Chapter 97: Chapter 221 - Real King

Jay-Jay's POV

"Here's a first aid kit," Eman said, handing a red pouch to Ella.

"T-thank you," Ella replied as she accepted it.

She opened the pouch, took out some cotton and alcohol, and started tending to Aries' wounds.

I don't know who saw them, but I want to call Aunt or Brother. However, I'm afraid of what they might say. I know this is my fault.

"Jay..." Ci-N called my name while sitting next to me. "...why are they here?"

I looked at him. "They said the clinic wouldn't accept them, so I brought them here."

"Keifer might get upset," he whispered to me.

"That Kumag isn't here."

I hugged my knees and pounded my fist against them. I don't know what to do. I'm ashamed of my brother because of what happened. Little by little, they're losing everything because of me.

"Jay-jay..." Mica called, making me look at her.

She sat beside me and offered me the bottled water she was holding. I shook my head and hit my knees again. Aries was still unconscious.

No horoscope for today!

"I think we need to take him to the hospital," Kit said, looking at Aries and Ella.

I turned to Ella, who was also looking at me. It was as if she was waiting for my approval. I wanted to agree because Aries needed it, but a part of me was afraid. Kuya would be furious with me.

"I-I think..." I couldn't finish what I was about to say because Aries' hand suddenly moved.

I almost crawled toward him as he whispered something we couldn't understand. Ella held his hand, and we both bent down at the same time to hear him better.

"J-Jay-jay... D-don't..." He took a deep breath. "...b-bring Mykel... c-closer."

Ella and I exchanged glances. He didn't want Mykel near him. I didn't know why, but I had no intention of disobeying him. What Ci-N did to him earlier wasn't enough—I needed to get revenge.

Suddenly, Aries' breathing became heavier. Ella looked panicked, unsure of what to do. My heart pounded as I watched his chest rise and fall rapidly.

Shit! Aries has... a disease? A brain disease? A lung disease?!

"We need to take him to the hospital!" Ella cried.

"My car! Now!" Yuri shouted. Felix and Eren immediately lifted Aries.

We hurriedly followed them. Luckily, since classes were already in session, the roads weren't too crowded. As soon as we reached the parking lot, they placed Aries in the back seat with Ella.

I sat in the passenger seat next to Yuri, who was driving. He started the engine immediately. Ella kept crying while desperately trying to talk to Aries.

I felt like crying, too. Seeing my brother like this—his breathing labored, his face covered in blood, cuts, and bruises—broke my heart. Yes, we were angry, but I couldn't deny that I was still worried about him.

"Aries! We're almost at the hospital!" Ella sobbed.

"Hold on, dude! We're almost there!" Yuri said, gripping the steering wheel tightly.

I turned to look at him. This was the first time I'd ever seen him this worried about Aries.

When we arrived at the hospital, Yuri carried Aries into the emergency room. A team of doctors and nurses immediately rushed to assist him.

"Please step aside—we'll take care of the patient now," one of the nurses said, closing the curtain in front of us.

We had no choice but to move to the waiting area. Yuri left for a moment to park the car in the hospital lot. As we waited, I glanced toward the entrance and saw Percy.

I stood up and raised my hand slightly to get his attention. I wasn't disappointed—he immediately walked over, looking concerned.

"How's Aries?" he asked me.

"He's inside. They're taking care of him," I murmured.

He glanced briefly at Ella before turning back to me.

"Have you called Angelo yet?"

I quickly shook my head. I was too afraid of what he might say. What if he blamed me for what happened? I wasn't ready to face his anger.

"…What are you doing? Your family needs to know," Percy said worriedly.

"I—I'm afraid to face them," I whispered to him.

I didn't want to hear it from Ella. I knew she was aware of what happened to my engagement with Yuri. I might end up blaming her too, and I didn't want to start any trouble here at the hospital.

He took a deep breath and held onto the sensei. I glanced at his neck—there were scars and marks, probably from the fight earlier.

"Go back to your school. I'll call Angelo," he said, taking out his cellphone from his pocket.

"W-wait… I—I want to know where Aries is." My voice trembled, and I felt like I was about to cry.

"I'll call you. Just go back to school."

I bit my lower lip. I wanted to stay. I wanted to make sure Aries would be okay too.

Percy dialed a number on his cellphone. I slowly backed away. I couldn't face Kuya—I was afraid. That would be the Hulk.

I looked at Ella, who was bent over, still crying. My vision blurred, and my breathing grew unsteady.

I turned my back on them without saying a word. Each step I took was bigger than the last, desperate to get away. I no longer apologized when I bumped into people. I couldn't even look at who I ran into. Until I crashed into someone.

But instead of moving away or getting angry, he wrapped his arms around me. Shocked, I looked up at him.

It was Yuri.

"What happened? Why are you crying?" he asked worriedly.

Instead of answering, I just sobbed. My arms wrapped around him voluntarily.

"It's all my fault," I said between sobs.

I didn't care that we were still in the hospital. I didn't care that people were staring at us. They would be the weird ones if they thought this was a tele-drama.

Is it so wrong to cry in public?!

"Shhh… Don't think like that," he said, letting me hug his neck.

I closed my eyes. Why is this person so kind to me?! Does he want to be a saint? Pretending to be a martyr? After everything that hurt him, he's still okay.

How lucky! Share some of that!

Gradually, I stopped crying. I didn't speak again until he asked me out. He invited me to eat, but I quickly told him we needed to go back to school.

He agreed and drove me back. The students were still buzzing with gossip about the scene earlier.

"Poor Aries, isn't he?"

"What a shame! That's all he's good at."

"You can tell who the weak one is."

I clenched my fists and glared at them. When they noticed me staring, they shot sharp looks back.

I felt Yuri's hand on my shoulder. I looked at him.

"Don't pay attention to them," he said.

I nodded and walked toward our building. We were almost at the classroom when I noticed a commotion—some students looked like they were in trouble. I guess today is really unlucky.

Yuri ran ahead, and I followed. As we got closer, we saw Calix and Mykel fighting. Mica was surrounded by David, Eren, Kit, and Drew.

"Go on! Take him down!" someone from Section D yelled.

Calix's face was covered in blood, but he refused to stop punching and kicking.

"Enough!" Mica cried, her voice breaking. "Stop, Calix!"

Yuri and I stepped in almost simultaneously. I punched Mykel in the face, making him fall to the floor. His eyes burned with anger as he looked at me. His companions stirred, ready to charge, but Yuri immediately stepped in.

"STOP!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.

We exchanged glances. Mykel slowly stood up, wiping the corner of his lip.

"Mykel… why are you here?" Yuri asked calmly.

Mykel laughed a little. "I'm just picking up Mica."

"Liar!" Calix shouted. "You tried to kiss her, and now you're forcing her to come with you!"

I looked at Mica, who was still hiding behind the Snakes. Her fear was obvious—I didn't need confirmation of what Mykel did.

It's his habit. He's Mykeliling!

"Leave now," I said firmly.

Mykel walked up to me, smiling. I pointed at his forehead.

"You're not the one in charge here," he said just as firmly.

"Go away, Mykel. Leave Mica here," Yuri said.

Mykeliling turned to face him. They locked eyes, as if measuring each other's courage and strength.

"Watson just disappeared, and you think that makes you the strongest here? What can you do, huh? Hanamitchi?" he challenged.

Yuri didn't answer, but he didn't break eye contact either. Seeing no response, Mykeliling laughed, and his companions joined in. They all have brain damage.

"You don't belong here!" one of the Section D guys said arrogantly.

"You're just like Aries," another one added fuel to the fire.

"What do you expect from Section E?" Mykel sneered at his friends. "They're only brave when Watson is around. Well, he's not here now, is he?"

They burst into laughter again. I glanced at Yuri, who clenched his fists. His expression was calm but deadly serious.

These guys are insane! Why haven't they left yet?

"Are you done?" I asked, annoyed. "Maybe you can leave now?"

Suddenly, Mykel stepped closer and hugged me. His face was so close that I could smell his cigarette breath.

"You've been around for a while now. I think I have a crush on you," he said. "You're just like your cousin—so annoying to look at."

"Let go of Jay-jay," Yuri ordered.

Mykel still had a grip on my uniform collar. He looked at Yuri and chuckled.

"Make me," he challenged.

Yuri took a step forward, but before he could do anything, Mykel yanked me away from them. Section D was in chaos as some of the Ulupong members tried to help me.

This guy took the opportunity to pull me even further. I struggled, but my uniform was being pulled so hard that if I wasn't careful, I'd end up undressed in no time.

They'd see my bill... bill-bill!

"What?! Where are you taking me?!" I demanded angrily.

"I'm going to teach you a lesson. You need to learn to respect the new King."

New King?! Did he just declare himself? The nerve! They took Aries down just so he could call himself King? The audacity!

We arrived in front of the main building—the same place where they had beaten up Aries. Mykel released me carelessly, and I tumbled to the floor.

Some students saw us and quickly ran away. I slowly stood up, and within moments, students began pouring out of their classrooms.

"What is it this time?" Freya asked irritably.

Mykel pointed at me as he walked closer. "I'm tired of this girl."

Freya raised an eyebrow at me, but I ignored her. Instead, I focused on Mykel, who was pacing back and forth, as if deciding what to do next.

Teachers passed by, curious about the commotion, but the moment they saw Mykel and me, they chose to walk away, pretending not to see anything.

Cowards.

"Hold her," Mykel suddenly ordered.

Two men from Section A moved toward me. I panicked and immediately kicked one of them in the stomach. The other hesitated, looking scared.

"Useless! It's just one girl, and you can't even handle her?!" Mykel shouted in frustration.

I didn't notice him moving toward me until it was too late—he threw a punch straight at me. Pain exploded through my body.

"Ugh!" I groaned, my knees giving way as I dropped to the ground.

The students watching gasped and screamed. My vision blurred from the pain, my body growing weaker.

My heart sank.

I still hadn't regained my strength from his kick. I threw myself forward and collapsed onto the floor.

"You're both cousins! There's no point!" he shouted at me.

He was about to kick me again, but a sudden blow knocked him down. The force of the hit sent him crashing to the ground.

My arms trembled as I struggled to get up. I looked around to see who had done it, and when I saw him clearly, fear and shock gripped me.

He looked ready to kill someone. His hair was a mess, as if he had been fighting with a comb. He wore a simple T-shirt and jeans, but his face was filled with rage.

For a moment, I almost didn't recognize him. He seemed like a completely different person.

Brother Angelo.

Everyone froze at the sight of him. Some of the men ran, while others were so terrified that they wet themselves.

I turned my head when I saw Yuri and another Ulupong arrive. It looked like they had just finished arguing with Section D. But when they saw Kuya, they, too, stopped in their tracks.

"K-Kuya..." I called out, but my voice was barely above a whisper.

Mykel slowly got up, blood covering his nose and mouth. He swayed unsteadily, struggling to stay on his feet.

"Who do you think you are?" Kuya asked him in a dangerously calm voice. "You humiliated my brother and hurt my cousin. Who the fuck are you?"

Mykel took a step back as their eyes met. Even I felt afraid. The person standing before me didn't feel like Kuya.

"I will make you pay," Kuya continued, his voice cold and merciless. "I will make you wish you were never born. I will make you suffer. I will make you beg for death."

He stopped a few feet away from Mykel. "You will feel hell, asshole."

Mykel suddenly dropped to the ground, tears streaming down his face in sheer terror. We were all stunned by his reaction. Kuya had only hit him once, yet the effect was immediate.

And then there was that look in Kuya's eyes—sharp as a blade. I had never seen him like this before. Sure, I had seen him angry, but this was different.

Very different.

For reasons I couldn't understand, it felt like I was looking at Keifer. I knew that Keifer, Yuri, Percy, and Aries shared similarities in their actions and attitudes, but Kuya Angelo and Keifer… they were something else.

I snapped out of my thoughts when someone helped me stand. It was Yuri, along with David and Felix.

"Where does it hurt?" Felix asked.

I shook my head in response, my gaze returning to Kuya. He was still standing over Mykel.

"Who do you think you are?" Mykel asked angrily, though his voice betrayed his fear.

Kuya Angelo grabbed him by the collar and pulled him close.

"I am… your worst nightmare," he said before shoving Mykel onto the ground.

Section A quickly rushed to Mykel, who was trembling on his knees. The others whispered among themselves, but none dared to speak loudly.

Kuya turned to face us. I instinctively stepped back, his piercing gaze stopping me in my tracks.

I had to admit—I was scared of him. But now… he was even scarier. It felt as if his stare was ripping through me from the inside.

"What did that monster do to you?" he asked in a calm yet chilling tone.

My tongue felt tied, unable to form words. Kuya took a step toward me, but a loud, angry voice stopped him in his tracks.

We all turned toward the source. From the main building, the Guidance Counselor stormed toward us, his footsteps heavy with fury.

"What do you think you're doing?!" the counselor shouted. "You assaulted a student on school grounds! Do you realize we can sue you?!"

Kuya's eyes were empty as he looked at him. "Then sue me."

The counselor's face twisted with rage, veins bulging on his forehead.

"You've got some nerve!"

"Maybe you're forgetting something," Kuya said smoothly, though his demeanor shifted once more.

His eyes darkened again, sending a visible shiver through the counselor. Though he tried to hide it, his fear was evident.

"I'm the king of this place!" Kuya declared. "I'm the reason this school is still standing! After all, I own this school, and yet here you are, insulting me!"

His voice rose in anger. "So tell me, who really has the thick skin here?!"

"You're rude!" the counselor shouted, clutching his chest. "…You've never been disrespectful before!"

Ma'am felt like she was going to have a heart attack.

I turned to Yuri. "T-take care of Kuya. Ma'am might actually have a heart attack."

Yuri swallowed before speaking. "You don't understand, Jay… No one can stop your cousin."

I frowned. No one can stop him? It was like Keifer getting angry. We turned our attention back to Kuya.

"Get down, Angelo! You have nothing to boast about, so you can't scare us anymore!" Ma'am said firmly. "…You think too highly of yourself!"

Kuya let out a small laugh, surprising us all. "I don't need a company to scare you. You know that… Or maybe you'd like me to attack this school again and take your students with me?"

Ma'am stepped back completely, her face turning pale. The other students quickly supported her to keep her from collapsing.

"There was a rumor that the school burned down because of some chaos, but I had no idea Angelo had anything to do with it," Yuri said, avoiding my gaze.

A chill ran down my spine. I didn't know Kuya was capable of that. Burning down a school?!

"I'm still the King," he said with a smile.
