Chapter 7: Ch.7 A Big Battle
The war lasted for more or less a day, some of the army soldiers were captured whereas most of them were killed.
The outer disciples picked up all the dead bodies as they carried them up the mountain, the slaves were being killed under the supervision of some inner disciples.
Some tried to run away but were just met with the face of a cruel death, finally only fifty percent of the terrified slaves remained as they were kicked into the caves to continue working.
The battered and bruised slaves entered the cave and they all fell on the ground sobbing with fear, but that didn't last long as the outer disciple started to whip and made them mine.
Today they weren't given any food and not even a night's rest, in contrast, Yucheng got an entire cooked chicken and rice for dinner.
He was even allowed to rest for a week or so, and if he desired he could even become an outer disciple.
This fueled others' jealousy toward him to the extreme but under the supervision of others, they couldn't only helplessly toll away.
Just like that a week passed and the treatment toward the slaves got back to normal, Yucheng was enjoying some of the good food he had saved up in previous days.
Although it was cold it still tasted better than the slop given by the outer disciples.
It was lunchtime and seeing him enjoying good food while they could only eat slop made some people restless.
Especially a certain crooked-nosed man, unable to control himself finally started to talk out his thoughts.
"How's that food you got from betraying us."
He spoke in a loud voice but no one refuted him, even Yucheng ate in silence minding his own business and treating him like a barking dog.
Seeing no reaction from Yucheng his ego was hurt as he shouted with a red face.
"You know what it must have been due to you the army lost."
"Due to you half of us died and you are here enjoying rest and good food."
He shouted and other people started at Yucheng with anger and frustration, although they understood that he did nothing wrong they needed an outlet to vent.
"Yes, it must be him."
"Bastard..."
"How could you betray your fellow human."
"Dog of the demons."
More voices of support against such claims came but Yucheng still ignored them as if deaf. Such a reaction enraged the crowd even further.
Swoosh!!
A rock was thrown at Yucheng.
It is unknown who threw it but Yucheng caught it easily and glared at the people surrounding him.
"Do you think you can scare us?"
The crooked-nosed man shouted as he rushed toward Yucheng with a punching motion, seeing this, other people followed.
Now Yucheng was surrounded on all sides with nowhere to go.
Sighing he put the food to the side as he took a defensive stance, deflecting each punches and kicks he stood tall like a Buddha.
But as the number increased it became harder and harder to block.
A punch to the face landed..
A kick to the knee...
Punch to the stomach...
Hit by a stone in the back of the head...
Another kick to the stomach....
As more and more hits landed he started to bleep from his nose and mouth, and various wounds started to appear on his body.
He became a bloody figure and the outer disciples also watched this scene from the sidelines smiling.
Yucheng knew that if it continued he would die, his eyes became more focused as he scanned through the crowd.
Finally, he saw the figure of the crooked-nosed man grinning as he watched him get beaten down.
A flash of murderous intent passed through his eyes before his face became calm as a lake, but it was calm before the storm.
Using his remaining strength he moved his body like a snake as he passed through the crowd surrounding him.
With a predatory grin, he appeared behind the crooked-nosed man, before the man could even react he gave a big blow as his left hand was broken.
"AHHHHH!!!"
The man cried in agony as he looked at his hand which had bended like a broken twig. Before he could even understand what happened Yucheng attacked.
His right hand, his legs, and finally his balls all were broken and became bloody. As he fell, Yuchneg gave a last blow to his back and ruptured all the veins.
Before the crowd could come any closer Yuchneg released murderous intent making the cave silent. Those slaves who were normal farmers and hunters before shuddered as they looked into his eyes.
"ANYONE ELSE WANT WHAT HE HAD!!!!!!!"
Yucheng roared in a thunderous tone as the none dared to speak, Yuchneg walked forward and the crowd parted way for him.
Looking at the outer disciples he threw the needed sprit stones and said.
"This is my quota for today."
With that, he walked deeper into the cave with a trail of blood marking his direction. As he walked deeper the blood started to coagulate as he walked alone in darkness.
"Haa, haa, Those shitheads."
He muttered with great difficulty as he could feel his body getting weaker. He knew that he would pass out soon.
So he increased his pace, if he fell down here he most likely would be killed by some slave. Reaching his secret spot he entered the narrow passage.
Looking back he picked up a larger bolder nearby and closed the passage.
With this, his remaining strength faded as he fell to the ground face-first and blacked out.
His breathing became small but steady as his body tried to conserve as much energy as possible. The pile of spirit stones near him glowed with blue light.
A small stream of spiritual energy started to enter his body, and although it also flowed out at least it increased his healing rate.
If any cultivator saw this he would sigh with anger as it's the most wasteful use of spirit stone, a method that can be used by any cultivator but no one does.
