Accidentally Yours, Mr. Stranger

Chapter 18: Seeking opinions

"Do you know anything about business or management?" Sienna asked once they hit the road. She flipped the property transfer contract and read it again to ensure everything was perfect.

"I might know a thing or two, Miss Lawrence," Kyrell replied, glancing at Sienna through the rearview mirror.

Since he was her guard now, he was also her driver. With him protecting her, she didn't need anyone else.

"Okay." Sienna nodded thoughtfully and bit her lip. "The company is currently in a turbulent situation, and many shareholders are demanding that I have over the decision making authority to somebody else."

Sienna started, and Kyrell listened to her intently, glancing at her once in a while.

"I need to shut their mouths and stabilize the situation. There are two projects that I feel are propitious. Clean Energy and buying a production house. I already have a production house I intend to buy, and we are meeting the owner today to discuss the same."

Sienna finally raised her head and looked at the man who was driving seriously.

"What do you think?"

Kyrell didn't panic when she asked him his opinion. Instead, he thought deeply, weighing the pros and cons of both projects.

"Miss Lawrence, do you want me to be honest?" he asked, once he had made his deductions.

"Please."

Sienna leaned back in her seat and folded her hands while she waited for the man to state his opinions.

"Clean Energy has a fantastic future. Other than the fact that the initial investment is high, there are only profits in the long run if it is planned properly."

Kyrell paused when they reached the intersection and glanced at Sienna as he waited for the signal to go green.

"But there is one major problem, not a problem per se but more like a limitation. The profits aren't instant. You'll have to wait a few months, maybe a year or two before you start seeing the profits."

"What about the production house?"

Sienna was impressed. The man wasn't answering her just to accomodate her. He had given her question some thought and was replying after analysing both the projects carefully.

"Investing in a production house is a good idea. But it could be quite risky. You'll have to be careful with the projects you choose in the future. The audience is picky nowadays, and anything could be a disaster if not planned properly."

Sienna was a shrewd woman. After all, she was a Lawrence, and her father and her brother had trained her personally. She caught onto his insinuation right away.

"Let's say I buy the production house today, Mr. Winchester. What do you think I should do next?"

Kyrell's brows shot up instantly, and he started driving again once the signal went green. Now, he was genuinely surprised. He hadn't expected her to ask him this question.

"Umm..." Kyrell thought for a moment before a man's face flashed before his eyes.

"Does the production house have any ongoing projects?"

"No. They haven't produced anything since the owner decided to see it."

"But they must have some projects waiting to be funded?"

Sienna nodded. Since she had decided to buy the production house, she had all the details she needed. There were quite a lot of optimistic projects that lacked funding.

"I would say choose the best project and proceed with it. Hire the staff, select the cast, and release the news to the press first. There are quite a lot of influential celebrities who can catch the audience's attention instantly. You'll have to choose well."

Sienna nodded, her lips curling into a smile. Kyrell's thoughts were along the same line as hers. He was a worthy person to seek opinions from.

"How good is your knowledge about celebrities and stuff?"

"May I know why you are asking me this, Miss Lawrence?"

"I'm not up to date with the entertainment industry. I would need someone to advice me on it."

"I'm not bad, but I'm not that great either."

"That works for the time being. I need an advisor until we hire more staff and stabilize the company."

"What about the people already working in there?"

"What about them?"

"Will you fire them?" Kyrell asked curiously.

"Depends."

"On?"

Sienna gave him a cryptic look, and Kyrell apologized instantly.

"My bad. I overstepped my boundaries."

"It's fine," Sienna brushed him off lightly, not taking his actions to heart. "And to answer your question, some people are already thinking of jumping ships."

"As for firing them..." Sienna thought for a moment and went through the list of people already working in the production house. "There are a few bad apples that need to be thrown away."

Kyrell smiled in understanding. "What is expected of me, Miss Lawrence? What does my job entail?"

Sienna realized that she hadn't briefed him about his work.

"My bad. I forgot. Mr. Winchester, you and I will be working together."

"You lucked out, Miss Lawrence," Kyrell joked, and Sienna looked at him with her eyes narrowed.

"You got a guard, an assistant, an advisor, and a driver all at once. I'm going to charge you more for it."

Sienna laughed helplessly, a first in a long time.

"You have got it wrong, Mr. Winchester."

Kyrell cocked a brow questioningly.

"You aren't just a guard or an assistant or a driver. You are someone I'm willing to trust my life with. You are my protector, and I'm willing to pay whatever you intend to charge."

Sienna's focus returned to the file in her hands. She didn't notice how Kyrell had stiffened in his seat while he looked at her with an incomprehensible gaze.

Her words had evoked feelings Kyrell was foreign to. Ripples had erupted in his calm heart, his mind losing cool for the first time. He was even touched. It was a great deal to trust someone with their life and consider them as their protector.

In short, Sienna was trusting him to keep her safe, away from danger at all times, and Kyrell silently vowed never to allow any harm to touch even a strand of her hair.

"We have reached, Miss Lawrence," Kyrell informed her once they reached the Lawrence Group.

Sienna sighed loudly and closed her eyes for a second.

"Prepare yourself, Mr. Winchester," she muttered as she got out of the car. "We have quite a few battles to fight."

"I am always ready, Miss Lawrence." Kyrell smiled as he closed the car door after her. "You'll just have to command me."
