Ancient Magic From The Stars

All we had to do now was gather materials, plants, seeds, animals and potion ingredients that we might need, as well as recruit people and certain creatures to our self imposed mission of returning to our ancestral roots. Dad went on a spending spree and bought almost anything you could imagine even some of the more obscure illegal items. Gran contacted Newt Scamander and his wife Porpentina Scamander nee Goldstein after settling the Flamel's to ask if they wanted to join us. I think she just wanted Mr. Scamander to help wrangle all the animals that Dad and Uncle Moony felt that we just had to have. It was surprisingly easy to convince Mr. Scamander and his family to join us he even offered up his suitcase to help with transporting all of the animals Dad was excited by this and even got a few Dragons much to Mr. Scamander's delight. 

Uncle Newt and Aunt Tina as they now liked to be called looked like they were in their early to mid 20's after they used the now tested elixir. Uncle Newt was literally jumping for joy because he was getting to old to go chasing after magical creatures according to Aunt Tina. With the de-aging elixir plus the cellular regeneration they should be at their physical peak for at least the next 600 years according to Uncle Moony and Gran Perenelle. Uncle Moony and Gran Perenelle also made an elixir for everyone who hadn't yet reached 60 which allowed them to prolong their life by boosting their own cellular regeneration. This made it so they would all live for another 600 years at least before they had to take another dose to keep them fit and healthy, or they could not take it and continue to age at a normal rate and then eventually die if they chose to. Neville and I couldn't take it yet due to us being to young. Uncle Moony and Gran want us to be about 25 before we take it to make sure we have both reached our magical majority. Gran Perenelle and Uncle Moony have found out through the records in the repository that our bodies have evolved due to the exposure to potentia so we need for our cores to settle before we can take life prolonging elixirs. 

Dad and the rest of the adults sat down with Nev and myself to figure out who all we wanted to take along on our adventure. The list was surprisingly long and also kind of on the short side as well. As far as the adults were concerned the list of those going with us so far is:

Dad, me and Uncle Remus

Gran Augusta, Uncle Frank, Aunt Alice and Neville

Uncle Newt, Aunt Tina their 4 sons and their wives plus their children 

Grandpa Nicolas and Gran Perenelle 

After writing down everyone that was going for sure we sat down to discuss who else might benefit from joining us. Neville and I made some suggestions based on the impression we had from the kids we met at Hogwarts. Nev suggested, Hanna Abbott, Susan Bones, Cedric Diggory and surprisingly Blaise Zabini. He also mentioned Theodore Nott but was told no due to his father being a pure-blood bigot. I wasn't to shocked that he hadn't named anyone from Gryffindor they weren't exactly the nicest bunch to him. I suggested the Weasley twins but left off Ron for now as I feel he is a little to attention seeking. Then their is Hermione but she would have to be told right before we leave to avoid her telling Dumbles she has a thing for authority figures and following the rules. 

Aunt Alice suggested her god daughter Luna Lovegood and her father after being told that her mother passed which left Xenophilius Lovegood a shell of a man. Dad recommended Amelia Bones and that we talk to King Ragnok of the goblin nation for a group of goblins that might like to join us on our endeavor. Uncle Remus had the names of some werewolves that were good people or the parents of infected children that needed and out from the wizarding world. Grandpa Nicolas recommended the French couple Monsieur and Apolline Delacour as well as their two daughters. I guess even in France they are prejudice against creature blood. 

Uncle Newt suggested we bring in the new and promising dragon tamer Charlie Weasley which led to Dad and Uncle Remus wanting to bring the whole Weasley clan. No one objected, I was a little apprehensive of Ron though but with his older brothers and parents around he should be better right? Dad also suggested his cousin Andromeda Tonks nee Black, her husband Ted and their daughter Nymphadora. He also mentioned Narcissa and Draco but put them on the back burner for now due to Lucious Malfoy. Although he seems more like an opportunist than a blood purist from what information I have gathered about him, Draco is a ponce though that's for sure. Maybe with the new lineage information we could sway them from the moldy wannabes side. 

It was a tiering week with letting those in on our secret Grandpa Nicolas taught us a variation on the fidelius charm he made Dad the secret keeper, which allowed us to compartmentalize the information about our true ancestry keeping it from Dumbledore this made it possible for Nev and I to go back to Hogwarts next year while everyone else prepared for our departure. The goal was to be gone from here by this time next year. This also allowed Nev and I to observe more people to see if there is anyone else we want to add to the list of travelers. 

Neville and I also made a trip to Diagon Alley to get him a new wand with his parents. Aunt Alice almost cried when she watched Nev get his new wand after his Dad took back his own wand from Neville. I would say we had a good summer break so far and I spent a lot of time bonding with my new family as well as learning all the information about the wizarding world that I should have learned before going to Hogwarts. One major thing being denying the gesture of meeting from Draco, yes he is a ponce but he was greatly offended by me not accepting his handshake. I don't have to be his friend but I do need to apologize to him for that plus according to Gran Augusta and Dad he is technically family so there is that as well.
