Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Lei Qian touched his nose when he heard the blaming note in the voice of Bai Jixuan's words. He wanted to say something, but he didn't dare to; after all, even though he was the one who caused Bai Meiyue to be pregnant, the truth was that the woman was the one who jumped on him!

He was the victim here.

Lei Qian nodded as he followed Bai Jixuan without saying anything. When he arrived at the kitchen, he saw Mother Bai fretfully ladling some porridge and chicken soup. She then turned to look at Lei Qian when she heard the sound of footsteps and questioned, "Ah Qian, has the situation become troublesome?" Though Mother Bai was not as quick in adapting, she was quick in understanding the mood of her daughter. She knew that there was something troubling Bai Meiyue.

"It seems like she is worried about Yu Miaomiao," Lei Qian honestly replied. His expression was uneasy as he said to Mother Bai, "I think it will be better if we start guarding against the outsiders as well. From now on, try to keep an eye on the things that you eat and wear."

When Mother Bai heard his response, her expression shifted to one of unease. She rubbed her hands over her apron and then said to Lei Qian, "Has the situation become so troublesome?"

"You can say that," Lei Qian solemnly replied. Even though he hoped to give an answer which was completely different from the one which Mother Bai was looking for, there was nothing that Lei Qian could do. Because this was the truth. If Bai Meiyue was worried about something, then certainly there was something wrong.

Mother Bai saw the seriousness on the face of Lei Qian, and she suddenly worried. Maybe there was a danger looming over their heads that she was not aware of. She nodded and said to Lei Qian, "Do not worry, Ah Qian. I will make sure that no one touches the pot of food other than me."

Her daughter was carrying a child; there was no way she would allow anyone to harm her! Especially with the Bai family living next to her.

While Mother Bai was worried about Bai Qingshi and Bai Xue causing trouble for her daughter, Bai Xue was lying in her bed. She was still recovering from the wounds that she had received from Bai Meiyue and her cruel actions. Though her entire body was hurting and aching rather badly, the one thing that was aching even worse was her heart; she was determined to win Lei Qian's heart and make that man her slave, just like Su Hu and the rest of the men.

But who would have thought that Bai Meiyue would get pregnant with his child?

The child in Bai Meiyue's belly became her biggest problem and the most painful heartbreak. It was as if Bai Meiyue's child was the reason why she would never be able to become Lei Qian's woman.

She could never accept the fact that Bai Meiyue was living a life better than hers; just the very thought of that woman living a life better than hers was enough to make her entire body feel stifled and angry. She hoped that Bai Meiyue would just die, but at the same time, she knew that there was no point in hoping for such a thing.

That woman —she was lucky enough to awaken while she! She became useless.

Just at that moment, Chu Xia pushed open the door of the room and walked inside. As soon as she walked inside the room, she looked at her daughter, who was lying on the bed and said to her, "How are you feeling, sweetie?"

"Mom, I feel so bad. I feel so, so bad! Why is Bai Meiyue so lucky? Why is she getting everything that is supposed to be mine?" It should have been she who stood next to Lei Qian and carried his child. But that bitch took advantage of the entire situation.
