A Righteous Demon Girl and the Angel She’ll Never Meet

Chapter 3

Chapter 3 : The Bell Tolls for the Opening Act

Thinking of this, the expression on Iphilia’s face not only softened a lot, but she also began to try her best to patiently listen to her old dad’s completely unnecessary concerns and nagging.

Only at this time would Iphilia suddenly realize: That's right, I was no longer alone, I had a father again, a father who was related to me by blood, who truly cared for me, and doted on me.

In fact, long before Iphilia became a demon, her biological parents had already passed away when she was seven years old.

As for later… In order to avoid those relatives by birth who only coveted her parents’ posthumous inheritance, she had always lived in the home of her parents' good friends from when they were alive—who were also her godfather and godmother.

But that was all in the past now.

But all in all, since Satan had given me a new, warm family, then letting myself listen to this guy’s nagging for a bit… wasn’t entirely unacceptable, right.

“My dear daughter, if there’s anything you want to eat or want, just call your old dad. Even if you live in the human realm, don’t let yourself suffer any grievances…”

As time went on, Satan continued to fuss over this and that like an old woman, while the smile on Iphilia’s face became increasingly stiff and increasingly gloomy.

“And also! Your old dad, I, recently used this whatchamacallit… right, mobile phone, went online and took a look. There are so many of those scumbag men on the human side now! And their methods are all sorts of varied, specifically to win over young girls’ affection, and after they’ve had their fun, they’ll cast them aside without hesitation. My dear daughter, you must be extremely careful. If you notice anything amiss, call your old dad, me, or Lucifer and the others directly, and see if we don’t just…”

“Old Dad!”

Finally, our Miss Demon completely couldn’t hold it in anymore.

Her own old dad was worrying blindly to this extent; if she let him continue, what would happen?

So she, without hesitation, cut Satan off with a single sentence as he was still preparing to go on about this and that.

“I’m telling you! Can you not worry about this and that all day long? I’m not a child anymore, okay? And you don’t really think I can’t tell who is sincere to me and who is fake, do you? My heavens! My Soul Eyes are directly inherited from you, okay? I really don’t know what to say to you anymore…”

Without a doubt, Iphilia directly gave her old dad a thorough scolding and the person on the other end of the line, upon sensing his own daughter’s anger, immediately cowered.

The dignified Lord of Hell, he actually let his daughter scold him on the phone for five or six minutes. That truly was quite “majestic”.

“Alright, that’s it! Next time, don’t worry about those unnecessary things anymore. I’m already an adult; I know what I’m doing. Old Dad, you should focus more on managing Hell. I really don’t want the first thing I see next time I return to Hell to be Uncle Mephistopheles’ corpse from overwork and sudden death. Alright then, that’s it, goodbye!”

Speaking, Iphilia hung up the phone without hesitation, leaving only a wronged-looking Satan staring blankly at the words.

“The other party has hung up” on his phone, standing alone and swaying in the fiery winds of Hell.

“Boss, I think Little Iphie has a point! You can’t just dump everything on me! If this goes on, I’m really going to die from overwork! And think about it, the child is already so grown up. If you act like an old woman around her all day, she definitely won’t be happy! How about this, Boss, there’s been some trouble recently on the western border, why don’t you handle it yourself…”

Beside Satan, Mephistopheles, in his red-skinned devil form, said with a completely heartless expression and really, he couldn’t be blamed for this.

Originally, before Iphilia came, Satan was quite diligent and enterprising, handling almost half of Hell’s affairs.

Only some rather trivial and time-consuming matters needed Mephistopheles to handle.

But after having Iphilia, this precious daughter, Satan became like a completely different person.

He didn’t care about any damn thing anymore, dumped everything wholesale onto Mephistopheles, and happily focused all his attention on his own daughter.

Regarding this, Mephistopheles had only one sentence to express: Satan, you motherfucker! If you were human, I'd eat you!

However, Mephistopheles’ gloating remark only received a cold “Crawl away” from Satan.

Fuck! This damn daughter-doter is really fucking despicable!

Of course, Mephistopheles could only curse like this a couple of times in his heart; he wouldn’t dare to actually scold Satan like that.

Looking at the entire world, even the Archangel of the Angel race probably wouldn’t dare to provoke Satan like this.

The only one who probably had the guts to speak to Satan this way was his precious daughter.

So, this bunch of daughter-doters are really fucking.

“Sigh, alright Brother Satan, you should still give Little Iphie a bit more personal space. She’s already an adult; she can handle her own affairs.”

From behind, a handsome-looking man also walked forward and patted Satan’s shoulder comfortingly.

The man’s eyes were one gold and one red, looking rather chuuni, and on his back grew three pairs of black and white sacred wings, showcasing his “former” angel status.

That’s right, this person was none other than—the Fallen Angel, Lucifer.

Although he was once an angel, his current status in Hell, even if not equal to Satan’s, was by no means inferior to that of Mephistopheles, a lord of Hell.

“But that child… she would rather care about Mephistopheles and didn’t even ask how this old father of hers has been doing recently! Wuwuwu…”

Seriously, pal? So that’s what you’re hung up on?

Regarding this, both Lucifer and Mephistopheles could only be speechless.

Mephistopheles even wanted to curse ‘fuckit’.

It was still that phrase: Fuck that daughter-doter!

Having hung up on her old dad’s call, Iphilia continued walking in the small alleyway towards home.

If it were her former human self, walking alone in this kind of pitch-black and creepy place would definitely make her scalp tingle, but now she was a demon! Fear or anything like that, didn’t exist!

Quite the opposite, she even somewhat liked this feeling of darkness.

However, in the very next moment, the darkness was dispelled by a pure radiance.

“Caught you! You demon who arbitrarily takes others’ lives!”

A voice as ethereal as a lark’s echoed in the narrow alleyway.

Who is it?

Iphilia looked up, somewhat displeased, only to see a white, spherical object, like a flashlight, fluttering its wings on both sides and hovering in the air with a “patapata” sound.

That dazzling and annoying light was emitted by it and on the other side of the sphere, a young girl with a white wing growing from each side of her waist stood there smugly, looking down at Iphie with a condescending posture.

The young girl’s eyes were a soft gold, her platinum-blonde long hair cascaded freely like a waterfall, and a pair of small white wings on top of her head fluttered occasionally, looking quite cute.

Her identity was already obvious.

It was—an Angel!

And so, the story began.

This was a tale, beginning on a moonlit night.

This was both the first encounter between demon and angel, and also the reunion of the elder sister and younger sister.

Most importantly, the two young girls, destined to meet, finally encountered each other here.

From this point on, the bell tolling the opening curtain rang out.
