Reborn as Humanity’s Emperor Across the Multiverse

Chapter 433: Chapter 433: [Forewarning] Chaos and Deployment

A series of unsettling visions flashed through Samuel's mind, like a forewarning of a storm brewing on the horizon.

In these fragmented glimpses of the future, thousands of living beings were massacred in chaos, their blood soaking the earth, while desperate cries for help filled the air.

Colonial cities were consumed by raging infernos, their black smoke blotting out the sky. Acrid fumes and flames intertwined, transforming once-thriving havens into hellish wastelands.

An eerie presence hung over the colonies, with shadowy figures haunting the ruins—clearly demons from the Warp. These twisted entities, with their grotesque forms and corrupting aura, had pierced the barrier between the Immaterium and reality.

Based on these fragmented visions, Samuel realized that an Imperial colony would soon face a catastrophe far worse than the New Mombasa incident from the Halo universe.

Through some ritual or mass sacrifice, the forces of Chaos would tear open the boundary between the Warp and reality, allowing hordes of daemons to pour into the material realm, unleashing indiscriminate slaughter across the Empire's territory.

In his visions, Samuel also caught a glimpse of a colossal being—towering and radiating immense power—stepping into the physical universe.

With each of its steps, it unleashed devastating destruction. Buildings collapsed beneath its feet, Imperial citizens scattered in panic, and wave after wave of Imperial soldiers rushed to stop its advance, only to be crushed by its ferocious onslaught.

These haunting images signaled an impending calamity of unprecedented magnitude.

Only with the combined forces of the Thousand Sons, the Imperial Navy, and the Imperial Guard was the monstrous entity and its Chaos army finally halted.

While the battlefield eventually stabilized, the daemons continued to linger at the edges, as if waiting for the perfect moment to strike again.

The vision ended abruptly, leaving Samuel unable to clearly identify the monstrous entity.

It might be a devoted servant of one of the four Chaos Gods, a self-proclaimed dominator rising through the Warp's "survival of the fittest," or an independent daemon-lord who had established its own realm.

Regardless, the visions unmistakably conveyed one truth: to prevent this chaos from escalating further and to curb the daemonic incursion into the colonies, the Thousand Sons would need to take decisive action.

This also meant that Samuel himself would need to issue orders to Magnus the Red, commanding him to mobilize his legion and patrol various universes with significant colonies.

Samuel had no hesitation in making this decision.

He knew that the Thousand Sons, since their establishment, had had limited opportunities to showcase their full potential.

Although they had played a pivotal role in the conquest of the Godzilla: Monster Planet universe—integrating it into the Imperium's territory—they had yet to demonstrate their might on a broader stage.

This looming Chaos incursion was the perfect opportunity for the Thousand Sons. Not only could they defend the Empire's borders, but Magnus and his legion could also gain invaluable battle honors.

With this in mind, Samuel's hands moved swiftly over his keyboard, composing a private email to Magnus, who was stationed in the Pacific Rim universe.

The message detailed the scale of the impending Chaos incursion and described the colossal entity preparing to step into the material world.

Samuel stressed the urgency of immediate preparations, ordering the Thousand Sons to mobilize and deploy their companies across multiple universes.

After completing his email to Magnus, Samuel turned to his other sons, sending them formal notifications about the potential threats they might face.

These notifications outlined the brewing chaos and described the dire situation in detail, urging all governors to remain vigilant and cooperate with the Thousand Sons to stabilize the Imperium's territories.

Having communicated with his sons, Samuel issued a directive through the Imperium's private communication network to the Inquisition, instructing them to deploy their agents immediately to root out any signs of Warp-related corruption.

Thanks to his forewarning, Samuel was able to narrow the scope of the search.

The visions depicted a highly urbanized colony with towering megastructures and modern streets—an unmistakably densely populated settlement with millions, possibly tens of millions, of residents.

This allowed Samuel to rule out universes like Avatar and Halo, whose colonies were vast and sprawling but whose architectural styles did not match the vision.

Likewise, the colonies of the soon-to-be-integrated Starship Troopers universe were distinctly different in design, allowing him to exclude them from consideration.

At the same time, Samuel gave specific instructions for the 4,000 Grey Knights to remain on standby.

Once the location of the Chaos incursion was identified, the Grey Knights would be dispatched immediately to eliminate the demonic filth lurking in the shadows—those creatures that refused to abide by order and instead sought to sow chaos.

Samuel understood why the Warp was becoming restless. It was not content with the status quo and clearly wanted to destabilize the Imperium, which was rapidly growing into a force it could no longer ignore.

While the Imperium's population had yet to reach the scale of trillions, its military strength alone was enough to inspire terror in its enemies.

The Imperium's armed forces, bolstered by over a million Astartes and fleets that included 40 Voyager-class dreadnoughts, were an unstoppable force on any battlefield.

Each Voyager-class dreadnought could single-handedly decide the outcome of a war. Combined with the might of the Astartes legions, they formed a fighting force that no adversary could easily challenge.

Additionally, the Imperium had tens of millions of auxiliary troops enhanced with the Inquis Serum. These soldiers possessed physical capabilities far beyond ordinary humans, as well as battle instincts and experience that allowed them to turn the tide even in the direst of situations.

If the Imperium were to concentrate all its military power at once, it would be a "calamity-level" invader in any star-faring universe, capable of inflicting catastrophic devastation on any civilization it encountered.

Moreover, the Imperium had inherited an abundance of Forerunner technology as the "Reclaimers."

Should the Warp's entities—daemons and Chaos Gods—continue to sit idly by as the Imperium advanced, it was only a matter of time before they were utterly overwhelmed.

Though progress in reverse-engineering Forerunner technology under Halsey and Cortana's leadership had been slow, the research had already yielded substantial results.

Samuel was confident that, given time, the Imperium would fully master these technologies, cementing its technological superiority and rendering it untouchable by any rival force.

The Imperium's current mastery of Forerunner technology was best exemplified by its Voyager-class dreadnoughts.

Even with just 40 of these vessels, the Imperium could dominate most parallel universes with ease.

No matter the size of the opposing fleet, these dreadnoughts could decisively crush their enemies, as demonstrated during the orbital battle over Campbell.

However, from the perspective of Chaos, the Imperium's most uncontrollable element was not its fleets or Astartes—it was Samuel himself.

While dreadnoughts reigned supreme in the material universe, they could not enter the Warp to wreak havoc.

The Warp was a domain of chaos and unpredictability, free from the constraints of physical laws. It was a surreal, nightmarish mire where the rules of reality held no sway.

Even a million battle-hardened Astartes, supported by millions of enhanced auxiliaries, would face horrific losses if they entered the Warp.

Yet Samuel, with his immense psychic power, possessed the unique ability to consume Warp entities outright.

The more chaotic and fractious the daemons and gods of the Warp became, the greater the advantage for Samuel.

Whenever he or his Primarch sons and Astartes defeated daemons in the material universe, those daemons' essence would be absorbed, strengthening Samuel further.

The daemons and gods of the Warp had taken notice of this alarming trait.

With the conquest of the Trench Crusade universe's Heaven and Hell dimensions by Samuel's Imperium, the Warp's denizens were increasingly cornered, losing the freedom they once enjoyed.

Samuel deduced from his fragmented visions that the Chaos Gods were likely orchestrating a united effort to launch a probing attack against the Imperium.

Their aim was to uncover weaknesses and then escalate their assaults to destabilize the empire.

This realization reinforced Samuel's determination to focus on internal development.

If the Imperium's mere existence was enough to pressure its enemies, then his strategy should be to grow even stronger.

For now, Samuel would delay opening additional Warp Gates or expanding the empire's borders further.

At least until the imminent Chaos incursion was resolved, the Imperium would prioritize consolidation and stability.

Rapid expansion, after all, risked overextension. The empire needed years, perhaps decades, to fully integrate its territories.

For example, in the Halo universe, despite the Imperium having claimed half the galaxy, remnants of Covenant species like Brutes and Jackals had formed pirate and mercenary bands along the empire's borders.

These groups frequently raided and disrupted border settlements, while human defectors colluded with them to incite rebellion and unrest.

Addressing these issues would require time and meticulous effort.

Similarly, the task ahead for Sanguinius and the Blood Angels in the Starship Troopers universe would be monumental.

Once the Federation was unified, ensuring the colonies' stability, resolving internal conflicts, and preventing rebellion or social unrest would take years.

Looking ahead, Samuel planned for both Lorgar and Cur

ze, once they matured under his and Tina's guidance, to join Sanguinius in governing the Starship Troopers universe.

As for the four universes Samuel recently accessed through the Warp Gates, he had already assigned governors to three of them:

Universe 13 (Trench Crusade): Lion El'Jonson Universe 14 (Starship Troopers): Sanguinius, Lorgar, and Curze Universe 16 (Red Alert): Alpharius and Omegon

With its wealth of advanced "black tech" and a population exceeding 8 billion, the Red Alert universe offered ample resources for Alpharius and Omegon to strengthen the Alpha Legion.

For Universe 15 (Alien), governance would fall to the 14th Company of the Space Wolves. In principle, Leman Russ himself should serve as governor.

However, Leman remained in the Halo universe, co-governing alongside four of his brothers. Assigning him directly would likely draw no objections from his peers.

After all, Leman had practically begged for the opportunity to lead the expedition to the Alien universe, lobbying his brothers and sending frequent petitions to Samuel himself.

Among the four newly accessed universes, the Alien universe had encountered the least resistance during its integration. The 14th Company of Space Wolves faced minimal opposition and required no reinforcements from the wider Imperium.

Samuel intended to finalize his decision once the 14th Company completed its mission of full integration.

Meanwhile, upon receiving his father's directive, Magnus the Red immediately mobilized the Thousand Sons.

The 1st through 6th Companies were dispatched to universes including Edge of Tomorrow, Avatar, Halo, Cyberpunk, Terminator, and Gears of War.

These universes had already established human colonies both within and beyond their respective solar systems.

Magnus ensured that the most powerful and largest of his companies, the 1st Company, was sent to the Halo universe.
