Chapter 1876: -1835- I want to summon...
Whenever Rozen returns, Chaldea is destined to plunge into a whirlwind of activity.
To prepare for the Rayshift, all the staff and technicians in Chaldea have to get busy, including Roman and Da Vinci. Only Rozen and Mash get some free time because their moment to act comes later. They are responsible for resting and adjusting their conditions for the battles ahead.
In such a situation...
"I should leave the sterile room as well," Mash said as she stepped out of the sterile room with Rozen accompanying her.
According to Rozen, ever since that day when Mash collapsed, she hadn't left the sterile room. She had been undergoing treatment and resolving issues with her body, only now emerging healthier than before.
Mash believed that before their departure, she should regain her sense of battle.
Her idea coincided perfectly with Rozen's.
During this period, two things occurred.
The first was the disappearance of Rozen's Command Seals.
After his magic circuits were restructured, the Command Seals, which connect to the circuits, could no longer inscribe themselves on Rozen's hand due to the overwhelming surge of mana.
Simply put, the mana of the three-segment Command Seals couldn't compare to even a fraction of Rozen's own mana.
Moreover, with the complete transformation of his magic circuits, the standard Command Seals could no longer connect to them.
This development shocked Roman and others.
"How could this happen?" Roman was dumbfounded.
"Incredible..." Da Vinci's eyes sparkled as she looked at Rozen.
"What... What on earth did you do!?" Olga Marie was even panicked.
In the end, after repeated attempts and a complete overhaul of the Servant Summoning System, they still couldn't engrave the Command Seals on Rozen's hand, forcing everyone to give up.
"At least the contract remains intact," Mash said, somewhat relieved.
The loss of the Command Seals wouldn't affect the contract.
Typically, even if the Command Seals were used up, the contract between a Master and Servant wouldn't be terminated—it simply meant the Master could no longer issue forced commands to the Servant.
The inability to control a powerful Servant could be extremely dangerous, even leading to betrayal and death at the hands of the Servant. Command Seals were thus created to mitigate such risks.
Without Command Seals, Rozen merely lost the ability to issue commands or enhance his Servant's power. The contract between him and Mash remained intact.
That said, with Rozen's current level of mana and mastery of magic, he could forcibly command a Servant at any time once a contract was formed.
"I've already thoroughly studied the Command Seal system. My mana far surpasses that of the Command Seals, so why can't I enforce commands on a contracted Servant?" Rozen mused.
In other words, even though Rozen lacked Command Seals, he effectively possessed unlimited authority to issue commands.
Of course, this applied only to those with whom he had a contract. Rozen could issue commands through the contract itself.
As a result, Rozen straightforwardly proposed to Olga Marie, "Separate the Command Seal system from the Servant Summoning System and use the mana for Command Seals to enhance the bond between the Master and the Servant. That would be more beneficial for me."
If this were implemented, Chaldea's Servant Summoning System might become exclusively tailored to Rozen.
However, whether Olga Marie adopted his suggestion didn't matter to Rozen.
Currently, Chaldea's Servant Summoning System served only Rozen and Mash. There were no other Masters or Servants, so no extra mana was being consumed. It was sufficient for now.
If Rozen formed an exclusive contract with Mash in the future, Chaldea's summoning system would become entirely obsolete. One could hardly tell whether this was fortunate or regrettable.
The second event was Rozen's internal conflict over whether Mash should continue fighting.
"Honestly, you should rest. I could go to the Sixth Singularity alone," Rozen thought countless times.
At present, Rozen was no longer who he used to be—someone who needed a Servant by his side to handle Servant battles.
Now, Rozen had dragon-type familiars, two divine spirits, and ten Beast Vassals. With his current capabilities, he could summon as many strategic-class familiars as he desired.
Having fully mastered his knowledge, even high-level summoning techniques such as Spirit Summoning and Divine Summoning were within his grasp. However, due to the unpredictability of what kind of spirit or deity would be summoned without a catalyst, Rozen was reluctant to use these techniques for now. Otherwise, he would already have a hundred Servants by his side.
With his current mana, summoning and supporting the combat of a hundred Servants was effortless.
Therefore, even without Mash, Rozen wouldn't be impacted at all.
But seeing Mash's joyful expression as she anticipated continuing to fight by his side and her resolute determination to overcome her inner fears, Rozen found it impossible to voice such thoughts.
Should he tell Mash that he no longer needed her?
If so, Rozen would rather give up a hundred Servants.
Ultimately, Rozen decided not to ask Mash to stay behind while he ventured to the Sixth Singularity alone.
Fortunately, he didn't.
Mash had awakened as his shield and worked hard to fight alongside him. If Rozen had said otherwise, it would have deeply hurt her.
"Anyway, with me here, I'll just have to look out for Mash more carefully," Rozen thought.
Even though Altera was still reconstructing her Saint Graph to ascend to the Grand rank, leaving Rozen with only one Servant for now, he had more than enough alternatives to replace a Servant's combat power.
Rozen could now summon powerful magical beasts, phantasmal species, and even divine beasts. Many of them rivaled Servants in strength, with some even exceeding them.
In the past, Rozen had experimented with summoning many such familiars. Coupled with Kinu, Gyokuto, and the ten Beast Vassals, he was far from lacking in combat power.
As for Servant summoning, Rozen couldn't change the inherent randomness of the ritual without a catalyst. Considering the uncertainty of what kind of Servant would be summoned, Rozen felt it was more practical to rely on strong phantasmal species.
That said, there was one specific Servant Rozen wanted to summon.
On the day of the Rayshift, Rozen expressed this desire in front of everyone.
"I want to summon Sheba," he said seriously.
As soon as the words left his mouth, while the others were still processing his statement, an incredulous shout rang out in the control room.
"What... What did you just say!?" Roman jumped up, utterly stunned.
