Absolute In/Existence

Chapter 84: Fate Meeting

How did she know he was new to God's Sanctuary and didn't have any way to protect himself? Simple, the way he moved had already revealed to the woman that Long Tian didn't train or have any strength. Which meant he had never been to God's Sanctuary.

He also carried no weapon or armor, which further worried her. Since he had never stepped into God's Sanctuaey, it meant that he also had no Beast Souls to use.

Long Tian had no expensive clothes, nor did he carry any bearing of a noble or rich person. It further told the woman that he didn't have the capital to buy beast souls.

She turned and led the way, guiding Long Tian to the barracks. Rummaging through some items, she grabbed an alloy sword that has a single edge and an alloy chestplate.

"Take these," the woman said as she passed Long Tian the sword and chestplate.

Long Tian received the items and smiled.

"Thank you! May I know your name so that I can know who to repay?"

The woman smirked at Long Tian's words and shook her head. She looked at him and studied him, not really expecting someone new to God's Sanctuary to repay her. Especially one so foolish that could not even get any weapons or basic armor.

Was he planning on relying on his friends or try to join a team?

"You don't have to repay me, but…" she took a pause as she withdrew her gaze. She looked around the barracks before turning back to Long Tian. "… if you really want to…

Once you have some ability, come back here and talk to me."

Long Tian raised his eyebrows, but agreed nonetheless. He put the chestplate on and hoisted the sword at his waist.

"Do you know how to use that thing?" The woman suddenly asked as Long Tian turned to leave.

Long Tian stayed quiet as he held tightly onto the sword's hilt. He smiled wryly and turned to the woman before shaking his head.

There was no way he would know how to use the sword. He held knowledge, but it didn't necessarily mean he knew how to use a sword because of it. He left all the techniques, abilities, and whatnot with his other Body. In this way, he can gather the techniques of other realities and bring them back to his body to merge them together.

All to keep their 'purity'.

So, in every reality, he will start from zero, aside from talent, comprehensive ability and knowledge.

However, if his other body somehow dies, every bit of knowledge and memory he has kept in that body will be transferred to him. No matter the distance, time, or reality he was in.

"Goodness…"

The woman shook her head, already feeling a little disappointed in Long Tian. How could he not know how to use the sword, the compulsory education of the Alliance taught everyone how to wield a majority of weapons. They even taught basic military boxing techniques.

Yet Long Tian knew none of that.

"You… are very interesting…" the woman said in exasperation.

Even Long Tian sighed in embarrassment. How was he supposed to know that he would be dragged to the side just as he was heading to God's Sanctuary. Now he will be getting a lecture from this woman and taught how to use a sword before he can step into God's Sanctuary.

Who knew how long that would take!

"Stationmaster, we have some documents here that need signatures."

Suddenly interrupting Long Tian and the woman, a soldier appeared at the door with papers in his hands. He looked at the woman and cast Long Tian a curious look before withdrawing it.

The woman looked at the soldier and over at Long Tian before sighing. She placed her hands on her hips and looked at the soldier.

"Place the papers in my office, I'll be there soon." She turned her gaze to Long Tian and spoke to him. "As for you… I won't be able to help you for now. Head into God's Sanctuary and try to join a group or the military gang so that you can learn from them."

With that, the woman turned to leave. She carried her body forward, but stopped at the door.

"Qin Xuan, that is my name."

Long Tian watched as she continued walking and left. He sighed in relief before smiling and running out of the barracks.

Bang!

Suddenly, Long Tian bumped into another person, both going out of balance and falling to the floor. Lifting his head, Long Tian looked at the boy before him curiously.

"I'm sorry, I was a little too excited just now," Long Tian began as he got himself up and stretched a hand out to the other boy clad in black and a dagger at his waist.

The boy accepted the help and got up, responding with his head a little lowered. His eyes noticing Long Tian's gear.

"It's okay. I was also a little distracted…" the boy said.

Long Tian smiled, liking the boy already and glad he didn't run into anyone prideful or arrogant. It is always a hassle to deal with those types of people.

"It's my first day entering God's Sanctuary, do you have any tips?" Long Tian asked, wondering if there is any information that he may be lacking or might need.

The boy looked at Long Tian a little surprised before smiling a little self-deprecating. He lowered his head before picking it back up and answering him.

"Always make sure that the creature you are attacking isn't someone shapeshifting."

Long Tian looked at the boy, a little stunned. It seemed like he had accidentally done that and it may have gone downhill for him since then.

Without prying or saying anything, Long Tian nodded with a smile and thanked him.

"My name is Long Tian. Hope to see you in there some day," Long Tian responded as he listened to the other boy.

Nodding with a faint smile, the boy replied.

"Han Sen, and likewise. Best of luck."

Long Tian nodded and turned around, ready to continue heading to the teleport pad before stopping.

'That boy, Han Sen, he may have had bad luck, but meeting each other must be fate,' Long Tian suddenly thought as he stopped and turned to Han Sen who was still standing in the same place.

Approaching him, Long Tian waved his hand, signalling to his comlink.

"Let's stay in contact!"

Han Sen looked at Long Tian in surprise, he planned to reject at first but had a thought. It wouldn't hurt him to make friends with another person, someone of his age and on the same planet as him.

Maybe they could hang out here in Planet Roca and train to become stronger together. It might not help his situation in God's Sanctuary, but at least he wouldn't be as miserable with someone to talk to.

Not to mention that Long Tian seemed like an easy going and cheerful guy.

Then, without realizing it, he had already exchanged information with Long Tian.

Long Tian smiled at the first contact in his comlink. He waved at Han Sen, wishing him luck before turning to the teleportation pads. Now, he can head straight into God's Sanctuary without wasting a single moment more.

Stepping onto the teleport pad, Long Tian saw the world before him morph and change. Before he knew it, Long Tian found himself inside a stone room. The stone room he is in will become his personal room within God's Sanctuary.

Looking around, there was a small fire pit that was used for cooking. At the edge of the room, there's a wooden bed with some blankets and a pillow on top of it.

Tightening the grip of his new sword's hilt, Long Tian stepped out of the stone room.

"Stationmaster, who was that boy?"

Entering her office, Qin Xuan was reading some documents. The soldier from earlier was standing nearby, curious about Long Tian's identity.

"Just someone underprepared." Qin Xuan responded without lifting her head.

The soldier nodded and stepped out, leaving Qin Xuan to her documents. She read through the documents seriously, but somewhere in between, her mind wandered.

She thought back to Long Tian and wondered whether he will be fine in God's Sanctuary. Usually, she didn't need to care about others, but this particular guy was rather peculiar. He knew no martial arts and was so poor he couldn't even afford a simple dagger.

Somehow, it worried her a little.

"Haa…"

Slamming the documents onto the table, Qin Xuan rubbed her temples.

'I'll wait for a week and keep an eye out for him. Hopefully he has some luck and doesn't die.'

Qin Xuan sighed and returned to her work.

"Steel Armor Shelter…"

Long Tian looked at the name of the shelter he was sent to. Everyone who teleports to God's Sanctuary gets sent to a shelter where they are free of harm from the creatures that roam here.

Turning his gaze away from the shelter's sign, Long Tian looked around. In this shelter that Long Tian has been sent to, there was no guide book to tell him about creatures he could hunt here.

He wouldn't want to step out of the shelter and instantly run into a powerful sacred-blood creature. In God's Sanctuary, the strength of the creatures are separated into four levels.

Ordinary, Primitive, Mutant and Sacred-Blood.

Here, even ordinary creatures are stronger than the average animal outside of God's Sanctuary. Here, one needs either top notch skills or a good team to hunt just ordinary creatures.

Either that, or seek the naturally weaker ordinary creatures. creatures such as insects or other smaller, and defenseless, creatures.

Holding his sword, Long Tian turned to the entrance of the shelter but there were only people looking to sell their services. With no money, he can only grit his teeth and explore himself.

Just as he was planning to head out, a familiar figure appeared in his eyesight.

Before Long Tian could call out to Han Sen and seek some form of cooperation, a man riding a beast soul mount stood in front of Han Sen with a look of contempt in his eyes.

"Ass Freak, why do you even bother to return here," snarked the man.

Han Sen kept quiet however, knowing that no matter what he answers, the man will say something about it. Despite the quietness and how submissive Han Sen appeared, there was an unyielding look in his eyes.

It was something that even Long Tian had to commend Han Sen for. Even in tough times, Han Sen still tried his best to improve here in God's Sanctuary.

Long Tian stood back and watched, not because he didn't want to help Han Sen, but because he didn't have the strength to do so. Stepping in would only make matters worse for both of them.

Gripping the sword at his waist tightly, Long Tian stepped out of the shelter and stood at the edge. There, he stood tall and waited for Han Sen to appear.

Han Sen walked out with his head slightly lowered but his footsteps were firm, a goal in mind.

Moving, Long Tian walked up to Han Sen's side and smiled as he walked forward with him. Instantly, Han Sen had noticed the extra pair of feet walking next to his and he lifted his head warily.

His eyes widened when he noticed a familiar face.

It was only minutes ago that they had seen each other, yet here they were once more.

"Long Tian? You… what are the chances?"

Han Sen was amazed. The chances to land in the same shelter were astronomical. It isn't known how many shelters there are in God's Sanctuary, nor how big the sanctuary itself is.

But to land in the same sanctuary requires immense luck.

"Right? It's pretty amazing," Long Tian answered with a smirk.

Han Sen smiled well but shortly afterwards stopped. He looked at Long Tian and back at Steel Armor Shelter before muttering to him.

"You… saw what happened back there… Right?"

Long Tian nodded.

"You can't hang out with me or they will ostracize you as well. You won't be able to trade or buy anything from anyone in the shelter…" Han Sen continued.

Long Tian smiled and nodded, understanding.

"It's fine." Long Tian answered simply. "I'm an orphan. I'm already used to such a thing."

Han Sen stopped speaking and looked at Long Tian for a moment before smiling. He took a step forward and Long Tian followed.
