Absolute In/Existence

Chapter 78: Fishing Well

Cai Ling walked gracefully as she made her way to her master's private abode. With her veil covering her face, her ethereal beauty was hidden from the world.

As the Yin within her body grew purer, her charm continued to grow. Sooner or later, Cai Ling might need to hide herself from the world.

Walking into her master's abode, the young woman found her master resting on her bed like usual. Her nude body in full display and each of her movements carrying such enticing charm. The floor was filled with black smoke that constantly came out of Jae-Hwa's mouth.

"Xiao Ling, how has your partner been these past few days?"

With a whisper-like voice, Jae-Hwa began speaking to her personal disciple.

Cai Ling nodded her head, a light blush on her face.

In response to Cai Ling's silence, Jae-Hwa smiled. She had long been used to her disciple's silence and didn't bother her one bit.

"Do you have the fruits?" Jae-Hwa asked, a little expectantly, which went unnoticed by Cai Ling.

Tapping the ring on her left hands middle finger, Cai Ling summoned a couple of fruits.

Jae-Hwa's eyes lit up but she held herself back. She looked at Cai Ling and smiled.

"Thank you my disciple. Don't forget to take care of your health. Go rest and eat some more fruits."

Cai Ling nodded her head and left.

Jae-Hwa kept a close eye on her disciple, watching her leave. Carefully, she made sure she left. She even went so far as to spread her sensing ability to make sure Cai Ling had left.

Once she was sure that her disciple was gone, Jae-Hwa jumped off the bed. She giddily went up to the fruits, her eyes sparkling and with a wide smile on her face.

Insight fruits!

Fruit trees that had grow around an abundant amount of wisdom turn that wisdom into insight. Different to wisdom, the byproduct of enlightenment, insight is something that one can use to gain enlightenment.

With a single insight, one can enter into a state of enlightenment, but the more they gather, the stronger the enlightenment is and the longer the state will last.

Grabbing an Insight Peach, Jae-Hwa opened her pretty mouth and pressed her pearly whites onto the skin of the peach.

The juice of the peach flowed out and into her mouth, none of it going to waste. She felt it land on her tongue and go down her throat.

A cool sensation flowed into her stomach and rose up into her mind. It cleared her mind and she felt all her thoughts brighten up.

"Amazing!"

Biting down again, Jae-Hwa finished the peach, leaving behind a pristine peach seed.

Jae-Hwa couldn't even begin to describe just how amazing the Insight Peach was. She could feel like she can comprehend anything she wants the moment she decides to use the insight within her.

But she held herself back.

She still had four more fruits on the table, fruits filled with insights.

Cai Ling was smiling.

She felt happy after seeing her master and now she was heading back to train with Heaven like always.

Entering her abode's backyard, she found Heaven making a string. More than a week ago, Heaven had asked her for some silk, which he was now using to make a tough string. He was using a special technique as he made the string, one she had never seen before.

She could tell it was a special technique that will make the string become as tough as it theoretically can.

Curious, Cai Ling didn't begin training right away. She walked over to Heaven and sat next to him and Zhu, the little tiger cub.

"Hm?"

Looking down, she found a long stick on the ground with many markings over them. Reaching out to it and grabbing it, Cai Ling noticed that the long stick was made up of many sections. They seamlessly connected with each other and the engravings on them seemed to combine perfectly.

Inspecting the stick, Cai Ling noticed that it looked like a tool that the mortals use to fish, a fishing rod.

"What are these markings?" Cai Ling asked Heaven, curious.

Heaven didn't pull his gaze away from the silk string he was making, but he answered her nonetheless. He smiled and said, "It's just a design that I thought would make the fishing rod look nice."

As he said so, Heaven was thinking to himself.

It was normal for Cai Ling not to recognize the engraved inscriptions. Aside from the fact that they were engraved and not inscribed, the engraved incriptioms also didn't have any Qi.

But, those two weren't the main problem.

It was the appearance.

The systematic inscription every inscribe learns has its very own language. One that is set and followed by every inscribe.

As the only person to begin from 'zero', Heaven came up with his own language. Or rather a wide variety of languages.

He's tried doing random doodles, drawings, symbols, words… he's tried many things. They all worked, and Heaven came to a conclusion. That the appearance of the inscription didn't matter as long as the effect was there.

The systematic language was set for easier comprehension of inscriptions. Although as the years passed and generations of inscribes grew, many had forgotten about this and had simply accepted the inscriptions as is, none questioning its origins.

What Heaven had accomplished was amazing, he had essentially achieved a realm similar to the founder of Inscriptions.

"Are you going to fish?" Cai Ling asked as she looked over at Heaven curiously.

"Mm. Although there's no fish here, it's a bit of a shame. You think your master could bring me some?" Heaven asked after replying to Cai Ling.

The woman smiled and nodded, leaning over and placing her head on his shoulder.

They stayed that way until the sky turned dark and Heaven finally finished making the string. It was very long, approximately 150 meters of length. He had been working on the string for many days already, using a special tool and gathering much silk for the string.

It was very long.

Smiling satisfyingly, Heaven combined the fishing line with the rod he had made. The length of the rod was 1.7 meters long, it wasn't too long, but neither was it short.

As much as Heaven wanted to try out his new fishing rod, he had to hold back.

Cai Ling was currently next to him and he didn't want to expose one of his cards yet. As long as he gathers more cards, he wouldn't mind exposing one or two.

Besides, he didn't have a-

Just as Heaven was thinking, he saw Cai Ling holding something in her hand. She held it in front of his face, showing it to him with a smile.

"Gift…" she muttered, presenting exactly what he needed.

A fishing hook.

It was simple, yet it was very beautiful.

Silver grey in color, matching quite well with the polished dark brown fishing rod of his.

It was a simple fishing hook, no adornments or details on it. Heaven accepted it, holding it in his hands with gratitude.

"You didn't have to, Ling. Thank you," he whispered to her.

Tying it to his fishing line, Heaven smiled.

"Mm."

Cai Ling nodded and closed her eyes, letting herself fall asleep on his shoulder. She felt relaxed and very content, happy to be next to Heaven.

Even Zhu, the little tiger cub, began to nap.

Looking at both sleeping figures, Heaven chuckled. He turned his gaze to the side, his eyes landing on the well. Holding the fishing rod in hand, Heaven chuckled.

"Let's see how this goes…" he muttered.

Casting the fishing rod, Heaven watched as the silver hook flew through the air and dipped into the well.

Plop!

The hook fell into the water and disappeared.

World - The Breaker

Modern Day Korea

Inside a martial arts training room with a large building, a young man was sitting across from an old woman. They sat on the floor, looking at each other with serious expressions on their faces.

"You will be learning martial arts through the Yae-Won School's meditation," began the woman. She briefly glanced at the young man's broken hand, showing the reason for the meditation training.

"Meditation?"

The young man revealed a look of disbelief after hearing the old woman. He couldn't believe it. He had never heard of anyone improving their skills through simple meditation, neither did it really sound that convincing.

"Yes."

The old woman nodded.

"It will be difficult at first, but once you get used to it, your body will begin to show the improvements on its own."

The young man nodded his head, not too confident about this new form of training of the old woman. Yet he had no other choice.

Suddenly, the old woman smiled kindly at the young man before speaking.

"Good. Now, remove your clothes."

"Huh! N-no… why-"

The young man wanted to refuse out of embarrassment, but he didn't get the chance to. The two women that had long since been standing behind the old woman suddenly sprung forward to the young man.

"Yes, Master!"

The two women yelled.

"Ah! Wait!"

The young man pleaded with a red face, but the women were too strong and skilled. They removed the shirt on his upper body and tossed it aside before they both moved away.

"Ah?"

Nervous and embarrassed, the young man was glad that the two women stopped and only took off his shirt. He turned to look at the old lady who was holding back her smile.

"Let's begin."

The old lady moved herself, walking over and sitting behind the young man.

"Your Ki Center was destroyed, and I will move my Ki into your body to help you through the meditation. Make sure you concentrate and absorb my Ki into your body," explained the old lady as she reached her hand into her robe.

At that moment, unaware to everyone, a silver hook appeared out of nowhere up on the ceiling. The silk string it was hanging on seemed to be coming from the ceiling. It slowly descended down, aimlessly.

The old woman and the other two women were all unaware of the hooks' presence.

Pulling out the book from her robe, the old woman was planning on opening it to read it.

'Let's refresh my memories on the meditation technique…' she thought as she held the book in her hand.

Her aged hands held the book gently, slowly moving to hold the cover and open it to begin reading. She pressed her fingers on the cover and suddenly found something odd as she looked at a hook that had latched itself to her book.

"Who-!"

Her eyes widened in anger before clutching hard onto the book. She wanted to hold on to it, to prevent the book from being pulled by the fishing hook.

Suddenly, the old lady began to feel weak.

She no longer felt in control of her body and her hands slipped off the book. She could only watch as the book flew up into the air and disappeared into the ceiling. Shock overwhelmed the old lady as she stared at the spot in the ceiling where the book had disappeared off to.

"A-are you okay?" the young man called out nervously, worried about the old lady.

The old lady snapped out of her shock. She felt the strength in her body return and confusion begin to settle in as she wondered what had just happened.

"Everything's fine," the old lady answered, calming the boy down.

Once she did so, she turned her head to the sides, looking at her two servants, wondering if they saw it as well. They stood at the corner of the room, their eyes closed and calmly awaiting any instruction from her.

The old lady could only sigh, realizing that she was the only one to notice what had just occurred to her.
