Chapter 735: Old Zhang, the boss's toilet is clogged again

"Misunderstanding? I don't think this is a misunderstanding," Fang Jueyu said, "you all were just trying to find someone to kill me!"

"What? Boss, they actually tried to kill you?" The face of the demigod elder showed a trace of ferocity, and the once calm aura roared like a stormy sea.

"How dare you!" The demigod elder shouted angrily, a deep wave of space law flowing from the dark iron rod in his hand, and a dense space lightning storm struck from where he stood.

"My boss is the old man's only son, his talents are extraordinary, and he's destined to become a Transcender or even a Demigod. Just because he's inexperienced and naive, the old man sent him to the Cosmic Civilization for training. How dare you act against my boss, is your civilization tired of existing?"

"Naive? Damn it, naive!" Before the great prince could swear out loud, Lancelot and Panuo behind Fang Jueyu couldn't help but curse. If someone like Fang Jueyu was called naive, then there were no cunning people left in the world.

Could a naive person strip someone naked and hang them on the city gate?

Could a naive person lead a group to extort millions of students taking exams from the Root Universe?

Could a naive person break into someone's imperial tomb, take whatever they wanted, and even dance on their grave?

Neither of them could agree with that statement!

"Esteemed elder, please don't be angry, we apologize to Mr. Eight Ways for our reckless behavior," the great prince quickly said, "We received an alert from the imperial tomb, so we brought people there. We didn't know the prestigious Divine Rich Civilization was visiting, so we acted rashly. Please forgive us."

The great prince bowed, clasped his hands, and nodded repeatedly, nearly kneeling, begging for forgiveness. They dared not show any temper before a demigod.

"Now, do you believe me when I say my dog's destructive obsession kicked in?"

"Believe! We absolutely believe!" The great prince hurriedly replied, although inwardly wishing to tear Fang Jueyu limb from limb. But how could he say he didn't believe?

"Esteemed Mr. Six Ways was just concerned for the billions of lives in the Zinake Civilization. If he hadn't appeased the beast, our civilization could have faced calamity."

If speaking insincerely attracted divine punishment, the great prince would have already disappeared. He couldn't believe such lowly and shameless words came out of his mouth.

"Hmm," Fang Jueyu nodded in satisfaction, "Since you understand my thoughtful actions, I won't hold this against you."

"Yes, yes, your generosity is tremendous, and we were impolite just now."

"I helped you out so much, asking for a little reward and taking a few things isn't excessive, right?"

"Not excessive, not at all excessive, it's deserved." The great prince's smile was uglier than crying.

Their imperial tomb was breached, and many important treasures were stolen. Now they had to put on a smiling face to thank someone. He had never felt so humiliated in his life.

"Alright, I won't hold this against you." Fang Jueyu's original intent wasn't to covet their tomb's treasures. Though numerous and valuable, they didn't exactly attract him.

"Is Bernard trapped by you? Release him."

"So, they're really here for that bastard." A hint of malice flashed in the great prince's eyes. All that effort was just a façade for tomb robbing; the true aim was a rescue mission.

"How does that bastard know people like this?" They knew Bernard sent a distress signal earlier, but didn't take it seriously. Just a bastard, who could he possibly know of importance? Even if someone found out, so what?

But now that Fang Jueyu arrived with a demigod to demand him, how could they refuse?

This time, Bernard's grudge against the Zinake Civilization was irrevocably formed. Once he returned to the Cosmic Federation School, he could become a ticking time bomb at any moment.

Unless he became a demigod, Bernard could never oppose the Zinake Civilization. Yet, he seemed to know people like this. If they turned hostile now, the entire civilization could face obliteration.

"What are you waiting for? Didn't you hear me?" Fang Jueyu gave the demigod elder a meaningful look.

The demigod elder wielded his black rod, striking the ground. Instantly, the entire earth quaked violently, a web-like crack spreading out from him. A little more force might shatter it completely.

"A single demigod apparently isn't enough to scare them," Fang Jueyu thought, steeling himself and quietly crushed ten level-six Cosmic Crystals.

"Old Zhang, the boss's toilet is clogged again, are you done yet?" Another aged voice resonated through the sky and earth.

"Who! Who!" The group of Transcenders couldn't feel the source of the voice, let alone locate the speaker.

A vortex appeared in the void again, and out stepped a middle-aged man in a white apron, holding two strangely-shaped items that didn't look like any weapon.

"What a pity, there's no Divine Weapon that resembles a plumber's snake." Fang Jueyu thought regretfully, wishing to continue the prank.

"Demigod! Another demigod!"

"This demigod is just a janitor in the Divine Rich Civilization?"

"What kind of place is this, where a demigod is relegated to such lowly work?"

Lancelot and friends were thrown into chaos, now completely believing the words Fang Jueyu had said.

"Boss!" The demigod bowed respectfully to Fang Jueyu, then turned his attention to the martial artists of the Zinake Civilization, "What are you doing, taking so long to deal with a group of Transcenders?"

"Alright, alright, I'm done wasting time here," the demigod known as Old Zhang raised the rod in his hand, "Boss, I'll kill these people with one stroke so you can find the person yourself, or the old man will dock my pay again."

"Fine, fine, go ahead," Fang Jueyu impatiently waved his hand.

"Wait, we'll release him, we'll release Bernard right away!" The great prince could no longer care about future consequences.

If Bernard wasn't released, the Zinake Civilization would face total annihilation right now. There'd be no future to worry about. Even if Bernard sought revenge later, it would be a long time coming. And with so much time ahead, they might have a chance to grow stronger.

"Bernard is trapped in the desolate tomb, bound by a prohibition left by a demigod. We haven't harmed him, please have mercy, esteemed elders." The great prince spoke with trembling fear.

He couldn't help but break into a cold sweat from his earlier hesitation. If the demigod was displeased, they wouldn't negotiate, one strike would erase the Zinake Civilization's homeworld.

"Wise choice," Fang Jueyu called out, "Old Zhang, Old Ding, I've told you many times, our Divine Rich Civilization always uses virtue to earn respect, money to earn obedience. Avoid always resorting to violence, understood?"

"Understood, boss." The two demigods stood respectfully behind Fang Jueyu, like loyal guards.

"Alright, they probably don't dare act against me now. One of you keep sweeping, and the other go unclog the toilet. I'll call if needed."

"Yes, boss!" The two demigods cast a threatening glance at the martial artists of the Zinake Civilization, then vanished into thin air...
