A new obito

Chapter 2: Chapter 2

While Kakashi watched the fight between Naruto and Sasuke, Edward was still confused about how he had ended up in Obito's body. His mind kept racing, wondering what he would do from now on.

—What the hell do I do now? Most likely, like Sasuke, I'll end up imprisoned. How stupid... I'll have to accept the sins Obito committed, but I have no choice. I won't die again.

With a sigh, Edward stood up from the rock where he was sitting and activated his Sharingan. A strange sensation washed over him as he felt the power of those eyes.

—These eyes... It'll still take me some time to get used to them, but in time, I'll master them perfectly.

With Obito's memories and knowledge, Edward knew he had the potential to become one of the most powerful people in this world, alongside Naruto and Sasuke. Of course, not forgetting the Otsutsuki, who always posed a latent threat.

While Edward reflected, Kakashi and Sakura approached Naruto and Sasuke, who were lying on the ground, exhausted and each missing an arm.

—Did they finish? I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even notice the fight. Although it didn't last long... I hope Sasuke doesn't hold too much resentment toward me after everything Obito did to him.

Walking slowly toward where Kakashi and the others were, Edward stopped in front of Sasuke. He stared at him without looking away and extended his hand as a gesture of reconciliation.

—I know what I did is unforgivable, but I truly hope we can coexist from now on —he said sincerely, though doubts still echoed inside him about whether he was truly worthy of forgiveness.

There was an awkward silence that seemed to stretch on forever. Finally, Sasuke took Edward's hand and stood up with difficulty. He looked him directly in the eyes, his expression hard to decipher.

—I accept your apology —Sasuke said coldly—. Likewise, I thank you for helping us defeat Kaguya.

Edward nodded, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. Without wasting time, he performed a series of hand seals, and out of nowhere, a white Zetsu appeared.

—Naruto, Sasuke, thank you for accepting me after all the evil I committed. I truly appreciate it —Edward said as a blue chakra began to envelop his hands.

With quick and precise movements, Edward extracted the arms from the white Zetsu.

—These arms will surely be useful to you —he said, holding the limbs out to them—. It's not much, but it's the least I can do to make up for my mistakes.

**Some time later**

After Sasuke undid the Infinite Tsukuyomi, the world slowly began to recover. However, the peace didn't last long. The leaders of the other villages, aware of Obito and Sasuke's involvement in the war, demanded an emergency meeting.

In an improvised conference room, the Kage of the other villages gathered with Konoha's leaders. Gaara (Kazekage), A (Raikage), Mei (Mizukage), and Ōnoki (Tsuchikage) were present, along with Tsunade (Hokage of Konoha) and the previous Hokage: Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen, and Minato.

—We cannot allow Obito and Sasuke to remain free —A said firmly, slamming his fist on the table—. Both are war criminals and must be judged.

—I agree —added Mei, crossing her arms—. Sasuke betrayed his village, and Obito caused countless deaths. We can't simply ignore their crimes.

Gaara, though calmer, nodded.

—I understand that they both helped defeat Kaguya, but that doesn't erase their past actions. Justice must be impartial.

Ōnoki, the Tsuchikage, leaned forward, looking at Tsunade sternly.

—Konoha cannot protect its criminals. If you don't act, the other villages will do it ourselves.

Tsunade looked at the previous Hokage, seeking their opinion. Hashirama was the first to speak.

—I'm sorry, but they're right. We cannot allow Obito and Sasuke to remain free.

Minato, Naruto's father, lowered his gaze with sadness.

—Obito was my student, but his actions were unforgivable. I have no choice but to support his arrest.

Tobirama and Hiruzen nodded silently, confirming their support for the decision.

Tsunade sighed, knowing she had no other choice.

—Very well. Obito and Sasuke will be arrested and judged.

Upon learning of the decision, Naruto exploded in protest.

—This isn't fair! Obito and Sasuke helped us save the world!

—Naruto, this is non-negotiable —Tsunade replied firmly—. The other villages are right. We can't ignore their crimes.

Sasuke, for his part, showed no resistance. He knew his past actions had consequences, and he was willing to face them.

—It doesn't matter —Sasuke said, looking at Naruto—. This is how it must be.

Obito, however, wasn't willing to give up so easily.

—You can't do this to me —he muttered, but before he could act, the Kage surrounded him.

With quick and precise movements, they sealed Obito and Sasuke's chakra, leaving them unable to use ninjutsu or genjutsu.

—I'm sorry, Obito —Minato said with regret—. But this is necessary.

In Konoha's prison, Obito and Sasuke were locked in separate cells. Their bodies were completely sealed, and their eyes covered with special bandages to prevent them from using the Sharingan or Rinnegan.

Obito leaned against the wall of his cell, feeling a mix of frustration and determination.

Meanwhile, Sasuke meditated in silence, accepting his fate but not losing hope that, someday, he might find a way to redeem himself.

Outside the prison, Naruto looked at the building with an expression of frustration and sadness.

—This isn't right —he muttered—. I can't let it end like this.

Kakashi, who had observed everything in silence, approached Naruto.

—Sometimes, justice isn't fair —he said with a sigh—. But don't lose hope. Things can change.

Naruto nodded, though his determination didn't waver.

—No matter what happens, I won't abandon them.
