Chapter 569: Seeing It All, Doing Nothing
"A Succuterra?" she asked, as Ryuk shrugged.
"Not much difference from a succubus, so no need to think too much about it. How does it feel anyway? In this form, compared to your previous form?"
"Any pain anywhere, or feeling slow or awkward in it?" he asked, as Rakshasa narrowed her eyes, to her hands, curled and unfurled her fingers a couple of times.
"I feel like I've been carrying a mountain on my back before, and now, it's been settled to the ground."
"But there's also the weird feeling of weakness, like I'm only half as powerful as I normally am in my true form," she said, as Ryuk nodded.
"That's pretty common. A beast's powers will be halved once she goes into her human form, and it's best used for easy maneuverability and to conserve the needless energy that their true form will cost."
"That's not weird. Just stay longer in the form—you'll get used to it," Ryuk said before he moved off the balcony and entered into his room, stepping down to reach for the stairs.
That was when he heard the noise from the TV as his eyes sharpened with focused intensity, and he moved, peeking his head below.
"Are you seeing this, Ryuk?" Antares' words rang out without him turning his head, as Ryuk descended fully into the living room to stand behind the sofa.
His brows creased when he looked at the visuals.
But more surprise flickered in his eyes as he looked and saw the Antares pick up the remote and switch to another channel, only for the same news, and then another, and then another, and yet another again.
Yet all were in one way or another referencing the same event.
The sound of footsteps echoed out as Rakshasa descended down the steps to see both men with their eyes focused solely on the television, switching it up and down with speed, piquing her curiosity before raising her eyebrow when she saw the footage.
The footage of both Ryuk and the girl sharing and walking out of the gate with a lady, with most of her features covered in a robe hanging on Ryuk's arms.
One she knew to be no one but herself, but the imprinting statement written below made her raise an eyebrow.
"They're placing the footage of the female Titan that you requested to lead us into the forge with the lady you brought out. They think they both are the same and the image made us look like kidnappers..." Antares said, as Ryuk mused out.
"More like rapists..." he muttered, looking at the test below the news

"What do we do?" Antares asked, as Ryuk shrugged his shoulders.
"Just ignore it..." He said walking off to the kitchen area of the house.
He had once more begun to feel that familiar hunger within him after he had gotten back to Endearth from the Ruin.
And now that he had a little bit of free time, he might as well make something nice for himself.
The ingredients for something really good were already there—all that needed to be done was the cooking.
Ryuk quickly began working away and was so engrossed in what he was doing that he didn't know when Rakshasa appeared behind him until about three seconds later.
"You starving?" He asked with a smirk, referencing why she was sneaking into the kitchen, as Rakshasa looked at the foodstuffs all around before she took her gaze off them.
"I don't... eat those," she said, as Ryuk hummed.
"I guess that makes sense. It's a different world, different dish after all."
"But I'll bet you eat meat in your world at least. I don't think one can live without one..." he said, with a smirk, as Rakshasa nodded a couple of times.
"True. But I don't especially eat meat. I only ever ate them once—and that was when I was a kid," she said, as Ryuk hummed, pouring oil into the frying pan to fry some eggs, resulting in a sizzling sound, before proceeding to grab a turner spoon by the side.
"So what do you eat then?"
"I don't eat. I drink," she said.
"You can survive on drinks? That's new. What do you drink? Soda, alcohols, or just humble water?"
"Blood," she said with an eerie grin, and Ryuk subconsciously paused in his actions, slowly turning his head behind him.
"What did you just say?" he asked, as Rakshasa laughed—quite an evil, spine-chilling one—when she saw Ryuk's petrified expression.
"I said, I drink blood... and I'm pretty hungry right now," she said, but the laughter gave her away.
"Hahaha. That's a good one, Raksha. For a moment, I thought I had a vampire case on my hands..." Ryuk said as he turned the eggs over, a beautiful aroma wafting through the room.
"A vampire case?" Rakshasa asked as she moved forward to a side in the kitchen, her hand reaching for the open cupboard and picking up a long red fruit before taking a bite.
She chewed on it for a while before her expression subtly shifted in her eyes as she studied the item.
"A vampire is one of the races on Endearth. They feed on blood."
"A race that feeds on blood. Sounds devilish..." she said as she grabbed another of the red fruit and stuffed it into her mouth, and soon she stuffed in dozens her cheeks growing wide from the munch.
"Devilish? I don't really think so. I mean, I've never seen a vampire drink blood before—only heard of it."
"And I've met a male vampire who seemed to be quite the gentleman. I even owe him a favor I have yet to repay."
"Been quite a long time though..." Ryuk thought as he halted his hand for a second, remembering Duke Thallion
It should have been four years now, and he had not seen the man ever since then.
And that reminded him of that spoiled Vampire princess he looked after—what was her name again? Vilora or something? Ryuk thought to himself.
'I'm surprised I even remember her name.'
She was that vampire girl who had always stared down on him during the trip to Garde B, but turned into a glue when they got to the Ascension Academy, but he never really spent much time in the academy before he was sent to that ruin.
'Now, one could say the Ascension Ruin really ruined my academy life a lot. So many people from the past that I hadn't met for so long...'

But quickly enough, he snapped out of his thoughts at the sudden noise, and he looked behind him to find Rakshasa up on the cupboards, her hands and feet having mrphed back to claws which dug into the walls while her remaining free hands were inside the peppery Fruit shelves as she stuffed them into her mouth nonstop.
She paused when she felt the stillness and the gaze on her back, and she stared back at Ryuk, who looked dumbfounded at her.
"What?"
