Kotonoha stood frozen, staring at the puddle of blood on the ground, as if her mind had shut down.

"We're not equipped to handle this—retreat!"

Across from Kotonoha, the onmyoji were all showing signs of panic.

"But… there's a civilian!" The white-haired girl looked at the dazed Kotonoha with a worried face. "We can't just leave her behind!"

"Then stay here and die with her!" the blond guy shouted angrily, turning and running without a second thought. The purple-haired girl hesitated for a second, then quickly followed.

Boom, boom.

But just as their feet touched the ground, the demon's thick arm swung again—both of them were instantly reduced to blood and gore.

"Yuko! Kigo!" the white-haired girl's eyes went wide, filled with fear. Then, as if sensing something, she stiffly turned her head.

The demon's hollow eyes were staring straight at her. Its raised arm came down again.

A flash of black light.

The white-haired girl's pupils shrank as a skull made of dark mist came straight at her.

Whoosh.

Suddenly, a blade of light flashed by.

To her surprise, the black skull was split in two—then turned into a wisp of black smoke and disappeared into the air.

Whew.

With her long black hair flying and a katana in hand, the girl in Sakaki Academy's uniform stepped in front of her.

"You…"

The white-haired girl, who had just narrowly escaped death, let out a heavy breath and was about to say something when the girl in front of her said, "Stay back, unless you want to die."

Her voice was low, but the white-haired girl could hear a hint of amusement in it. What was she so happy about?

"Hehehe, this is getting fun." Kotonoha Katsura stared straight at the spinning demon, a faint smile curling on her lips. "You look like you can take a good beating."

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: ?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Miss Katsura, are you okay?

"I'm fine—better than ever." Kotonoha didn't reply in text, but spoke directly to the livestream camera. "Actually, I've never felt this good in my life."

Buzz.

The spinning demon raised its arm again after failing to hit its target. This time, its attention locked onto Kotonoha.

Black mist gathered around its arm made of human corpses. But before the black skull shape could form, Kotonoha suddenly vanished.

Squelch.

A flash of silver light cut through the air. A thick arm flew off and spun through the air.

Boom.

The arm hit the ground and the tightly packed corpses instantly fell apart. The black mist began to fade from their surface.

ROAR!

The spinning demon let out a scream that sounded like hundreds of humans crying out in their last moments.

"Oh, what a beautiful sound." Kotonoha licked her lips and grinned. "Makes me want to—" Before she could finish, her body disappeared again.

Squelch.

Another arm was cut off, and thick black blood splattered everywhere.

"I kinda want to hear it a few more times." As her feet landed back on the ground, Kotonoha flicked the blood off her blade.

Curly-haired Guy: She's awakened, right? Kotonoha-chan's totally awakened now!

Doujin Artist: Holy crap, it's like she turned into a whole new person! From shy girl to sadist queen!

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Pfft! I can't believe Miss Katsura just said that out loud!

Doujin Artist: What the hell, did she drink something weird?! Kotonoha-chan, snap out of it! If you don't, I'm recording all this and you're gonna die of embarrassment later!

"Ara~ I'm totally clearheaded right now." Kotonoha spun the blade in her hand and swung it at the demon's head again.

The giant head split cleanly down the middle. The black and red core inside shattered instantly.

Splat.

The human corpses that made up the Revolving Demon's body dropped from the air like dumplings, piling up all over the street.
