All The Female Disciples Want To Kill Me

Chapter 176: The Strange Red Aura Woman!_1

The moonlight swayed gently.

Ji Nanjue looked at the man before her with extreme seriousness.

Her heart grew more concerned about this strange man she had met beneath Unrepentant Cliff, as if she wanted to see through to his heart.

Doesn't he know that a casual pointer from my Master would be more beneficial than a hundred years of his own arduous cultivation?

This was already the second time.

Key Smoke hesitated for a moment, feeling as if she had misunderstood. She gazed at the man before her with calm eyes, picked up the tea in front of her, took a slow sip, and said softly, "Elder Su, Key Smoke seems to have misunderstood your meaning."

Su Bei blinked with some confusion. "Could it be that the Elder cannot provide guidance to my disciple? I meant to give this opportunity for guidance to my disciple…"

Wouldn't it be purely a waste on myself?

Key Smoke fell into silence this time.

She had seen many young talents and had lived through the Cataclysm of Ten Thousand Clans, yet she had never before encountered someone like Su Bei.

Afterward, she sighed softly, forgetting even to eat her favorite preserved fruit for a moment.

"Elder Su is indeed the most... peculiar person I have ever met."

Yet in her heart, she faintly understood why Ji Nanjue was so interested in this man!

"May I know what Elder Su has deciphered from that Desolate Stone?"

Not knowing whether the Saintess had agreed to his request, Su Bei thought for a moment and then described everything he had felt in the Desolate Stone to Key Smoke.

Key Smoke's dark eyes narrowed slightly, and her red lips parted gently. "Are you saying the name of this Desolate Stone is Desolate Stone?"

Su Bei nodded; the sense of desolation he had felt from it was indeed the Desolate Aura!

Key Smoke was attentive to Su Bei's description. He spoke of what appeared to be the Cataclysm of Ten Thousand Clans from a thousand years ago and the Desolate Aura he had felt from within the stone.

"This is the mysterious scripture I obtained from the Desolate Stone; it seems to be called The Wilderness Scripture!"

After thinking it over, Su Bei still did not hand over the scroll named Devouring Heaven.

On one hand, he wanted to figure out what exactly Devouring Heaven was and its connection to the evil spirits he had encountered before.

On the other hand, Su Bei had a strong feeling. It was as if he had glimpsed a fragment of a vision—perhaps of the future, perhaps a dream—of ruined walls where a mysterious man appeared, seemingly connected to Devouring Heaven!

What exactly is Devouring Heaven?

Key Smoke held The Wilderness Scripture that Su Bei had inscribed with his Divine Sense, her eyes stirring slightly.

From the aura of The Wilderness Scripture, she sensed that desolate energy from a thousand years ago!

Key Smoke fell silent for a while, pondering. Then, she took a hairpin from her hair and handed it to Su Bei, saying, "I didn't expect anyone to decipher the Desolate Stone when I came here today, yet I am not one to go back on my word!"

"Hold onto this hairpin; it contains a strand of my Spiritual Energy."

"In a few days, you may bring your disciple to meet me… By then, the Token will presumably have been made."

Su Bei took the hairpin and nodded.

He then recalled the eerie scene he had witnessed in the wilds. Though he felt like he might be meddling, he believed it was necessary to notify the Saintess, so he said, "I once saw strange cultivators near Mo City. They do not cultivate Spiritual Energy but specialize in cultivating Evil Qi!"

"Moreover, they even possess a mystical technique that can extract and preserve other people's physical constitutions!"

As he spoke, he took out two Tokens from his Storage Ring!

One was made of silver, and the other of stone!

Key Smoke nodded at the two Tokens; she had already heard this news from Ji Nanjue. She replied, "I am informed now. Thank you, Elder Su, for the information!"

"The Sacred Land will dispatch someone to investigate this thoroughly and will ensure the peace of the Twenty-One Provinces!"

Su Bei glanced out the window at the time and, feeling it was getting late, stood up and said to them, "I have some other matters to attend to, so I will take my leave first!"

Although I was somewhat puzzled as to why the Emperor of Dongfeng would have any interaction with the Saintess.

He paused for a moment. Noticing Key Smoke's eyes eagerly glancing at the box of preserved fruit on the desk, he smiled and took out a box of extremely fine preserved fruit from his Storage Ring.

He handed it to Key Smoke. She looked surprised. He blinked and, with a light chuckle, said, "I didn't realize you liked preserved fruit so much, Elder. I came in haste this time and didn't prepare any gifts for you."

"Please consider this box of preserved fruit a small token of my regard. I hope you won't find it lacking, Elder."

He also made a bow to the South Emperor, then turned and left gracefully.

The Saintess looked at the well-sealed box in her hands, adorned with jewels, then lifted her gaze to his departing figure.

Slowly turning her head to look outside, she saw a crescent moon, its horns faintly picked out by the dim light.

"He is indeed a strange man..."

After a while, Key Smoke said to Ji Nanjue with a sigh, though it was unclear whether she was speaking to her or to herself.

Somewhat gentle.

Placing the box of preserved fruit beside the table, her eyes lowered to The Wilderness Scripture in her hands. She sighed softly and said in a low voice, "A thousand years have passed. Could it be heading toward chaos again?"

...

In a corner of the Sacred Land, in a secluded mountain stream not belonging to any of the Five Great Sacred Cities, a group of men in black, wearing masks with archaic rings carved into them, gathered together in silence.

There was a deadly presence in the air. The cool breeze of the mountain stream blew, moonlight casting over their grim pupils.

Before long, a masked man approached from not far away, a strong aura of Evil Qi accompanying him.

Terrifying Evil Qi spread around the man. He looked at the group of men in black, his cold eyes squinting. He raised a hand and said in a chilling voice, "The Supreme has decreed!"

"The 'Slaughter Dragon' mission must not fail!"

In the moonlight, a fierce scar on that arm was visible!

It seemed freshly healed, still showing a ghastly white.

The men in black stood solemnly, listening to the man. Then, a man with a gold plate hanging from his waist stepped forward and said to the leader, "Leader, there is a lot of fresh blood in Wu City!"

The man with the jade token, his eyes shifting slightly, spoke in a low voice, "The mission is what matters! Everything else can wait for now!"

"The woman from the Sacred Land still can't leave. Remember, do not step foot in Wu City!"

The group of men in black exchanged glances and nodded.

Then they vanished in an instant!

The only man left squinted his eyes, muttering to himself, "Tribulation-Crossing Stage, eh? I wonder if the Baleful Blood Sea Big Array could drain him dry!"

...

Su Bei descended from the Saintess's loft, meticulously recalling the new Emperor in his mind.

For some reason, he always felt a sense of unease from the Emperor's gaze... as if it was filled with some special fetish!

At this thought, Su Bei shuddered involuntarily and cast aside the turbulent thoughts in his mind.

Suddenly, he saw a graceful silhouette under the moonlight, hands clasped behind her back, her white hair drifting in the air.

The moonlight was hazy.

The starlight and moon glow were gently veiled by a swath of clouds, and it began to rain.

Spring rain?

Fine as hairs, fluttering down, all happening in utter silence.

The cool and detached woman stood there as if waiting for something. Then she saw the figure in a white robe embroidered with begonias in the rain under the moonlight. She made no movement, but her eyes seemed to curve almost imperceptibly.

Su Bei quickly approached, asking with some confusion, "Ninth Junior Sister, why haven't you left? It's so late already."

The night had deepened. Though Wu City's lights still shone, the streets had far fewer people, only a few here and there.

Dan Wulan raised her head, her features as calm and cool as the moonlight, and softly said, "We made a promise."

"To tour Jiangnan together."

Su Bei was stunned for a moment. Under the moonlight, she was wearing the hairpin he had picked out for her. Only now did he realize that the hairpin didn't quite match her temperament. She would have been more suited to something simpler and more refined.

He then chuckled bitterly. He hadn't expected her to be so stubborn at heart.

Looking up, feeling the raindrops from the sky, this was something he had never experienced in Snow State.

He took her soft hand, feeling its delicate coolness and softness.

She asked nothing, letting Su Bei hold her somewhat cold, soft hand.

Perhaps she already understood in her heart what it meant to be by a man's side, trusting him unconditionally, and depending on him unconditionally...

"I saw the Saintess."

Su Bei paused, then spoke softly again, "And I met the Emperor of the Dongfeng Ancient Country..."

Holding her hand, Su Bei shared with her everything that had just happened in the room. Though he couldn't see her smile, he could feel her mood, that unrestrained joy!

As she moved closer to him, he felt his arm tightly embraced. She had changed into a light, thin silk dress. The clothes Dan Wulan wore were extremely thin, doing nothing to impede the delicate sensation of her skin.

He hadn't expected his junior sister to have such hidden curves!

At this moment, Su Bei suddenly noticed an odd gaze.

Dan Wulan sensed it too and looked in the direction Su Bei was facing.

Not far away, a woman seemed to be standing alone in a corner, her eyes full of complex emotions as she looked at Su Bei.

Dan Wulan gave Su Bei a glance, her look somewhat icy. Su Bei could read what she wanted to say: Have you let down another woman?

Su Bei felt unjustly accused; he had never seen that woman before!

As if to prove his innocence, Su Bei cleared his throat and walked towards the woman with a smile. "Can I help you with anything?"

The woman stepped back, shook her head, and then ran off without looking back.

Su Bei was utterly baffled. He scratched his head and casually checked the woman's fortune.

To his shock, it was red!

The sky continued to drizzle.

Dan Wulan came up beside Su Bei. Su Bei gave a wry smile and was about to explain to Dan Wulan when she gently took out an oiled-paper umbrella from her Storage Ring.

POP!

She opened it up, holding it over both of their heads.

Then Dan Wulan extended her slender hand. She gently wiped the rainwater that had dripped from Su Bei's long hair onto his cheeks, softly saying, "I believe you."

Su Bei felt all words catch in his throat as he quietly looked at the stunning woman before him.

Then he cupped her cheeks with his hands, to her startled gaze.

Their breaths drew closer, the heat between them palpable.

Lips touched.

Su Bei slowly closed his eyes.

...

Key Smoke and Ji Nanjue descended from the loft. Seeing the light rain falling, they opened an oiled-paper umbrella and leisurely walked towards the Sacred Sanctuary.

"It's raining..."

The two were talking when Key Smoke took out a piece of preserved fruit from the box Su Bei had given her.

She popped it into her mouth, savoring it with obvious enjoyment, a look of utter contentment on her face!

Suddenly!

She bumped into a woman who was running towards her in a panic.

Their eyes met.
