Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

No wonder she thought that this woman looked way too stupid. Who would offend someone for the sake of an actor? One who didn't even know her.

"You don't need to apologise for her actions," stated Bai Meiyue calmly.

Meng Suisui's face turned even redder because she understood the underlying meaning of Bai Meiyue's words. Just because Bai Meiyue asked her not to apologise, it didn't mean that she did not mind Meng Anzhi's rude actions.

She was willing to forgo but not forgive!

Though Meng Suisui wanted to speak up for Meng Anzhi, she hesitated and then changed her words. Though Bai Meiyue was not someone who would attack someone for no reason, why provoke someone so dangerous?

Anyway, Bai Meiyue and her cousin would hardly meet ever again; thus there was no need for her to worry about Meng Anzhi.

"Is there something else?" Bai Meiyue asked when she saw Meng Suisui standing in the same spot without saying anything.

Meng Suisui snapped out of her daze before bowing in front of Bai Meiyue. She said to her, "Thank you for helping us just now, Miss Bai. If you hadn't stepped forward, then we would have suffered a loss—"

"AHHH!!"

"Save me, cousin! Save me!"

Meng Suisui was still speaking when Meng Anzhi came running towards them and behind her were a bunch of men who were hiding in the parking lot.

These men were all holding iron bars and some of them even had knives in their hands.

When Bai Meiyue saw the group of men, her eyes turned cold and she turned to look at Meng Anzhi, who stiffened and lowered her head guiltily.

It was not her fault. These men suddenly cornered her and demanded that she give them money. When she said that she had no money, they were about to kill her.

It was only when she told them that her cousin had purchased a lot of good things that they let go of her but in return Meng Anzhi had to bring them to her cousin.

So why was this woman looking at her like that? She was just trying to save her life.

Bai Meiyue glanced at the woman and looked away, her expression chilling down another two degrees. Very good, the apocalypse had just started and people were already showing their true faces.

"Pretty ladies, throw those bags down and run away. We only need the food."

When Meng Qibao saw that someone had come to snatch food from them, he turned to look at Meng Anzhi and snapped harshly, "Are you stupid? Do you not know how to hide when something like this happens? Why did you bring them here? Are you that foolish?"

"She is not foolish," Bai Meiyue threw the shopping bags in the hands of Meng Qibao. She knew that this man was a scaredy cat and there was no way he was going to join the fight. So, she might as well use him as a free coolie.

At the same time, she glanced at Meng Anzhi, whose face had gone paler than the moon and sneered, "Instead she is really smart."

Meng Suisui was not a fool; she at once understood what Bai Meiyue was trying to say. Her expression changed as she turned to look at Meng Anzhi with a wary look in her eyes.

When Meng Anzhi saw Meng Suisui looking at her, she felt even more guilty. However, she knew that she could not fall out with Meng Suisui and Meng Qibao at that moment. Her parents were abroad and she was living with the Meng siblings. As she was a student, she was relying on Meng Suisui and Meng Qibao.

So, she suppressed her guilty conscience in her heart and then said to Meng Suisui angrily, "Cousin Suisui, do you really think that I am such a person? She is clearly trying to sow discord. Don't you know what kind of person your cousin is?"

"We know very well; that's why we are suspicious," muttered Meng Qibao. Though he relied on his sister as well, he would never do anything that would harm Meng Suisui!

"You—"

"Enough!" The leader of the thugs sneered as he looked at the Meng siblings and Bai Meiyue. He raised the large butcher knife in his hand and threatened them, "You all better not waste my drop the things in your hands and run or else —"

He made a swiping motion across his throat with his knife, which scared the Meng siblings. The supermarket was in a remote place to begin with, and with the lashing rain and the stock running out, it would be a surprise if someone helped them.

In fact, it would be good enough if someone didn't take advantage of them and joined these thugs to snatch their groceries.

Meng Suisui turned to look at Bai Meiyue, who had dropped her groceries in Meng Qibao's hands and whispered, "Miss Meiyue, you can run away. I have a stun gun in my bag. I—I can hold these people until you call the police."

Meng Suisui was worried that Bai Meiyue would be agitated because of these thugs after all; her reputation had been ruined by a bad man just a few days ago.

And given how these men were leering at Bai Meiyue, Meng Suisui was sure that they did not have any good intentions.

Meng Suisui was indeed really scared but when she looked at Bai Meiyue, whose arms were thinner than hers, she tried to suppress her fear. After all, she was older and stronger than Bai Meiyue; she could definitely deal with these men for a few minutes, if not seconds.

But Meng Anzhi was really dissatisfied with the decision of her cousin.

Though she was scared by the sudden appearance of these thugs, there was also a little selfish and cruel idea of making these thugs ruin Bai Meiyue in her heart.

After all, this woman made her idol go to prison while she was freely roaming without any guilt. She deserved it!

On the other hand, Bai Meiyue had no idea what was going on in Meng Anzhi's mind. If she did, then she would have buried this woman in the ground here and now.

Such that she would not become a threat to her unborn son in the future.

Unfortunately, she didn't.
