Chapter 2: Sinking Feeling
"That was… The last question.. Pokémon facts are easy, Pokémon history is where everything gets hard." Ava's sunburst eyes reflect the night city background behind Amanda (The Aevium League's scout ) as the click of her mouse is followed by a ping from her Pokégear lighting up with a voiced notification: " 'Congrats on passing the league trainer exam, go to the closest printer and print out your trainer card.' ". After this I can become an official trainer! Beat Tesla And the rest of the Elite Eight. Ah The dream of every trainer. With her new license in hand Ava leaves the room and spots her mother who seemed lost in her thoughts leaning over the banister "Hey Mom how was your sleep?" Might be best to not say anything about the hole
Ava's mom flinches when hearing the greeting "Hii~ Ava, I was going to ask how everything is going!" She spots the card in her daughter's hand "That's your trainer card? You didn't want to smile?" Ava's mother looks questioningly at the picture as if it was a Picasso painting.
"I smile for every other picture, plus I can only smile so much." Ava's mother smiles and shakes her head as her daughter makes pouting face
"Well at least you'll be able to fully enjoy the beauty that the Aevium region has to offer, it has so much to offer as well! I was thinking right after we got off on the pier, we could head off to Akuwa Town. After all, we won't be on too long after the banquet." She fixes her white long coat with a giddy smile
"That'd be great!" Ava's smile shined like the sun to her mother. What am I supposed to do until the Banquet? I could shoot the breeze with some of the others.. I guess. Ava stands still; her face showing she's deep in her thoughts.
"Y'know I happen to know the captain, you should probably go talk to him before we get our grub on~?" Ava's mother was still wearing a warm radiant smile
"Fine." Ava's response seemed rather lackluster. The captain's a nice guy, but he's just so..hm old spirited? He thinks I'm trans but, No! I was just born this way. Wait, does that mean I was just born trans? Ava hums. I should take a lap and get some water. "I'll talk to him after doing some short laps around."
"Thank you. I should probably change into something more… adapté à l'occasion?" Ava's mother bends her knees and moves her arms in front of her as if they were curtains being pulled back "I will see you at the Banquet." She leaves with a bow
Ava jogs on the ship, narrowly dodging playing kids and busy staff. Mom seemed pretty normal despite her talk with Crescent. I feel like I should know her, I feel like I should.. Feel some way about her. Ava walks onto the bow of the ship where her nostrils are assaulted with the unfiltered smell of the sea water, but her mind unknowing of the world surrounding her. Crescent is.. Something: hot yea, a bitch possibly, I'm missing something. Something that is extremely important. Crescent is…
A cold calming voice cuts Ava's thoughts "In front of you."it was Crescent who was still bent on the rail looking out towards the sea, yet to turn around and see who had just bumped into her
"Ep my bad." her ass got some spring to it for being so firm. This would be the greatest position for jus- NO! Think of something else like a.. Zombie! The guts just spilling out of its destroyed stomach line. The once stirring in the futanari's nethers now calmed down; matching the ocean's currents.
"You doing alright there?" Crescent was now fully turned around. Despite Crescent's short stature compared to Ava, she seemed to be looking down on the girl, as if she was going to toss her off the ship right then and there.
"Ah sorry about.. This! Imma go get out of your way." Dangerous! That's what she is.
"Wait!.." Crescent cries but the young futanari was already well gone "I guess she's still processing it all."
Ava runs into what she thinks is her and her mothers room with her head down. She finds a springy arm chair and sits in it panting with her heart in her ears. This isn't enough to tire me, it Couldn't be I can run a mile and be fine. This, This must be true fear… Arceus it's annoying. Her heartbeat begins to fade as a conversation from the otherside of the wall fades in.
"Are things falling into place? Is the plan going well?" A smooth jazzy voice is the first thing to be heard clearly
"Everything's been set. We're just waiting for the Farewell Banquet to begin." a Feminine voice follows up
"Then, at that point we'll start our "Presentation", right?"
"Yes our "Presentation" will be held the moment the toast is done." An agitated male voice adds
What are they talking about? Mom said there'll be no presentation "just people living in the moment with good music." She tried to advertise it as if she wanted me to talk to the captain more. Wait, will Crescent be there? Ah shit I need an excuse.
"A Farewell Banquet indeed." the agitated voice is followed by the door opening
I could be overthinking it, maybe they cooked something they weren't supposed to for someone. Ava leaves the room with her thoughts placed at the door and goes towards the Captain's room, as she's making her way there she can't help noticing a small few people acting distant, sticking out in the lively atmosphere of the boat. Something's stirring in my gut and I know it's not the want to yank out another few loads.. anymore.
"Hey, Ava!" A loud voice calls towards Ava, she looks towards it "The Banquet is starting!"
"Be right there Captain!" Ava salutes to him
"Save it for the Banquet! He's just like his mother." The captain whispers that last bit after turning away from her.
Where was the flash bang call out! Ava walks into the dining room and gets flashed by one of the disco lights, she covers her eyes; feeling their coldness on her moist face. The loud piano playing sharpens in her ears; hearing each note start and end. She finally lowers her hands letting her other senses die down.
"Ava!" Her Mother whispers to her in a barely audible volume, if it wasn't for her waving hand Ava wouldn't have noticed her
Immediately as Ava takes her seat The Captain begins his Speech. "Hello everyone, I am the Captain of this luxurious voyage and of the S.S Oceana, Augustus. It has been my pleasure bringing you all to Avium, just as it is my pleasure having this Banquet with you all. This will be the last evening we'll be sharing on this boat before we reach Avium; which will hopefully bring new, grand experiences for us all. I hope this trip will forever stay in your memories as a fond journey. Now please, enjoy your meals!"
"Sorry, but there's something That needs taking care of first!" A voice disrupts the rather high class atmosphere coming from a group of three walking down the main aisle
"What is the issue here? Please, return to your seats!" Agustus tried to maintain his host persona but everyone could tell it slipped "Mmm… No I don't think we will"
"This ship is under our control now." The three say in unison before tearing of their clothes revealing red and black outfits
The brunette tore off a bit more than she needed to, I can see a bit of her right nip in the X on their uniform. Ava lets out a small snort. That's just funny.
"What is the meaning of this!?" Ava's mother shoots up from her seat
"I-Is… Are you hi-jacking us?!" The piano lady follows suit with her own questioning
"You must be insane if you run in front of people like us." The brunette that Ava was thinking about steps forward
Yeah sure whatever you say perky, is that piercing? What is it with the daddy issues today? Ahhh I think these things but I don't really care, is a good laugh sometimes.
"I refuse!" Ava's Mother reaches for her Pokeball, she looks to the table in front of her and Ava's and nods. As Nancy throws her pokeball a Gothitelle's cry rings in Ava's ear before an explosion is set off.
