Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Chapter 201: Meng Suisui was bitten

Outside the building, the number of zombies was pitiful compared to yesterday. After Lei Qian cleared up the zombies, there were only a few that were staggering outside. However, Lei Qian was too lazy to deal with them; instead, he left these zombies in the hands of Meng Suisui, Meng Qibao, Director Feng and Lu Yin to practice.

He asked them to deal with these weak-looking zombies and collect supplies. As long as they collected them, those supplies didn't need to be shared. Of course, to make sure that nothing would go wrong, he got out of the car and kept an eye on things.

Bai Meiyue, on the other hand, stretched out her legs and turned around on her seat. Her eyes kept closing because of warm air coming out of the blower; what was more, with Lei Qian's presence, she felt relaxed and not as high strung as she usually felt. Thus, before she knew it, her eyes ended up shutting down and she started snoring lightly.

And when she woke up, an hour had passed. There were a few thudding sounds but Bai Meiyue was not alarmed, as she knew that her brothers and Lei Qian were with her. She yawned lazily and turned to look at Lei Qian, who was bringing in sacks of rice and some containers of oil with him.

He placed them all inside the trunk of the large car, including the back seat. Her brothers also raided the supermarket with the rest of the team members. Meng Qibao was so happy that he was dragging two sacks with him. One of rice and the other of the floor. But he was a slender man who had never worked a day in his life.

He couldn't pick them up. In the end, it was Bai Jixuan who helped him by carrying the sacks to the car.

However, what Bai Jixuan didn't notice was that the second he turned his back on Meng Qibao, the man's face turned red and his eyes became dewy.

Bai Meiyue also didn't see it, as she had already pushed open the car and stepped out. The cold air made her shiver lightly since the weather was too cold. Bai Meiyue decided to warm her body up a little. She took out the butcher knife that she carried with her and rushed at the three staggering zombies near the supermarket.

She dealt with them in a matter of seconds and then took out the nuclei from the inside of their skull. Once she was done with it, Bai Meiyue turned around and walked over to where Director Feng was. She watched him sweat profusely while trying to kill the zombie and said to him,

"You need to attack his head; there is no point in attacking anywhere else. Even if you chop him until it's a bloody mess, this zombie will still be able to move. So it's better to cut his head off."

Bai Meiyue knew that Director Feng was having trouble overcoming his psychological barriers. After all, the skull was one of the strongest parts of a human body; when it cracked, the sound it made was not only ugly but terrifying. Someone like Director Feng, who didn't even know how to kill a chicken and had never killed one, how could he cut off the head of the zombie so easily?

Even if it was already dead and could no longer feel pain, the zombie still looked like a human being.

However, Bai Meiyue knew that if Director Feng didn't overcome his barriers, he would end up in danger sooner and later. Thus, she urged him to attack the zombie's head.

When Director Feng heard her words, he gritted his teeth and raised the machete in his hands. With his eyes closed, he attacked the zombie's neck once and twice.

There was a cannon-like bang followed by a loud crack before the zombie fell down on the ground.

Director Feng staggered and sat down on the street with a plop when the zombie's head rolled off to one side. He looked absolutely terrified as he watched the red and black tar-like substance flow out of the head of the zombie.

Seeing this Meng Qibao, who was cleaning the zombies on the side, walked over and patted Director Feng on the shoulders. He said, "Don't worry, Director Feng. I too used to think that these things were humans and had a hard time dealing with them. But now that I have dealt with the obstacles in my heart, I find this quite enjoyable. You will start liking it too." Discover more stories at My Virtual Library Empire

Director Feng: "..."

The man tried to shake off the jitters and got to his feet; he walked over to another zombie and then attacked it with the machete.

Meng Qibao also went back to where Meng Suisui was busy handling a zombie and asked her, "Are you doing alright, sister?"

"Yes," Meng Suisui gritted her teeth and replied. However, when Meng Qibao was not looking, she pulled down the sleeves of her sweater. Just now, when she was not paying attention, the zombie that she was trying to kill lunged forward and bit her. Even though his teeth didn't cut off her wrist, his sharp and jagged teeth did scrape off the skin.

Meng Suisui could feel that there was something wrong with her body the second that thing bit her.

Her body started to feel feverish and her vision blurred slightly but the wound was not deep and she hoped that she wouldn't turn into a zombie because if she turned into one of these monsters, what would happen to her brother?

Thus, she gritted her teeth and held on because she could not turn into a zombie; she had to preserve for her brother.

No one knew about this little incident, as they were busy dealing with their own things. Once the supplies in the supermarket were more or less gone, they went back to their cars and drove away.

No one in their little team noticed another car coming to a stop behind them, just as they turned right and disappeared from the street.
