Chapter 930: Chapter 928: I’ll Take You to the Training Ground to Watch the Fun~

“You two go check out the commotion,” he said. “Qian Meng knows ancient martial arts, Liang Luoyu isn’t a match for him at all…”

Mu Chengxi’s words were brief, but Gu Yanzhe and Ling Yichen understood immediately and quickly left the living room to head to the arena to find those two.

Wen Xin connected a call with Sun Ning upstairs, and Sun Ning’s tone was somewhat excited as he began, “Little princess, I think I’ve managed to develop the antidote for the Xiao Mi bio-agent. Can you notify Xiao Mi to come to the research institute?”

Upon hearing Sun Ning’s words, Wen Xin was also somewhat happy. She hadn’t expected Sun Ning to be so quick, which was really timely. As long as Xiao Mi and Wen Yunuo succeeded in detoxifying, that would mean breaking free from the Old Fox’s control.

That would mean no more worries when it was time to make a move.

“I’ll call Xiao Mi right away, but… speaking of which, shouldn’t you have Xiao Mi’s contact details?”

Wen Xin found it strange that Sun Ning was not contacting Xiao Mi directly but was calling her instead.

“Heh, speaking of which, I should have her contact details, since I’ve witnessed Xiao Mi’s abilities firsthand, but…”

“It just so happens that I never thought to add Xiao Mi’s contact details. Previously, she always brought the blood samples herself.”

Discussing the matter made Sun Ning somewhat embarrassed. He had considered adding Xiao Mi’s contact details, but each time he remembered to do so, Xiao Mi had already left.

Listening to Sun Ning’s explanation, Wen Xin smiled lightly. She wasn’t too surprised by this situation—after all, Xiao Mi wasn’t one to frequently add contact details.

“Alright, I understand. I’ll send you Xiao Mi’s contact details in a bit. She should still be at home today. Contact her directly and ask her to come see you,”

Wen Xin felt some matters might be more conveniently discussed between the two of them…

“No, little princess, come over too. Come and look at your data. I might still need to draw some blood from you. The data really isn’t revealing any issues. Let me ask, have you felt any recovery in your body? Or anything unusual?”

Sun Ning looked at Wen Xin’s data, frowning deeply. This problem was too difficult; he really couldn’t find anything abnormal in the data. Even more, her body seemed strangely healthy; all the data were within optimal values.

Wen Xin thought seriously about Sun Ning’s words. She just felt weak all over, but there wasn’t any stimulated reaction—a strong feeling was not being triggered.

“Right now, other than feeling weak all over, I don’t feel uncomfortable elsewhere. But I just feel something isn’t right; the effect of the medicine seems too sensitive. I can definitely confirm that it’s not from my pill, so I really can’t understand it.”

“Indeed, little princess, what you said is also correct. Your blood values really aren’t quite normal, so I still need your blood to continue my research. Come over tonight with Xiao Mi.”

Sun Ning looked at Wen Xin’s data, feeling helpless; it was his first encounter with such a good looking report, where all the values oddly seemed abnormal.

“Alright, see you tonight.” Wen Xin responded softly, feeling that she indeed needed to have another blood draw, maybe to detect some abnormalities.

Wen Xin hung up the call with Sun Ning. She shifted her position in the chair and dialed Xiao Mi’s number; the phone rang for a long time, remaining unanswered…

Wen Xin took the phone from her ear, glanced at the number on the screen, and wondered what Xiao MI was busy with and why she wasn’t answering.

Yet Wen Xin didn’t dwell on it too much. She put away her phone, stood up from the chair, and didn’t mind. She figured Xiao Mi would call her back.

Wen Xin lazily stretched and glanced at the time on her wristwatch. She walked out of the study, searching for Mu Chengxi, puzzled as to why he hadn’t come upstairs to find her.

Descending the stairs, Wen Xin saw Mu Chengxi sitting on the couch, absorbed in a tablet, probably dealing with some matters. He appeared quite serious.

Approaching Mu Chengxi, Wen Xin extended her hand and wrapped it around his neck, leaning on his shoulder to nuzzle him.

“Did everyone leave? Why didn’t you go to the study to handle things?”

“I was waiting for you to come down. I wanted to take you to the training ground to have a look,” Mu Chengxi said. He put the tablet on the coffee table beside him and, with his arm, drew Wen Xin up from the couch alongside him.

Bracing herself with her arms, Wen Xin sat up from Mu Chengxi’s lap and quirked an eyebrow at him, indicating her puzzlement.

“What are we going to do at the training ground? Is there something fun happening?” Wen Xin was puzzled, not understanding what Mu Chengxi intended to do with her there.

Seeing the doubtful expression on Wen Xin’s face, Mu Chengxi couldn’t help but gently kiss the corner of her lips.

“Liang Luoyu and Qian Meng have some personal disputes, and you probably know Liang Luoyu’s personality. It isn’t easy for him to let go of past events,” he explained.

“So, they’ve decided to settle it by fighting. Shall we go watch?”

“Just Liang Luoyu? How could he possibly beat Qian Meng? He’s probably only good for getting beaten up,” Wen Xin scornfully pursed her lips. It wasn’t that she looked down on Liang Luoyu; she was just aware of Qian Meng’s prowess.

“Probably. Gu Yanzhe and Ling Yichen have already gone to watch. I guess they’ll step in when Liang Luoyu is getting severely beaten,” said Mu Chengxi, though he seemed unsure whether the intervention by Gu and Ling would be of any help.

“Look at you, not even sure of what to expect. Let’s go have a look. If Liang Luoyu gets seriously hurt, I might have to step in and treat him, which will take up too much of my time,” Wen Xin suggested.

Wen Xin got off Mu Chengxi’s lap and took his hand, pulling him up from the couch.

Mu Chengxi stood up and, spontaneously, embraced Wen Xin tightly, lovingly kissing her neck.

When Wen Xin and Mu Chengxi arrived at the training ground, everyone was intently watching the closely fought battle between the two men.

Wen Xin leaned lazily against Mu Chengxi, her beautiful eyes slightly squinted, a faint smile playing in her gaze.

“Qian Meng is being too harsh. What exactly is the personal grievance between him and Liang Luoyu? This doesn’t seem like any ordinary personal dispute; you can tell Liang Luoyu is genuinely putting effort into it,” she observed.

Wen Xin could see that Qian Meng wasn’t really fighting Liang Luoyu. It was more like he was toying with him.

However, this form of toying did not make Liang Luoyu feel any happier; instead, it made him increasingly irritable.
