Chapter 272: Sent Back Home

Allen Zhang hurried to the villa district in Las Vegas where Colson was. Experts had already been summoned for an appraisal, but the results were evidently not very promising.

After careful research, the expert gave their conclusion, "This Geno lioness antique does not quite match the item that was consigned at the auction."

"What do you mean?" Colson had a bad feeling.

"I can't guarantee that this antique, valued at 60 million US Dollars, is authentic."

"But there are documents, aren't there?" Colson was shocked and quickly showed the authoritative documents to the expert.

"Clearly, these documents are also forged. I've never heard of the cbg international appraisal company. Mr. Colson, you'd better prepare yourself for the possibility that you've been scammed," the appraiser advised.

His words made Colson's vision go dark, and he nearly collapsed to the ground.

Someone from the property qualification department also came over, understood the situation, scrutinized the document and contract, and declared, "I'm sorry, Mr. Colson. The luxurious villa you're in currently has an owner who has no intention of selling it. It was only rented to a few Black individuals a while ago. These are the terms of the leasing agreement that both parties signed."

"How is that possible?!" Colson felt like he'd been struck by lightning. Looking at the black and white documents, he froze in shock, trembling.

He hurriedly took out the documents he had signed, as if clutching at a lifeline, pleading, "These are the property proofs given to me by those individuals, along with the mortgage contract and the transfer procedures! There are stamps from Las Vegas authorities on it!"

The authorities' representative looked at it and immediately judged, "Fake, we would never create such a contract, nor have we issued related mortgage documents."

"..."

Colson felt numb, collapsed on the ground, drenched in cold sweat. Suddenly, he had an ominous feeling, suspecting the dreadful truth of the matter.

Seeing that the situation was getting serious, the appraisal expert and the authorities' representative found excuses to leave.

They reminded him, "Perhaps you can provide the local police with the identities of those individuals for them to pursue and investigate. However, it's best not to have too much hope, as those Black people seem to be part of an international gang of criminals, possibly requiring CIA involvement for investigation."

Several security guards from the community, who initially envied the move into a villa worth 20 million, and later witnessed the scam, saw the victim deceived and swindled out of millions, came over and warned, "Sir, unrelated persons are not allowed to linger here for long. Please leave the villa district as soon as possible, or we will have to expel you."

Colson: "..."

This statement was just adding insult to injury for his not-so-wealthy family.

Turning his head and seeing Allen Zhang approach, Colson almost collapsed, his mindset exploded, and he sobbed, "It's bad, Mr. Jin! I've been set up and scammed! Finished!!"

"Really?" Allen Zhang was surprised, "What happened to your mansion?"

"What mansion! It's fake! It's a gang of fraudsters. That damned manager was in on it too, all to trap my funds. Now I might even owe the casino a debt of 25 million US Dollars," Colson said, wanting to cry but having no tears.

He knew the scam all too well. He had partnered with the casino to buy antiques. If he claimed the antiques were fake, they would surely not admit it, but instead accuse him of switching them out and demand he pay up the investment funds.

Colson regretted it so much it hurt.

Allen Zhang also felt some pity, "Misfortune may strike anyone who frequents dangerous places. What are you going to do now?"

"I can only pray they don't come to collect the debts right away and push me too hard; otherwise, I'll have no choice but to go down fighting!" Colson said, looking grim. He bit his teeth and decided to leave Las Vegas to lie low for a while.

"Your attitude is still quite good. I thought you'd go straight to them for a showdown," Allen Zhang looked at the tearful Colson, realizing he had been tricked but had not lost his sanity.

Colson sighed helplessly. Isn't that what he wanted? But he didn't dare!

If he had guns, power, and connections, and had suffered such a big loss, he would definitely confront them right away to claim back his money.

But in reality, he had no capital to compete with the casino.

Having a direct confrontation was out of the question; the casino dealt with various emergencies every day and had plenty of connections and influence. If he tried to fight, he would end up at the bottom of the sea the next day.

"In light of your provision of 5 million dollars, take these 500,000 and spend them; don't say I'm heartless," Allen Zhang took out One Hundred Thousand Dollars and handed it to him.

Colson sighed and accepted the One Hundred Thousand Dollars, "That's all I can do for now, thank you for your help, Mr. Jin. I will surely repay your kindness."

He began to think about what to do in the future. Luckily, he wasn't married and had no family to worry about. He just wouldn't be able to often enjoy the company of beautiful girls in doubles or even triples.

"I know an Indian in Texas whose family owns a casino. If you have nowhere to go, you could lay low at his place. He also frequents the gaming spots in Laredo. If you're determined to make a comeback, he might be able to offer some help," Allen Zhang said.

"Really? I've been worried about where to go next. If you could help me, I will surely work hard to repay your kindness!" Colson lit up with hope.
