A Saiyan's Journey

Chapter 242: Could You Be the Boss of the Organization?

In a restaurant near Venice, Bucciarati and Giorno sat at a dining table.

On the table were two plates of pasta, some simple pastries, and a laptop.

"It's been half an hour since I sent the location to the Boss, but he still hasn't responded," Bucciarati said in a deep voice, looking at the communication messages on the laptop.

After barely managing to deal with two members of the assassination squad who had attempted to kidnap the Boss's daughter on the train, Bucciarati's team was temporarily safe.

However, due to the reckless actions of those two assassins, the train had to stop, forcing them to find another way to reach Venice.

Just as they were figuring out an alternative route, a message from the Boss came through on the laptop.

The message instructed them to find a place nearby to stay, send the address to the Boss, and wait for him to meet them in person.

When Bucciarati first received this message, he was skeptical—it was common knowledge within the "Passione" organization that the Boss never revealed himself.

So, the idea that the Boss would personally come to meet Bucciarati and his team naturally raised suspicions.

However, the message did come from the Boss's communication software, and Bucciarati thought that perhaps the Boss was simply eager to see his daughter, which would explain the unusual behavior.

Despite his lingering caution, Bucciarati decided to follow the instructions in the message.

"Giorno, you can go inside the turtle. I'll stay here alone and keep watch," Bucciarati said, turning to Giorno.

Giorno, as calm as ever, had the same black feather pinned to the ladybug brooch on his chest, just like he had the past few days.

Originally, Bucciarati had planned to wait for the Boss alone, but Giorno insisted on staying with him for some reason, so Bucciarati had no choice but to agree.

The turtle Bucciarati mentioned was sitting next to his seat, with an ornate key embedded in its shell.

This was no ordinary turtle—it was a Stand user raised by the "Passione" organization. Its Stand ability, called "Mr. President," allowed it to create a separate dimensional room within the key on its shell.

Inside the room were sofas, cabinets, a refrigerator, and a TV, providing a place for rest and concealment.

The other members of Bucciarati's team were currently hiding inside the turtle's room, waiting for Bucciarati's signal.

"No, I'm also curious about who the Boss of the organization really is," Giorno replied, shaking his head and choosing not to enter the turtle's room.

The reason Giorno wanted to stay outside with Bucciarati was simple—he felt that this situation might be related to Zuke.

Because his Stand, "Gold Experience," was connected to life energy, Giorno had sensed the black feather gaining life energy as soon as Zuke entered the JOJO world.

This made Giorno realize that his godfather—Zuke—might be up to something. Shortly after that, the Boss sent this strange instruction to Bucciarati.

Although Giorno thought it was unlikely, what if Zuke had already taken out the Boss?

With this thought in mind, Giorno didn't want to miss the chance to see his godfather by hiding inside the turtle's room.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," a voice suddenly rang out, startling both Bucciarati and Giorno.

The voice didn't come from outside the table but from the seat next to them—someone had silently sat down beside them without them noticing!

Both of their expressions changed drastically as they turned to look at the person sitting next to them, but their reactions were different.

Bucciarati's face was serious and cautious, and he had already summoned his Stand, "Sticky Fingers," ready for a fight.

Giorno, on the other hand, looked surprised but relieved. His tense mood relaxed, and he smiled as he said, "Godfather, I knew it was you."

Sitting next to Giorno and Bucciarati was none other than Zuke, who had left Polnareff's side to meet with Bucciarati's team.

Thanks to the effect of "Presence Concealment," Bucciarati hadn't noticed Zuke at all. Zuke had practically strolled over and sat down next to him without a sound.

As for why Giorno, who could sense life energy, also failed to detect Zuke, it was because Zuke had tested the ability of "Black Bird Requiem."

He spent a bit of "energy" to fix the outcome that "Giorno cannot detect Zuke," so Giorno, as if distracted, completely missed Zuke's arrival.

To some extent, it truly achieved a wish-fulfilling effect—Zuke was quite satisfied with the ability of Black Bird Requiem.

"What? Godfather?" Bucciarati, who had been on high alert, was stunned by Giorno's words.

Although he had only known Giorno for a couple of days, they had bonded over shared ideals and had shared quite a bit with each other.

But he had never heard Giorno mention having a godfather before! And this godfather looked... very young? He didn't seem much older than Giorno.

"My godfather's situation is a bit complicated..." Giorno knew Zuke looked young, but since he knew Giorno's father, it made sense for him to be his godfather—at least, that's how Giorno saw it.

However, the priority now wasn't explaining why Zuke was his godfather to Bucciarati. What Giorno cared about more was the reason his godfather had appeared here.

"Godfather, since you're here, that means... you're the one who sent the instructions to Bucciarati, right?" Giorno, though young, was sharp. As soon as he saw Zuke, he had already pieced together most of the situation.

Although he knew nothing about the Boss, Zuke had easily dealt with "Black Sabbath," an enemy Giorno had struggled against. That powerful impression was deeply etched in Giorno's memory.

So, Giorno had no doubt that Zuke could take down the Boss of the organization.

However, to Bucciarati, Giorno's words carried a completely different meaning. He looked at Zuke with a mix of shock and confusion.

What did that mean? Was Zuke the leader of the "Passione" organization?

"It's a bit complicated to explain... Why don't you have your team members come out? I'll explain everything to all of you at once," Zuke said, glancing at the turtle next to Bucciarati.

He could sense several "energy" signatures inside the key on the turtle's shell—likely the other members of Bucciarati's team.

"Also, there are some things I'll need your team's help with..."
