Chapter 39: Frigga Accepts Disciples!

With Amora finally subdued, Aaron wasted no time in setting his plans into motion.

Without hesitation, he issued his first command: "I have a task for you. Collect all the information you can about the Fountain of Wisdom. Try to find its exact location if possible. It's important to me. Understand?"

Amora nodded obediently. "Understood. I will go to the library and gather everything immediately."

"Good," Aaron replied. "During this process, I don't want anyone to know about our connection, nor do I want anyone to learn you're searching for the Fountain of Wisdom."

Aaron wasn't ready for anyone to learn of his plan—not yet. He knew that he lacked the strength to fully protect it, so he kept his cards close to his chest. Even with Amora, he wasn't prepared to reveal all the details of his strategy.

For the time being, their relationship would remain as it had been, until Aaron could resolve his energy reserves.

Amora didn't dare ask more questions. She simply nodded repeatedly to show her understanding.

In her mind, she had already guessed what Aaron was planning, and she couldn't help but mentally berate herself.

Why had she ever brought up the Fountain of Wisdom?

It had only been one of many rumors circulating through Asgard—nothing that had ever been confirmed. The Fountain was said to be in Jotunheim, the land of the Frost Giants, a far cry from peaceful and stable Asgard.

Now, all she could do was scour the library for whatever information she could find. But with so many books to go through, locating the Fountain felt like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Amora couldn't help but remember how she had initially tried to trap Aaron with this rumor. She had thought it would be harmless gossip. But now? She realized she'd made a grave mistake.

And now she was stuck with Aaron.

She sighed, shaking her head. Just as she did, she saw another vision of Aaron appear before her.

After exchanging a few quiet words, the vision disappeared.

Aaron frowned as he recognized the illusion. He had used a phantom duplicate to relay the message, but he had been too preoccupied with Amora to pay it much attention. The duplicate had just informed him that Thor was seeking him out.

Aaron was unsure why Thor would come looking for him now, but the fact that Thor seemed happy meant it was likely something good. After all, Thor wouldn't be so upbeat if it wasn't worth celebrating.

With that thought, Aaron gave Amora a few casual instructions before withdrawing from the illusion and leaving.

Back at home, Aaron was greeted by Thor and his companions.

Thor and his friends were still basking in the glow of their recent victory, their joy palpable. It had been one of their happiest times in recent memory.

In the last couple of days, they had earned a remarkable triumph, one that was still the talk of Asgard.

Everyone was eager to celebrate them, and invitations to the upcoming reception had become highly sought after. There was even a bit of alcohol in the air, a sign of their exuberance.

"Aaron, you've finally arrived!" Thor exclaimed upon seeing him, a grin plastered across his face. "Where have you been all this time? I've been looking for you! We've been talking about having a drink together. You wouldn't believe it—your name is everywhere in Asgard now! The legend of the magician who defeated the entire Warlord army after just one week of learning magic!"

"Can you believe it?" Thor continued, chuckling. "People are going crazy over you! Everyone wants to meet you, and I swear some of the women are practically throwing themselves at you. They can't wait to see you at the reception."

Fandral, ever eager to jump in, took the opportunity to add, "Aaron, you've truly become famous! Now everyone knows you defeated me in swordsmanship, took the title as the new master of the sword, and brought victory to Asgard. You've practically stolen all the attention!"

Fandral sighed exaggeratedly. "And now all the girls are flocking to you! I can't even get a moment's peace. It's all about you now, my friend."

"You're taking all the credit for my accomplishments!" Aaron shot back with a grin.

"Don't act like you're not responsible for your good looks!" Fandral teased, narrowing his eyes.

Thor laughed and joined in, "Come on, Aaron, admit it. You're not the best-looking of us. At least I've still got that edge."

Fandral gave him a playful, mocking look. "Not this time, Thor. It's clear who the better-looking one is."

Laughter echoed between them. They had been through so much together, and despite their differences in status, their camaraderie was unaffected.

After the playful banter died down, Aaron got to the point. "Okay, okay, enough about the girls and the fame. What's this surprise you've been talking about? Could it be that the reception didn't have enough fine wine? Or the girls weren't enthusiastic enough?"

Aaron's tone was light, but his curiosity was piqued. He already knew he was a legend in Asgard, a war hero in the eyes of the people, with a reputation that had soared to new heights. Even now, he was nearly as famous as Thor.

Thor, finally remembering the business at hand, looked at Aaron seriously. "No, no. This is important. Aaron, congratulations. The Queen of Asgard, Frigga, has expressed her willingness to take you on as her disciple!"
