MTLNOVEL Chapter 12: CHAPTER 12
The chief couldn't believe Zane was still this confident after hearing the Byson family. Everyone quivers when they hear the family name in this neighborhood, yet this man was looking all tough like the Byson family were nothing to him, even knocking two policemen to the ground inside a police station.
At first he thought Zane was drunk, but now he believes Zane was mentally ill and Zane would pay for his sins.
"Go down on your knees, bastard. It's all over for you and your bitch girlfriend or wife. Whatever she is to you."
Zane was showing no care to what the chief was saying. He simply brought his phone out and voiced out in a dry tone.
"I warned you but you didn't listen, now you will face the consequences of being stubborn."
The chief expression darkened. He raised his gun higher, aiming directly at Zane's forehead.
"Get on your knees, pal or I will shoot you in the head."
Zane made the call regardless of the guns being pointed at him. It was as if nobody was pointing a gun at him.
Zane simply had no pressure in him. The call went through and Zane voiced out.
"Victor Wesley, I am in a police station in Rose Berry. Find me, and you have just ten minutes to do so."
With just those few words, Zane ended the call. As Zane shoveled his phone back in his suit pocket, the police chief couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"It clearly isn't the Victor Wesley that I know. A man like you can never stand in the presence of Victor Wesley let alone have his contact number and order him around like he is some kind of bumpkin boy"
The chief tone hardened as he was talking. He couldn't believe a little kid like this was mentioning the extra ordinary Victor Wesley. A man that springs fear on the faces of almost all the second class wealthy families around.
Victor Wesley was a street man, but he wasn't just like those local thugs running around the street, he controlled the street, the boys, the houses, the people, whatever was on his territory was under his control.
Victor Wesley had more men than the police, and he didn't have regular men but well experienced fighters. This was the reason nobody dared to go against him and the police as well, especially in his territory.
If a person stays in Victor Wesley territory that person automatically belongs to Victor Wesley.
The police station was under Victor Wesley territory and so were the Byson families and some other second class families, they were all under Victor Wesley territory, so Victor Wesley was more powerful than them.
The chief couldn't believe that a little rat like Zane would be mocking a man like Victor Wesley. He wished he had Zane on video so he could bow and show it to Victor Wesley the next time luck shines on him, and he crosses paths with Victor Wesley.
"You will know when he comes."
Zane simply said as he found a seat to sit down. Zane motion caused the facial expression on everyone to change. They wondered if Zane was telling the truth. Zane had nothing to gain if he was lying, and looking at the way Zane was confident, Zane's words had to be true, but they doubted it to the heart.
Victor Wesley wasn't a man anybody could control around, even the Mayor of the city had to respect him, let alone a stranger with no status.
The chief couldn't take Zane's arrogant behavior anymore. If they weren't inside a police station he would've shot Zane already.
The chief stepped out of the front desk and walked directly to Zane.
"You think this is funny, mentioning Victor Wesley's name like he's some kind of puppet to you, you think that will scare us."
The chief reached Zane and directly aimed his gun at Zane's forehead.
"On your knees now, put your hands up and turn your back facing me, otherwise I will shoot you in the leg for resisting arrest."
Zane poker's facial expression didn't break, despite a gun being pointed to his forehead.
"You would regret doing this soon, and all you have been doing. You will be wishing that you listened to me but it would be too late then, and I wouldn't listen to you even if you strip off and walk round this station barebutt."
Zane words were frightening to the chief. He had never been threatened before, certainly not in this way.
He was holding a gun to Zane's forehead, yet Zane was telling him what would most likely happen to him in the future.
The fact that Zane was a nobody was making the chief more angry.
"Let's see how I will beg you when you are dead!"
The chief moved the aim of his gun to Zane's legs. He wanted to pull the trigger when several footsteps were heard.
"Is he here!!!!"
A loud thunderous voice seemed to have vibrated the entire building. The chief eyebrows moved when he heard the voice. It sounded familiar. The voice sounded like Victor Wesley's voice.
That can't be!
The chief heart missed a beat then. To his greatest surprise Victor Wesley entered the space.
Everyone was stunned to the bone, they quickly lowered their weapons at Zane, however the chief was too shocked to drop his weapon.
Victor Wesley's expression darkened at once seeing the chief was aiming his pistol at Zane's forehead. He roared with veins showing on his neck.
"What the hell are you doing, bastard! Drop your gun now!"
Victor brought his gun and aimed it at the Chief.
The chief instantly let go of his gun and turned to face Victor. He stammered.
"This is a mistake. There must have been a mistake somewhere. I didn't know..... He was your man! I swear I would've stayed out of it!"
Victor walked faster to the chief with his expression darkening more as he came closer to the chief. Before the chief could do anything, Victor gave him a hot slap on the face.
"How dare you address him that way. Do you have any idea what you have just done!"
The slap caused the chief to almost collapse to the ground. He straightened up and Victor pointed his pistol at the chief forehead.
"You deserve to die for this."
