Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Bai Meiyue knew the second she saw Bai Feng that he was here to kill Lei Qian. His entire body was shrouded in electric sparks and his mood was obviously manipulated by Bai Xue, which made him even more dangerous. If she had not stepped in just now, Bai Meiyue wondered what Bai Feng might have done to Lei Qian.

Though her feelings towards Lei Qian were rather complicated, Bai Meiyue had no intention to kill the father of her child.

What was more, she knew that the reasons for which Bai Feng attacked Lei Qian were not out of his sincere heart. The reason he attacked Lei Qian was because he wanted to wash away the guilt that he had been carrying ever since he found out about her accident.

He could not fight with the Bai family, nor could he blame them. So he could only deal with Lei Qian and relieve a bit of his guilt.

So how could Bai Meiyue not be angry?

Bai Feng thought that she couldn't see through his actions but she could? He had always been like this. In her past life, he blamed everyone but the Bai family. Bai Meiyue could not understand if it was due to the filter that was planted on his eyes when he was a child but Bai Feng had never seen through the family.

Though he protected her and Bai Cai, Bai Feng was never able to fight back against the Bai family.

He didn't even ask a question to Lei Qian and attacked him straight away. What was he thinking!?

Behind Bai Meiyue, Lei Qian's lips were twitching hard. Though he knew that it was not right of him to smile in this scenario, he just couldn't help it. This was the best scenario, according to him. As long as Bai Meiyue broke up with the Bai family, then no one would be able to intervene between the two of them.

And by the Bai family, he meant Bai Feng.

He could sense that Bai Meiyue treated Bai Feng better than the rest of the Bai family. He was also the only one whom Lei Qian couldn't fight back but if Bai Meiyue were to break her relationship with him, he didn't have to worry about Bai Feng.

Thus, when he raised his head and looked at Bai Feng, his eyes were now filled with a proactive glint instead of the usual flattering attitude.

When Bai Feng noticed his satisfied glint, he couldn't help but feel annoyed. He wanted to complain to Bai Meiyue but when he saw her glaring at him, he didn't dare to say anything.

Bai Xue, on the other hand, was filled with livid rage; she glared at Bai Meiyue and then said to her, "Sister Yueyue! What kind of ecstasy soup has this man given to you? How can you fight with brother Feng for him?"

"Do you not know or are you pretending to not know?" Bai Meiyue questioned with a sneer. "Bai Xue, don't think that you are the only smart one here. Your abacus is clicking so hard that the beads are falling on my face. I have nothing against you trying to snatch this man from my side but if you want to do it, do it without using me as a stepping stone!"

Was Bai Meiyue a novice who did not understand what was going on inside Bai Xue head? She just wanted to use Bai Feng as her knife and then drive a wedge between her and Lei Qian.

Once she succeeded, she would go ahead and try to win Lei Qian to her side; just the one gaze alone was enough for Bai Meiyue to understand what was going on inside this woman's head. She could lie as much as possible but Bai Meiyue knew the truth.

Her words caused Bai Xue's face to turn pale. She glanced at Bai Feng who turned around and looked at her with a questioning look in his eyes. Seeing this, she panicked and said to him, "They are lying! I have no such intentions. Don't listen to her, Brother Feng. She is only trying to drive a wedge between the two of us."

"Hah!" Bai Meiyue simply sneered. She turned her head and looked at Bai Feng before saying to him, "Think things through. Bai Feng, do you really think that it is I who is trying to drive a wedge between the two of you or someone else?"

Bai Feng pursed his lips. He looked at Bai Meiyue who was smiling at him mockingly and then turned to look at Bai Xue, whose eyes were filled with resentment. Even though she didn't say anything to him, it was clear what she wanted.

"I apologise," Bai Feng lowered his head.

"Brother Feng!" Bai Xue resentfully glared at him but in return, she was glared at by Bai Feng. He reached out and pulled Bai Xue back before turning to look at Bai Meiyue. "I am sorry, Yueyue. I didn't think things through thoroughly and caused a lot of trouble for you."

He was also anxious and angry when he heard Bai Xue say that Bai Meiyue was living with the man who bullied her before the end of the world and that man was making her do a lot of things for him. She was the one who told him that Bai Meiyue was living a life like that of a slave and he couldn't help but feel panicked and angry for his sister.

As her brother, he knew that Bai Meiyue was a simple-minded woman who had no backbone. She only knew how to cry and wait for him to come and help her. Thus, even though he knew that Bai Meiyue had gotten stronger, somewhere he still took her as his vulnerable little sister, who needs his help at all times.

Thus, he couldn't help but believe Bai Xue's words.

He also understood that Bai Meiyue was not wrong in blaming him because she was right; he was being hypocritical.
