Chapter 1734: What's So Special About The Twelfth Floor?

The young lady's result was not the same as the young man who stepped up a few minutes ago, but she still got to the Eleventh floor, only stopping on the Second Order. She didn't feel disappointed, this wasn't a bad result to begin with.

The next person other than Suzanne, who hadn't gone for the test, was a young lady too. She walked up and stopped on the First Order of the Tenth floor, almost bordering between the Second Order of the Eleventh floor and the First Order of the Tenth floor. Unfortunately, she was unable to get it to the Eleventh Order which somewhat annoyed her, but she didn't delay.

It was Suzanne's turn after this young lady, and she didn't put on any airs and just walked straight to the ice wall. She took a glance at Klaus' way and noticed that he was staring curiously in her direction.

With everyone's eyes on her, Suzanne placed her palm on the ice wall and circulated her essence energy. Before the eyes of everyone, the ice chamber lit up and the lights on each floor soon started to glow brilliantly all the way to the Tenth floor, and only then did it start to show signs of slowing down. But it still didn't stop as she successfully crossed to the Eleventh floor. The speed of the light's movement dwindled after she got to the Eleventh floor, but it didn't stop entirely.

The First Order of the Eleventh floor, yet the lights didn't stop as it was showing signs of wanting to make a last charge for the Twelfth floor. Presently, it was safe to say that Suzanne had the highest ice ability of anyone who has stepped forward all this while. The young man who got to the First Order of the Eleventh floor was barely able to get there, while Suzanne had gotten to it and was seemingly about to break through to the Twelfth floor.

Everyone in the room held their breaths as they'd all heard of how only two people had been able to get to the Twelfth floor over the past thousand years. In fact, the number during the past thousand years has been better than the previous ones. If the ice chamber has been in function for over ten thousand years, then the number of people who have actually reached the Twelfth floor could be counted on both fingers. Basically, every thousand years, there might be at least one person who gets to the Twelfth floor. But this wasn't a certainty as there are times not even a single person gets to the Twelfth floor in a thousand years period. This shows just how difficult it was to achieve the Twelfth Floor.

The lights glowing from the ice chamber in the ice wall were starting to dim, and just when it was about to completely go out, the ice wall shook slightly, and the Twelfth floor which had been dark all this while suddenly started to gain some light, and only after the Second Order was lit did the increasing light come to a halt.

The Twelfth floor Second Order.

Everyone in the Hall took in a deep breath, even Klaus wasn't exempted. Seeing a feat with very low probability suddenly achieved always makes those who witnessed it feel a certain type of way. There is a mix of emotions in the Hall right now, as there are people excited, jealous, angry, and so on.

Suzanne had a brilliant smile on her face, not just her, the Elders as well as the Faction Leader looked at her with a pleased look. They all had high hopes for her and the other four, so seeing them perform this greatly, and even Suzanne getting to the Twelfth floor had already given them more than what they expected. No one could dare to say that they were confident in getting to the Twelfth floor.

Suzanne walked back to her place and turned her attention to Klaus. Not just her, but everyone turned their attention to Klaus at this moment. He was the only one who hadn't stepped up.

The young man who got to the First Order of the Eleventh floor sneered when he saw that everyone had their eyes on Klaus. Although he was a bit impressed by Klaus' control a few minutes ago, seeing someone who could be regarded as his friend get to the legendary Twelfth floor, he didn't think what Klaus did was anything outstanding any longer.

'I wonder if he's regretting not stepping up before her?' The young man mused playfully. No one would want to try out after seeing Suzanne's result. This was the reason they almost always went up last, so as not to bruise the ego of the other geniuses in the Faction.

Klaus didn't think too much of it, he stood up from his throne, placing it back in his storage ring. He walked towards the ice wall and stared at it with curiosity. Unlike the other people who had done the test, he didn't directly place his palm on the ice wall, rather, he started inspecting the ice wall with a thoughtful expression on his face.

He would occasionally nod his head and sometimes frown as he studied the ice wall.

Seeing him act in this manner, the Elders from the Crescent Moon Faction frowned. They've put up with his arrogant act all this while because they felt being a genius from the Aurora Continent and not from their special world, he had every right to be arrogant. These Elders weren't like the youths who didn't know too much about the dangers of the outside world, so Klaus being able to cultivate to the Fifth stage showed that he was a top talent and if he were born here, he wouldn't lose out to their top geniuses.

They became somewhat infuriated when they heard what Klaus muttered under his breath as he finished inspecting the ice wall.

"What's so special about the Twelfth floor?"

Although Klaus' voice was low, most of the people here were top experts in the Venerable Plane at least, their sense of hearing is a thousand times better than that of an ordinary person, so even if Klaus' voice was low, they all heard him clearly.
