Along The Path Of Vengeance(Sasuke/Mha)

Tetsutetsu, due to his increased weight in his steel form and digging his fingers into the ground, managed not to fly away as far as everyone else. Yet he was still far away from the center of the blast and saw nothing but uprooted trees and the rocky ground beneath him. He stood up hastily and looked around in awe, "What kind of power is this?... Endeavor! Shihai!?... Is anyone there?!"

"I am." Tetsutetsu felt a shiver run down his spine and he jolted around to be met with a kick to the face that made him eat the dirt.

He quickly recovered and rolled out of the way of an attempted stomp and got a clear look at Pain. "Your durability is impressive, but it won't save you."

Tetsutetsu's skin became steel again while he wiped blood off his cheek, "You Bastard! What did you do to Komori?!"

"The same thing that is going to inevitably happen to you."

Tetsutetsu froze up momentarily, 'Is Komori really... What I saw is unmistakable... she—' His thoughts were cut off by Pain dashing at him creating steel knuckles.

He snapped out of it and braced himself in a defensive stance, dodging Pain's first strike, 'This guy isn't gonna give me time to think! Gotta figure something out...'

Pain kicked him in the side with a metal cling and hooked him across the face.

Tetsutetsu lost a tooth and thought, 'Is this guy making steel of his own to counter me?!'

Tetsutetsu blocked a strike and tried to punch back, but Pain caught his fist and kneed him in the stomach, forcing him to his knees. 'This guy is kicking my ass... damn it... But I can take a beating all day if I have to!'

Tetsutetsu tackled Pain, but Pain elbowed him down into the dirt. 'Come to think of it, why isn't he using his gravity quirk after that big blast?'

Pain kicked him hard enough to launch him back on his feet and punched him in the face multiple times until his steel started cracking. Tetsutetsu eventually headbutted Pain's fist, breaking through the knuckles. Although, Pain grabbed him by the shirt and slammed him over his shoulder on the ground.

Tetsutetsu lost his breath and his eyes lost focus. Pain produced a black rod and focused on Tetsutetsu's cracked steel. "Goodbye."

Pain prepared to finish Tetsutetsu, and he tried to resist, but he was too dazed. 'What the hell can I even do? Damn it... I can't fight this guy by myself...' While his eyes wandered he spotted a red fiery light in the distance, and his faltering mind sharpened as hope increased his fighting spirit. He grabbed Pain's arm before pulling him in and wrapping around him. "GIVE IT ALL YOU GOT!"

"Flashfire Fist!" Endeavor flew straight into the two and drove his fist into Pain's back, delivering an explosive amount of firepower that enveloped all of them.

Pain went skidding and flipped into recovery. He threw off his burning cloak, revealing half of his body with fresh scorch marks. He glared at Endeavor and very slowly regenerated on one knee. "How annoying, I was just about to finish that one off."

Endeavor peered into his eyes and noticed a small amount of flames going into Pain's palms, and he thought. 'He must have just barely managed to absorb a lot of the fire. Tsh...' He glanced over at Tetsutetsu and helped him stand up, but his shaky knees were hard not to notice, "Take a breather and recover. I got this from here!"

Tetsutetsu allowed himself to drop to his knees and replied, "Endeavor... I think he can't use his gravity powers for some reason!"

Pain commented, "How observant, but it's of no concern. You'll all soon be joining the mushroom girl soon enough."

Endeavor's flames flared up, and he clenched his fist while dashing at Pain, "You won't be killing any other kids today! I'll make sure of it!"

Pain focused on dodging the blast and Endeavor thought, 'Damn it! Curse my weakness... had All Might been here, she could have lived... I can't turn back time though. It's difficult to engage with him due to that absorption... but...'

Pain absorbed another fire blast, but Endeavor grabbed his stretched out hand and gut punched him, sending flames through him. 'That's no excuse!'

Pain coughed up blood and his arm turned into a rocket he set off in Endeavor's face.

Endeavor was blown away, and while Pain regenerated he turned his arm into a mini gun to keep Endeavor at bay.

"Hell's Curtain!" Endeavor shielded himself with flames that melted the bullets and Pain lifted his other arm.

He produced a larger rocket to fire at Endeavor, but as it went off, Shihai grabbed his arm and made him shoot it off into the distance.

Pain's wounds were mostly healed and his minigun arm returned to normal as he grabbed Shihai and chokeslammed him. "You've been an annoying pest." Pain created a high-intensity spotlight on his shoulder to get rid of any shadows and he applied pressure to crush his windpipe. However, Tetsutetsu sent a haymaker to his jaw that disoriented him.

Pain quickly side-kicked him away, but Endeavor tackled him from behind and flew him high into the air. Pain struggled to break free, but Endeavor was too strong and kept flying higher. "No more, you're finished!"

Pain made a pistol and aimed it at Endeavor's head, but Shihai came out of the shadow between them and knocked the pistol out of his hand. "You got this Endeavor! Incinerate him!"

Pain's composure broke for the first time, gritting his teeth at Shihai, "Damned shadow quirk!"

Tetsutetsu watched from below and pumped his fist, "Way to go Shihai!" He thought, 'Shihai really turned into a completely different person after all that training. Shadows are like a whole separate dimension to travel through for him now!'

Endeavor got brighter and flared up rapidly, "Thank you, Shihai. Now get out of the way!" Shihai dove toward the ground and something clicked in Pain, letting him regain his composure.

"Ah... there it is..."

"Prominence... Burn!!!"

"Almighty Push!"

Both attacks met in a catastrophic display that lit up the sky and sent shockwaves to the ground below.

The sheer force of Endeavor's flames managed to clash and hold back the gravitational push for a moment, but ultimately, gravity won and sent Endeavor flying back down to the ground.

Shihai stared up at the scene from the ground and frowned, "He got his power back, damn it!"

Tetsutetsu clenched his fist, "This just got way harder again... What if he hits us with that huge one again?!"

Endeavor shot back up to his feet with his flames slightly weaker, but his will didn't waver.

Pain slowly descended to the ground, "Your flames are strong, Endeavor. But ultimately insufficient."

Shihai asked, "What's the plan now, Endeavor?"

"I'll take the lead and—"

Pain aimed a missile at Tetsutetsu and fired, "I grow tired of this battle. I'll be taking the lead from now on in finishing this."

Tetsutetsu ran out of the way of the missile, but it was heat-seeking and chased after him.

Endeavor flew towards Tetsutetsu to disable the missile, and Shihai tried to defend on the ground, but he felt a force preventing him from going into the shadows.

His eyes widened and he stared at Pain as he was pulled out of the shadow, "You've been the biggest nuisance this whole time. I'll start with you."

Endeavor noticed Pain's motive and gritted his teeth while Pain aimed a black rod at his heart, "Shihai!"

He was about to change directions, but the missile still had to be destroyed, and he couldn't reach Shihai in time. He felt like he might fail again, but before any feelings could be confirmed, a large sound blast erupted not far away and disrupted the missile causing an explosion, while also disorienting Pain, resulting in a stab to the side instead of the heart.

Endeavor didn't waste the opportunity and blitzed toward Pain before he could stab Shihai again. Pain made another back rod, but Endeavor tackled him and slammed his head into the ground. He tried to follow it up with a fire blast but Pain used Almighty Push.

Tetsutetsu and Jiro ran to Shihai's side and put a hand on his back. "You gonna be good man?"

All three of the teens were beaten up to varying degrees with blood and scratches and Shihai replied, "Yeah, just pull this thing out of me, quickly!"

He sweated and Tetsutetsu gripped the bloody rod and ripped it out of him. Jiro asked, "Are you gonna be ok?!"

Shihai grunted by steeling his expression while holding the wound, "Don't worry about me right now! Komori died... and we'll be following after her if we don't put Pain down! Help Endeavor! He can't beat him alone!"

The two were caught off guard, but nodded and let Shihai tend to himself. Tetsutetsu ran in to assist Endeavor, and Jiro analyzed the situation with a gulp. 'She really did die... and it's not looking good for the rest of us! This guy fought All Might one-on-one before, so I knew he was strong, but this... this is insane!! Is there really any way we can...'

Memories of training flashed through her mind and she recalled the method that Class A's avengers suggested to her. She gripped her earphone jacks and her mind blanked out for a minute before analyzing the situation one last time. She tuned out the sounds around her while thinking, 'Komori is dead... Shihai is badly wounded, Tetsutetsu is beaten up, Endeavor is on the ropes, Hawks and Nagant are both nowhere to be seen...'

She released her headphone jacks and experienced a strange mental clarity as she came to only one conclusion, "It can't be helped... ENDEAVOR! STALL FOR ME!"

Endeavor's eyes widened, but quickly went back to normal as he recognized the phase, "Got it!"

Jiro knelt down and planted her jacks into the ground and closed her eyes, "Of course... there's nothing to actually stall for, but he doesn't know that."

Pain side-eyed Jiro and thought, 'What could that girl have planned? No matter what it is, it can't be good,' He glanced at Shihai who had his back turned to Pain, 'That one's still recovering, so I shouldn't be interrupted this time.'

Endeavor purposely whiffed a punch and Pain elbowed him in the stomach before kicking him away. At the same time, he used Universal Pull to lift Jiro off the ground. She feigned shock, but internally prepared herself as she drew closer to Pain, 'Here it is!'

Pain gripped her throat tightly, ready to crush her windpipe, but before he could, a jack jabbed into his arm and Jiro sent a different type of frequency through it, "Resonance!"

The effect was immediate. Pain's entire right arm exploded and sprayed blood and tissue all over Jiro. Pain's expression displayed genuine shock for the first time as he reeled back and grunted, "What kind of ability?!"

'I wanted to get all of him... But that's ok, I'll get him next time!' "Thanks for bringing me close enough! Now you're finished! Guys!" Everyone's morale shot up in an instant and they realized it was do or die time.

Endeavor yelled, "Make the most of the five-second cool down! Don't let up!"

Pain jumped back as far away from Jiro as he could, but Tetsutetsu bashed him in the back toward her. Her earphone jacks lunged at him, but he grabbed both of her jacks, "I'll make sure you never use your quirk again!"

He motioned to yank them off, but Shihai came out of the shadow of his clothes and jabbed one of his eyes out while putting him in a rear-naked choke. "I'm not as injured as I made myself look, you bastard!"

Pain let go of her jacks and jabbed his thumb into one of Shihai's eyes, returning the favor. But before he could worsen the damage, Endeavor grabbed his head and slammed him into the ground while holding down his one good arm.

Pain shouted, "None of you will get the better of me just because my arm is healing! You're all pebbles on the road I will kick aside to achieve my goals! Planetary Devastation!"

The gravity around everyone was destabilized as an unstable black ball of energy flew up into the air and caused the earth around them to break up and be uprooted into multiple pieces. "Almighty Push!"

Tetsutetsu fell off the piece of earth he sat on and landed on all fours on another piece ascending. "What kind of power is this?!"

The students all looked in awe and Endeavor cocked his fist back while still mounted on Pain, "Flashfire fist!"

"Almighty Push!"

Endeavor got pushed away and flew through multiple pieces of earth flying up, but he quickly recovered and analyzed the area. "Regain your bearings, everyone! We can still finish things here!"

Everyone locked back in on their objective and did their best to navigate through the floating rocks. The rocks gravitated towards a sphere growing in size from the volume of earth collecting around it, and Jirou concluded, "If we don't finish this quickly, we're all gonna get buried alive!"

Tetsutetsu quickly maneuvered around the rocks toward Pain and chucked one at him, "Heads up asshole!"

Pain easily swatted away the rock, but under the shadow of it, Shihai grabbed his arm and pulled him off the boulder he stood on. Both the teens smiled, "Nice!"

Pain fell off the destroyed rock with a glare, "Damned—

—Tetsutetsu tackled him in mid-air in Jiro's direction and Pain redirected his focus. He kneed him in the stomach and tried to throw him off, but he clung onto his stomach and spit out blood, "Can't beat my ass with just one arm, now can you?! You've lost!"

"Don't speak of victory so soon just after getting one good move off! Almighty Push!"

Tetsutetsu tried to cling on, but the force of gravity was too strong and he skidded on the uprooted earth next to Jiro.

Pain, whose arm was only half regenerated, went on the offensive and waved his hand toward Endeavor and then Jiro and Tetsutetsu. Many of the rocks floating up suddenly changed directions and bashed into them before surrounding them on all sides.

Endeavor gritted his teeth, 'Is he trying to bury me in these?!'

Jiro yelped and stabbed the pieces of rocks to destroy them with a sound blast, however, the smaller blown pieces continued to pile onto her as the dust filled her lungs.

She coughed and teared up while Tetsutetsu yelled, "Hold on, I've got you!"

He dashed toward her and tried to tear off rocks, but Pain kept his hand pointed toward them as rocks began collecting around Tetsutetsu as well, quickly suffocating him. He stared at Shihai who had gritted teeth, 'I should be able to easily kill at least two of the kids like this. It's pointless to try and kill Shihai this way, but he can't do anything either.'

"PROMINENCE BURN!"

Pain could feel the heat rising behind him and turned with a scowl toward Endeavor. The sheer heat of Endeavor's flames incinerated all of the rocks around him and he flew straight for Pain at top speed. Endeavor quickly analyzed the situation and thought, 'All Might could have finished this by himself... but I have limits, I'm not that kind of number 1 hero! I have to do everything I can to ensure we stay in the fight, and for Jiro to get the kill shot!'

"Almighty Push!"

Endeavor anticipated the attack this time and flew up to avoid being pushed far away. He smiled down at Pain before shouting, "Hell Spider!"

Pain tried to absorb the attack, but it was too widespread and he opted for flipping around the whips, but some lashed his legs and wrapped around rocks to throw at him. One stabbed through Pain's abdomen from behind and he grunted while falling.

"Resonance!"

Jiro disintegrated the rocks that surrounded her with a widespread blast and fell to her knees, gasping for air, but her eyes quickly shot back up toward the fight and the large meteor in the sky that she was getting alarmingly close to, 'There's no time to recover! Gotta move now!'

Her and Endeavor's eyes briefly met before Endeavor yelled, "Jet Burn!"

A large beam of fire engulfed Pain and he tried his best to absorb the flames, but Endeavor flew through his own flames and grabbed Pain by his wrist and throat before shooting straight toward Jiro. "NOOOW!"

Pain's previously eviscerated arm finally fully recovered; he made a pistol and aimed at Endeavor, but before he could pull the trigger, Shihai put his free arm in an arm bar out of nowhere. Everyone's efforts put him in range of Jiro's earphone jacks and they cut through the air as fast as they could to stab Pain, "ALMIGHTY P—"

—Pain's resistance was cut short as he exploded from the inside and painted the three of them like a canvas with his innards. A split second before the cooldown ended was all Jiro needed to secure the kill.

The sudden explosion put them all besides Endeavor in a state of shock, and Jiro felt something building up in her throat, but her feelings were soon overridden by the feeling of the Planetary Devastation falling apart, allowing the unnatural ascent of rubble to turn into a quick and deadly descent.

"The technique's collapsing!" Endeavor shouted, his flames roaring to life as chunks of earth began raining down around them. "Everyone get to me, NOW!"

Jiro, still splattered with Pain's remains, stumbled backward in shock, but Tetsutetsu who clawed through the rubble grabbed her arm and pulled her toward Endeavor. A boulder the size of a car crashed where she'd been standing a moment ago and Endeavor wrapped his arms around all of them and intensified his flames. "Hold on tight! This is going to be rough!"

He launched them through the falling pieces of earth with enough force to destroy the rock they stood on, and made his way through the rocks that could end their lives in an instant.

Shihai weakly stated, "Let me ease the load on you some." He dissolved into a shadow on Endeavor's body and Tetsutetsu shouted.

"You got this, Endeavor!"

Jiro snapped at him, "Get out of your steel form, idiot! You're probably too heavy!"

"Oh, my bad..." Tetsutetsu went back to normal and the relieved weight load allowed Endeavor to weave through the rocks easier and faster while he pushed himself to the limit.

He managed to clear the danger zone and landed safely with them all on the ground while getting a good view of all the pieces of rock falling to the earth. Normally there would have been dust clouds, but Pain's earlier Almighty Pushed sweeped the ground clean.

Endeavor released the teens and his flames settled down while he and the rest of them caught their breaths. All that could be heard were the sounds of heavy breathing and rocks colliding with the earth far away. Endeavor tapped his ear and sighed excessively, "HQ, I'd like you to send a medical unit to my location. And do you know the whereabouts of Hawks and Nagant?"

On the other end a woman answered, "Hello, Endeavor. Hawks is currently enroute to your location with Tokoyami. And as for Nagant she is having a medical unit sent out to take care of her. She called and reported she was in poor condition, but she'll live. Also I'm not sure if you heard, but the fights are going great! More than half the major villains have been dealt with. Since you're calling, does that mean Pain's been taken care of too?"

"Mm…" Endeavor considers mentioning what happened to Komori, but decides against souring HQ's mood. He spoke in a simple tone. "Pain has been dealt with." Endeavor heard an eruption of cheers on the other end, but he turned off the comms and settled down.

Jiro wiped blood off of her face, wincing at the smell, and asked, "Is it really over?"

Endeavor answered, "It's over, Jiro. You did great, you all did."

Tetsutetsu lay spread-eagled on the ground, "He was like a force of nature... hard to believe we really won."

Shihai hunched over and felt where one of his eyes was gouged out, "I nearly died at least a dozen times back there..."

Jiro's mind wandered to the act of killing she committed earlier while her hands shook, but she did her best to suppress it; she squeezed her fist for a moment, then walked over to Shihai, sitting next to him, "We're alive at least. Let me look at some of those wounds."

Tetsutetsu smiled, "Man, Shihai, you were really the MVP out there. I just felt like a punching bag."

Shihai replied, "Thanks, although you still came out better than me in the end," he winced while Jiro worked on his stab would and he felt where his eye was missing, "If I trained harder, I could have worked more on emerging out of smaller shadows, or just coordinating my arms through one instead of my whole body…"

Endeavor commented, "There's a limit to how much we can learn in a certain amount of time. Frankly, all of you kids are completely different people compared to when we raided the PLFs bases."

Before their conversation could continue further, the sound of approaching flight drew their attention skyward. Up above they saw Hawks and Tokoyami descend toward them.

"Endeavor!" Hawks called while landing, "We saw the Planetary Devastation from kilometers away! What's the situation? Is that blood you guys are covered in?" Hawks covered his nose.

"Pain is dead," Endeavor announced simply.

Hawks blinked, "You got him, Endeavor?"

Endeavor replied, "I gotta give most of the credit to the kids for their teamwork and plan."

Jiro commented while wrapping a bandage around Shihai's head, "You did just as much too, Endeavor. We wouldn't have had any time to breathe if you didn't keep him at bay most of the time.

Endeavor smiled and let out a soft chuckle before his expression hardened, "It isn't all good though… Komori died, and Nagant is in poor condition far away."

Tokoyami's mouth dropped at the revelation and Hawks frowned, 'Damn it… Minato would have been the perfect piece in the plan to prevent anyone from dying! He could have teleported all of us right out of the Almighty Push…' "I see… that's awful… we'll have to get a medic unit to help Nagant as soon as we can too."

"There's already one on the way. Although, I see that you're with Tokoyami. That means you've taken out Kabuto, right?"

Hawks nodded, "We took out Kabuto then tried to come as fast as we could, but you guys clearly had it covered, which is great! Pain was a top-three threat in this war, so it should go smoother from here once everyone makes their way to the remaining battles."

Hawks observed everyone, 'I'm not sure what's up with Minato right now... but we might win this war even without him. I didn't expect the students to get this good in such a short amount of time. Looks like giving more freedom to the kids was a good idea after all.' "Anyone still in fighting shape?"

Tetsutetsu raised a fist, "I can still fight!" He groaned and felt a sharp pain in his abdomen, "Just... gonna need some time to recover."

Shihai shook his head, "Sorry, but I think my fighting is done. I'd like to get to a medical team as soon as I can."

Jiro said, "I can still fight."

Endeavor added, "I'll be able to fight soon, I just need to cool down. I got too close to overheating."

Hawks nodded, and Tokoyami pointed at something. "Do you guys see that?"

Everyone's eyes turned to a giant storm just over the horizon, and a giant flash of light appeared in it for a moment before disappearing. Tokoyami asked, "Is that not where Sasuke is fighting AFO?"

Hawks answered, "It should be... I don't think it was supposed to rain today."

Tetsutetsu's eyes widened, "Those guys have really been fighting since the portals first opened?"

Jiro said, "They must have been. He really wasn't just all talk when he talked about facing him..."

Hawks spread his wings and announced, "Sasuke won't be happy about this, but I know where we're going next."

Tokoyami added, "Agreed. I'm confident in Sasuke's skill, but I don't wanna risk something happening to him."

Jiro stood up, "Yeah, after everything that's happened... I don't wanna take chances anymore."

Hawks glanced at Endeavor, "You got these two, right?"

Endeavor nodded, "I'll handle it. I regret us ever succumbing to Sasuke's demands in the first place, so go make sure he's ok."

Hawks did a mock salute and put a couple of feathers in Jiro's jacket. "Don't worry. We'll have his back."

Tokoyami, Hawks, and Jiro flew in the direction of the storm to help fight AFO, and at the same time across the world where it was nighttime, Minato stood face to face with Obito, ready to fight at any moment.
