A Life in Berry (Gacha System) (Multiverse) (Interactive)

Chapter 18: Berry hot(Chapter 14)

(First POV)(World:Origin)

(Few days later)

Since that day, I'd mostly been holed up at home, digging through notes and researching other worlds. Every so often, I popped back over to Fryman's Fry Shop to check in on Ronaldo's progress. Not that he'd made much headway tracking down the elusive Crystal Gems—but you couldn't say he wasn't trying his absolute hardest. He was still laser-focused on scanning them with the Omnitrix Scanner the moment they showed up.

Meanwhile, my personal research had taken a sudden detour into the world of Miraculous Ladybug. Why? Because my brother used to watch it religiously a few years back… and, okay, maybe he still does, but at least it's not an all-consuming obsession anymore. Right?

I was sitting at my desk—laptop open, tabs upon tabs of alternate universes, lore, and theories—when BMO wandered in, waving a little piece of paper like it was a top-secret mission.

"MASON, I got a message!" BMO announced, beaming up at me.

I looked up from the screen, blinking. "A message? From who?"

BMO shuffled closer, eyes bright.

"From the system! The summer event is happening today! It says so right here!"

I stared at him, feeling my pulse skip. "Wait… what?"

It took me a second to process the info. Something about a summer event—and, apparently, today was the big day. I glanced at the window, where the sun was already high and the air outside looked oppressively hot.

Well, guess I'm gonna need to shift gears pretty fast.

"Okay, show me the summer event information," I said, trying to sound casual.

"Okay!" came BMO's cheerful reply.

Damn, he really is adorable, I thought as I scooped him up. He shifted in my arms, and a text prompt lit up on his screen. Curious, I leaned in to read what it said.

Fuck NO!! I am not doing week 3 or 4!! What! Do you want me to die itch?!

Win a shootout?! Kill an angle?! Defeat Titan?! Fucking win a game of fortnite and apex legends!!! What do I look like?!!

Don't forget Resident evil..For some reason undertale is kinda good but the anomaly part…yea fuck that, if it is the man who speaks in hands then I am fucked.

"For now, let's focus on trying to do the first week," I muttered, tapping my pen against the scribbled notes sprawled across the desk. "Seems easy enough, though I'm a bit anti-social, so it's still gonna be rough." I shrugged, trying to push away the anxiety in my mind. Honestly, I'd gotten better at ignoring what people thought of me, but well…old habits die hard.

Yet, in the back of my head, the items in Week 3 and Week 4 were so…interesting. They were so good—maybe too good to pass up. A small part of me wondered if they were worth the risk. Would I really gamble my life for a shot at those items?

"Ugh, I'll need armor," I mumbled. "Something sturdy. Maybe I should bring my Blades of Chaos." I glanced over at the counter close by the microwave, where the formidable weapons—straight from the fires of Hades—rested. "If they can kill gods, they can probably kill an angel from Hazbin Hotel, right?" The idea sounded absolutely insane, but hey, I'd already dabbled in crazy shit.

Then another thought struck me: "Oh, wait—what if I steal a holy spear from a dead angel?" The mental image of carrying around a massive glowing weapon made me snort. "It'd be cool, but will probably be a pain to hide." I shook my head, deciding to pin that on my ever-growing to-do list.

BMO, perched on the nearby desk, broke me out of my daydreaming.

"Thanks, BMO," I said, giving him a little nod of appreciation.

"You're welcome, Mason," he chirped in his usual cheerful tone.

I set him down gently.

After a moment, I cleared my throat. "BMO," I began, keeping my voice quiet, "would you like to go on many adventures?"

He looked up at me with those wide, pixelated eyes. "Adventures? With you?" A sweet smile spread across his little screen. "Yes! That sounds like fun!"

I couldn't help returning the smile. "Alright then," I said, petting the top of his plastic in a mock-pet way, "get ready. Because if Week 3 and Week 4 go half as crazy as they look, we're in for one wild ride."

(Few hours later)

So A week passed meaning I had around 14 bronze and 1 silver which I switched the 14 bronze for 1 silver. That left 2 silver and bronze. Damn really learning to do simple math here.

Either way let's Gamble for the last time before I decide to travel to a new world to complete my first summer mission.

I decided to just leave it on my bedside desk for a while. Let's continue with the next ticket!

This is… surprisingly useful. Carrying everything in a backpack can be risky—stuff gets stolen or damaged way too easily. But with this setup, I can stash smaller, more effective items without stressing about them. The only problem? I don't have many of those left. I already used up my radianite vial—or whatever it's called—to make some fancy energy drinks.

Damn my cursive mind! Now I'm stuck with just a few items that I can slip into my utility belt.

I slide in my Goblin Coin, Phoenix Feather Charm, Capsule House, and Etherium Compass into the puches of the utility belt.

"…Wait, am I Batman now?"

Cloak: Elven Cloak of Silence (check)

Grappling Hook: Enchanted Grappling Hook, plus the belt version (check)

Skills: Hamon (…maybe?)

Stealth: Predator Cloaking Device (check)

Damn, the system really wants me to play mini-Batman over here.

Anyway, that sorted, I started figuring out which world I should head to next:

Phineas and Ferb would be so cool, they might make me a unique item if I asked them. The item I get from completing their mission is kinda bad unless you want endless water…Damn that could be good for the later mission of surviving in the gerudo desert. Never mind.

The Pokemon one is extremely easy just to travel to a beach and help someone random. Profit.

Sonic honestly would be easy since I just need to collect 3 gold rings.

The Equestria Girls would be hell since I hate singing in front of people. Yep I am scared of big social interactions and this is one of the biggest ones. So maybe last?

Lilo & Stitch would be the same but worst since I need to enter a surf competition and win…..

Wait, I do not need to win! It just says join or compete in both Lilo and Equestria Girls! HELL YES!!

The Gravity Falls one is the hardest one but I could travel to their world when they are investing in the cult and just help them…All the worlds are pretty easy but I should be careful just in case.

Which should I pick?
