birth certificates, which are verified," Sea explained. "If you don't meet the age requirements, you're disqualified from the charity."
Sea sat down, and Charlie stood up.
"The women who attend the 'Helping the Poor' party come with either long black hair or brown shoulder-length hair, while the men have either shaved hair or dyed black hair," Charlie said.
"Any other details?" Mark asked.
"The dress code for the party is a black suit or gown," Charlie replied.
"You guys have covered everything we need, except that the party is held every 15th of every month, which gives us two weeks to prepare," Jake added.
"So, what's the next plan?" Charlie asked.
"Sea and Favor will go in as women. We'll find identities for you to use," Jake instructed.
"Roger that," Sea and Favor replied in unison.
"Sunny will go as a bodyguard, while Mark will go as a waiter. We'll also find identities for you to use," Jake said, and they agreed.
"Micheal and Charles are backup in case of emergencies," Jake concluded.
"Yes, boss," Micheal and Charles replied, smiling at each other.
"Lastly, Charlie and I will find identities to use as big-shot men," Jake said.
"Guys, I just found out something," Mark said, looking at his phone.
"What is it?" they all asked.
"It's a sex party for everyone – gays, lesbians, and straight people are all involved," Mark revealed.
"Damn!" Sea cursed, as everyone discussed the new information.
"Why don't I involve my uncle?" Charlie suggested.
"No cops," Jake stated firmly.
"But why? My uncle is reliable," Charlie argued.
"I said no, and…" Favor started to interrupt.
"Let's involve him to stay safe, and it's just a one-time thing," Favor suggested.
Jake glared at Favor, who pretended not to notice.
"To avoid leaving trails, let's not meet until after this mission. All further information will be discussed over the phone," Jake finalized.
The meeting ended, and everyone left. The mysterious three reconvened in their meeting room.
"So, what did you find out?" Sea asked.
"I fixed a virus on Charles' laptop that will send me information on their blood types, but I could only access two people – the rest were encrypted," Micheal explained.
"Who are the two people?" Charlie asked.
"Mark and Sunny are A and B blood groups, respectively," Micheal replied.
"It means they're both ruled out, leaving us with three suspects: Favor, Charles, and Jake," Sea added.
"We've made progress. Hopefully, this mission will provide us with access to at least one of their blood groups," Charlie said.
"The meeting has ended. Let's go," Charlie concluded, and they all left.
