Miracle Summoner

Chapter 1875: -1834- Here I come

The sole Master of Chaldea has returned.

Rozen has once again come back.

This news, however, did not cause much of a stir.

That's because Rozen's disappearances and returns have never been noticed by the general staff members within Chaldea.

Although Roman, Da Vinci, Olga Marie, and even Mash had no idea why Rozen would vanish from time to time, only to return after a while with immense progress and significant strength improvements, they chose to conceal this fact from the general staff.

After all, not everyone could be like Roman and the others, refraining from probing into Rozen's secrets and simply letting him grow.

As Da Vinci put it, the world outside Chaldea had already turned into hell. There were no survivors, and only within Chaldea did a shred of hope remain. Under such circumstances, Rozen's periodic disappearances from Chaldea would inevitably arouse suspicion if disclosed.

To avoid unnecessary commotion, Olga Marie, as the director, issued a statement:

"To save humanity and reverse the decline of human history, Rorelai Arnett will enter Chaldea's secret facilities for training."

This was the official explanation.

As such, aside from a few select high-ranking individuals, most of Chaldea's staff believed that Rozen's disappearances were part of a secluded training regimen.

Rozen's significant improvements in strength each time he returned further substantiated this narrative, leaving the staff and technicians with no reason to question it.

In this world, where magecraft was shrouded in mystery, every mage and magical family had their own hidden techniques and secrets. Probing into such matters often led to irreconcilable conflicts.

Thus, people assumed that Olga Marie, to save humanity, had tapped into some secret legacy of her family or hidden resources within the facility to enhance Rozen's strength.

Given the rules of secrecy in the magical world, prying into such matters was dangerous. Not knowing was often the safest course of action.

For this reason, Rozen's return garnered no major reaction, and the staff resumed their duties as if nothing had happened.

Rozen, on the other hand, reunited with everyone with a sense of nostalgia, a faint smile on his face as he engaged in conversation with them. Roman, Da Vinci, Olga Marie, and Mash were repeatedly taken aback by his demeanor.

For them, Rozen had only been away for a few months. However, for Rozen, it had been decades since he last saw them.

After decades, reuniting with Roman, Mash, Da Vinci, and Olga Marie was bound to stir a deep sense of longing in Rozen.

His newfound composure and maturity left everyone surprised.

"It seems you gained a lot this time," Roman said in astonishment.

"It feels like seeing a boy grow into an extraordinary man. Not bad, Rozen," Da Vinci said with approval.

"Hmph, at least you're no longer as irritating as before. Honestly, you should have acted this way ages ago. You're a man, yet you behaved like a brat, causing trouble all the time," Olga Marie scolded, leaving Rozen rolling his eyes.

However, Rozen no longer bickered with Olga Marie as he once did. He simply let her words wash over him. Even when reprimanded, he did not retort, leaving Olga Marie appearing more childish in comparison.

Later, Rozen learned about Chaldea's current situation from Roman and the others.

For instance:

"Mash's body has been mostly restored, even better than before. Thanks to the talismans you left behind, while they couldn't fix her genetic issues, they've ensured she won't collapse from overexertion anymore," Roman assured.

Rozen checked Mash's condition and found her body in excellent shape.

However, this did not extend her lifespan.

"Mash's issue lies in her genes. Her life span was set to end at eighteen from the moment she was born. To save her, we must either repair or alter her genetic structure. There's no other way."

This was natural death, not a disease. Rozen's miracle elixirs, which cured all ailments, were useless. Even creating an elixir of immortality wouldn't help.

An elixir of immortality could halt aging but couldn't increase one's life force. In Mash's case, with her deteriorated and defective genes, the moment her cells ceased functioning, she would die—without exception.

Thus, Rozen had no immediate solution to cure Mash.

He could keep her alive using certain means, such as reviving her after death or transforming her into something non-human. However, Rozen sought a way to save her while preserving her humanity.

For now, Rozen decided to observe.

"If no better solution arises, I'll establish an absolute contract with Mash when the time comes."

This was the very reason Rozen had left Chaldea before.

As for Chaldea's situation, Da Vinci summarized it succinctly:

"The Sixth Singularity has been fully observed. We can perform Rayshift anytime."

This explained why Roman had said Rozen's return was well-timed.

Just a few days ago, the observation of the Sixth Singularity was completed, and the Rayshift was ready.

Thus, Mash's body was adjusted in time, allowing her to enter the sterilized chambers without issue.

"Although you two have much to talk about—one having just returned and the other recently recovered—we're short on time. It's best to wrap things up quickly so we can prepare for the final, seventh Singularity and completely restore human history."

Olga Marie delivered these decisive words.

"You have one day to rest. Report to the central control room tomorrow."

With that, Roman, Da Vinci, and Olga Marie left.

Rozen could only shrug.

"This is what they call 'better lucky than early,' huh?"

But it worked out well.

After taking an extended break in the previous world, Rozen needed to regain his combat instincts.

"The Sixth Singularity."

The second-to-last Singularity causing the Incineration of Humanity.

"Here I come," Rozen declared.

Little did he know, this Singularity would prove far more unique and challenging than the previous ones.
