Chapter 580: Evolutions Complete 2
[Congratulations on Host's successful pet evolution.]
[Host's pet, Isha, has evolved from the Frost Wyvern Stage to the Frost Hydra Stage.]
[Host's pet is now an Ancestral Beast. An Eternity-Grade Creature!]
The system blinked as Ryuk's eyes gleamed with light.
'So after Grade A, the next stage is the Ancestral Beast?' he silently thought, but then—
"Quite the lovely bond you have with these creatures..."A voice rang out through the snow as he turned his gaze to find her walking forward—barefoot—through the snow.
It was a beautiful brown-skinned lady, with hair flowing like dark silk, falling like a waterfall on her shoulders.
If one looked at her eyes, they would notice a symbol—the symbol of love—painted in crimson across both irises, surrounded by a dark, void-like sclera.
"Rakshasa," Ryuk called out loud, but he suddenly felt Void's presence behind him, seemingly petrified.
"You gotta believe me, Ryuk. That woman—that woman—is an incarnation of evil. You've gotta get her out of here..." it said, its voice masked in hate and fury.
But then he noticed as Isha giggled mockingly at from the side
"Don't mind him, Ryuk. Void tried to sneak into her bosom and got beaten up."
"Now he's furious about it and won't stop trying to get back, but he's been defeated in every fight. Hence, his soreness..."
"YOU! You dare side behind the back of an evil person!"
"You see it, Ryuk?"
"Women are evil!"
"They stick together, bullying us men and not wanting us to be heard!" he said, but only watched as Ryuk gave him a mocking smile.
"So you got your ass whopped by a woman, eh Void? Tsk, tsk... Must've been quite shameful..." he said, watching in satisfaction as Void's eyes twitched in anger.
"Tch. You all are bullies!" he said before teleporting off, returning to the Pet World.
"Gotta give it to him though," Rakshasa said. "Its assassination ability is quite out of this world. Especially for a newly evolved Void Panther."
"Sorry for the pestering, Rakshasa. Void is quite the lecherous one," he apologized, but Rakshasa waved him off.
"All Void Cats are unreasonably mischievous...same for their higher evolved form."
"They're a menace even in the upper realms. First time seeing a lecherous one, though. Most Void Cats are usually quite disdainful."
"You could say he's a breath of fresh air," she replied, and Ryuk nodded, seeing that she wasn't really mad.
Ryuk knew Rakshasa was a succubus.
But unlike the tales of lasciviousness he had heard, he knew well she despised people laying hands on her.
That was something he could easily come to the conclusion of, after watching her burn up the men who reached toward her, then kept thier skull as a trophy.
To have Void's Lecherous hands and eyes roaming over her must've brought back quite the distasteful memory.
But seeing as she wasn't truly angered, he could exhale a bit.
"Anyway... where's Antares?" he asked.
KABOOOOOOOM!
A sudden explosion of flaming red energy burst into the sky from about 5 kilometers away.
Ryuk's eyes sharpened in that direction.
"Antares has been busy dealing with the assassins sent to this island. Seems like he's still a bit busy even right now..." Rakshasa said.
And immediately after—
KAAABOOOM
KAAABOOOM
KAAABOOOOM
Three more explosions of energy quickly followed, as Ryuk watched the ice covering the surface crack from the wave of power.
In the next instant, he hovered into the air.
"I'll check it out..." he said as Isha faded into the Pet World, and Ryuk became a silvery white light that pierced into the distance with speed.
Rakshasa's gaze glowed with energy as a frosty breeze swept across her figure, her gown fluttering a bit and she murmured—
"Cold."
-----
"I have to give it to you, Titan. You've got quite the brute force. "
"But Unfortunately... you'll be dying here today!"
The words echoed amidst the clash of energy, as four beams of light moved with intense speed around the frosty lake—explosions rupturing the serene space, continuing onto the sky.
Antares' axe crossed over his chest as he was being pushed back by three weapons held by experts covered in dark robes that hid their features.
His legs tore into the ice beneath him, but he was being pushed back as he was.
Yet, he smiled as a fiery red light flickered in his gaze.
"Die here, you say? Tsk... by you lots?" he asked in mockery, as his grin widended—and then—
BUURRSTT!
Flames of red gathered around his axe as veins bulged over his muscles.
In an instant, he stopped from getting pushed back and stepped forward.
BOOOOOOOM!
The shockwave shattered everything from the collision, sending the three experts flying.
In the next instant, Antares shot off with wild speed, appearing before one of them mid-air, and then—
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPP
Space was severed cleanly in two as the flaming, gigantic axe was sung down with incredible power, slamming toward the expert, who barely responded by piercing out with a long spear—only to have his weapon cleaved in two from its edge.
The axe continued downward, carving a diagonal arc across his chest as red blood splashed into the air.
BAAAAAAAAANG!
He slammed into the ground, the entire ice sheet giving way, and he was sent spinning into the water—red blood quickly dying the frosty lake red.
"DIEEEEEEEEEE!"
An angered roar boomed from behind Antares and his hand moved, his axe appeared behind his neck—and then—
CLAANNNG!
It shook heavily as a sword clashed violently with the weapon.
Immediately, Antares turned with speed, his second axe cleaved from below towards the expert's shoulder and then—
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!
It landed beneath its armpit and cleaved upward, severing the entire arm off him.
Blood sprayed out like waves from the injury as a groan echoed out from the assassin's lips but it was cut off when a feet smashed into his chest.
The sound of ribs cracking and blood splattering echoed before the expert was instantly sent flying into the icy ground, crashing through it and disappearing into the waters below.
"Just one more, huh?" Antares muttered with a grin, battle intent shining in his eyes as he turned to the last expert, who remained standing in position, taking slow steps backward.
But then—
The expert suddenly turned and ran as Antares scoffed, with a mocking smile but it faded quickly as he watched a five-meter-long crystal spike burst outward from the back of the running expert impaling his chest cleanly, and he was hung in the air amidst raining blood.
