Chapter 327: 326: A Cannon
Yun Wuji surveyed the entire battlefield within the Omnipresent Domain. The situation was not far from what he had expected. Perhaps the only thing that slightly disappointed him was that Long Yi turned out to be stronger than anticipated. Even after fusing with the Dragon God's bloodline, the Dragon Emperor could only gain a slight edge over him.
"It's time to get serious."
The reason Yun Wuji dared to challenge the entire Dragon God Realm with nothing but his dragon pets was simple, he held absolute confidence in his ability to defeat them. That unshakable confidence stemmed from one of his own techniques.
The Dragon God Morph.
Back then, he created this technique mainly to increase the production of his dragon blood, which in turn strengthened his body and, more importantly, amplified his draconic might.
When facing other dragons with the Dragon God bloodline, the pressure from his dragon might would heavily suppress their strength.
Boom!
"Hey, little Bai." Yun Wuji's body flickered as he casually dodged yet another furious strike. "You're starting to look pitiful. So desperate just to land a single hit on me? Alright then, I'll do you a favor, go ahead, try. I'll stand right here."
He spread his arms, grinning, "You're supposed to be the mighty Dragon Monarch, but all I see is a useless overgrown lizard flailing around. You've lived for 350,000 years, and you still can't touch a brat in his twenties? It seems that all your years of cultivation had gone to waste."
"No wonder Shen Xi laughed every time your name came up." He examined his nails. "Even trash shines brighter than you."
The leg that had just moved to charge at Yun Wuji froze in place. Long Bai stared at him with bloodshot eyes.
He knew this disgusting kid was only provoking him, but he couldn't help it, because every word felt like the truth. Otherwise, why would Shen Xi choose this brat over him? The man who had chased her devotedly for hundreds of thousands of years!?
"SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!!"
Space itself convulsed violently across dozens of kilometers, swelling outward with the Simp Monarch at its epicenter, as if space itself might rupture from his fury.
In a blur of motion, he appeared directly before Yun Wuji. His fist descended like a collapsing star, the sheer force of it warping space into a crushing vortex around the blow.
Bang!
Crack! Crack!
Just as the fist was about to land on Yun Wuji, the entire attack suddenly reversed. Long Bai's defenseless body was brutally sent flying by his own power, bones cracking loudly with each impact.
Moon Star Restoration instantly rebounds any attack, regardless of its strength or form. The most deadly thing about it is that the rebound happens when the attacker is at their most vulnerable moment. When their own attack is reflected back at them, they have no time to set up any defense.
At the same time, an angry dragon cry filled with ancient heavenly might and fury rang out in the skies of the Eternal Heaven God Realm once more. But this time, the Dragon Monarch and everyone else were prepared for it. However, the moment the dragons unleashed their dragon souls with all of their might, their eyes instantly went blank again.
A huge silver dragon appeared in the Dragon Monarch's and the other dragons' mind's eye, and it was as colossal as a star realm... No, the entire Primal Chaos itself seemed to be merely a resting place for its vast body.
In front of its immense presence, the Dragon Monarch's own draconic body, which had allowed him to haughtily look down on all other living creatures in this universe, was as tiny and insignificant as an ant. His noble and exalted bloodline and soul were so inferior to the presence before him that he did not even dare to stare at the dragon directly or even lift his head toward it.
He felt as if those two dragon eyes, which could take in the entire universe, were staring straight at him. He felt as if this dragon only needed a single instant, a single thought, to erase him from existence like a speck of dust.
Inferiority, terror, collapse... Long Bai and the others froze in the sky for a moment as their vast dragon energy dissipated wildly in all directions. After that, they once again fell from the sky like shooting stars.
However, because they had set up defenses around their souls this time, they had been stunned for a far shorter period than before. They managed to forcefully regain some focus and clarity just as they were plummeting toward the ground.
BOOOM!! Rumble! Rumble!
But that lapse of focus was more than enough for the Dragons of Absolute Beginning to take advantage of.
The Dragon Emperor's claw descended upon Long Yi, grabbing him, and with his other claw, he brutally tore at his shoulder, sending a shower of blood into the air.
The other Dragon Kings, however, were not as efficient. They only managed to inflict varying degrees of damage on the Venerable Withered Dragons and Long Fei.
The ones who suffered the most were the forty-three Dragon Sovereigns and the three hundred and eight Master Dragons.
More than ten of the Dragon Sovereigns were killed, and the rest were severely injured.
As for the three hundred and eight Master Dragons, they had been completely wiped out by Yun Wuji.
Yun Wuji's battle strength had already reached the ninth level of the Divine Master Realm. And as everyone knew, due to the unique nature of his profound veins, every single one of his attacks erupted with maximum output. His attack speed was also terrifyingly fast, far beyond what most cultivators could react to.
Against the Master Dragons, who at best had only reached the seventh level of the Divine Master Realm, he did not need to exchange dozens of blows. A few precise strikes were all it took. Before they could even form proper defenses or retreat, their bodies were torn apart like paper under the force of his devastating power.
"Finally, these pests are out of the equation. I should store their bodies; they will serve as excellent refinement materials later." Yun Wuji clapped his hands happily, and with a swift movement, he stored all the corpses of the three hundred and eight Master Dragons.
Dragons possessed the toughest bodies in the world. Their bones were stronger than any metal, their hides could be used to craft powerful armor, and their blood and hearts were valuable for refining high-grade pills. But what mattered most to Yun Wuji were their Dragon Orbs. Similar to a beast's profound core, the Dragon Orb of a Divine Master contained immense energy. Three hundred and eight of them would make a fine addition to his resource collection.
With the death of the largest portion of his enemies, Yun Wuji finally had the time to observe what was happening outside the Omnipresent Domain. His devil body remained engaged with the Southern Sea God Realm, limiting his broader perspective of the battlefield all this while.
His brows knitted into a frown. The situation was stable, and his side even held a slight advantage, but that would not last long if nothing changed.
However, he soon relaxed and muttered, "I don't need to worry about this. Chi Wuyao probably has a plan."
"Aghhh! Bastard!" Long Bai burst out of the crater he had plummeted into and roared in boiling fury. The sight of his people being slaughtered by Yun Wuji ignited his rage once again. And it was not just him. The Dragon Gods and the Venerable Withered Dragons were also trembling with anger.
Each Master Dragon had been a pillar of the Dragon God Realm. The death of even one was a devastating blow... yet now, all of them had been annihilated at once.
It would take tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of years, to cultivate replacements. Unlike humans, dragons required an incredibly long time to grow in strength. And to make matters worse, the Dragon God Realm did not rely on any Indestructible Divine Inheritance. Every single member had reached their current level through hard-earned effort.
It was no exaggeration to say that they had just lost more than half of their overall strength.
"You dare wantonly kill my Dragon God race! I will not rest until I slaughter every person connected to you and shred you to pieces!"
Ash Dragon God was the most irascible, haughty, and violent of all Dragon Gods. How could he possibly tolerate what had happened to his kin?
"Scram, bastard!" His eyes widened to their limits. A hoarse roar tore from his throat as gray draconic energy suddenly burst from his body. An earth-shaking explosion rocked the area around him as a pair of enormous dragon wings unfurled amidst the surge of gray energy.
Normally, the Dragon God race conducted their daily business in human form since it consumed the least amount of energy and caused the least strain on their bodies.
The Ash Dragon God's true form stretched thousands of meters long. The gray-white scales along his body gleamed with a cold light brighter than any metal. Even a single glance at that light was enough to make a Divine Sovereign or Divine Master feel the weight of oppression and, at times, pure despair.
The moment his original form appeared and his Dragon God power erupted, energy waves from the outburst could overturn the heavens and the earth. They were so immense that they blasted aside even the Dragon of Absolute Beginning he had been fighting.
"Dragon God? Even someone like you deserves that title?" Yun Wuji stared at the gray-white dragon and threw his head back, bursting into laughter.
Among the Ancient Gods, everyone knew the Dragon God was the most powerful after the Four Creation Gods.
So, as inheritors of the Dragon God's bloodline, the Dragon God race was supposed to be the strongest in the world.
But "Dragon God" was a divine title that belonged only to the Primordial Azure Dragon. Thanks to its blessing, these so-called "Dragon Gods" were nothing but profaners of the Primordial Azure Dragon's name, according to Yun Wuji.
If anyone truly deserved the title of Dragon God today, there were only three: first, Yun Wuji himself, the sole inheritor of the Primordial Azure Dragon's original bloodline, soul, and dragon marrow.
Second, Shen Xi, the Primordial Azure Dragon's daughter.
And third, their daughter, the granddaughter of the Primordial Azure Dragon.
"You think you deserve to be called a Dragon God?"
"You think anyone can call themselves a monarch in my presence?"
Yun Wuji suddenly tilted his neck back and let out a low hiss. The Dragon God's blood coursing through his veins surged, and the draconic aura he had hidden all this time burst forth in full force.
The release of that aura caused the very air to freeze. The crushing pressure pressing down on Yun Wuji vanished like a weak breeze.
"Ah!"
"This… this is…"
Shock, fear, terror. The five Venerable Withered Dragons turned pale as death. The Nine Dragon Gods looked thunderstruck. The Dragon Sovereigns trembled in disbelief.
They might be wrong about many things, but they could not mistake the aura of a true Dragon God.
In raw pressure, Yun Wuji's aura was weaker than Long Bai's.
But in purity and intensity, Yun Wuji's Dragon God blood was far beyond anything they had seen. So overwhelming that they would rather tear their own souls apart than trust their senses. It was terrifying enough that no one dared to probe or even sense it with spiritual perception.
Long Yi, the oldest Dragon God, was the most shocked of all.
Yun Wuji's bloodline purity and strength surpassed even the Dragon God ancestor who founded the Dragon God Realm.
"Im… impossible… impossible…" Long Yi muttered, dazed and disbelieving, trapped in what felt like a nightmare.
"Nothing is impossible, old worm." Yun Wuji shook his head and glanced at the gray dragon trembling in the sky. "You are not the only one who can turn into a dragon."
BOOM!
A blinding silver light erupted from Yun Wuji's body, spreading across more than three hundred kilometers.
All the dragons, from the Dragon Gods to the Dragons of Absolute Beginning, stared at the scene in stunned silence.
...
At the same time, in another part of the Eternal Heaven God Realm, a white light began to emit from beneath the debris. The light grew brighter and brighter until it caught everyone's attention.
"What is that?" The Yama Emperor paused his fight with the Ink Qilins and stared at the light with growing unease. A bad feeling settled in his chest.
"Could it be?" The Qilin Emperor's face showed surprise as he muttered under his breath. Without hesitation, he put distance between himself and Yan One, running far away. He quickly transmitted orders for the others to do the same.
The black giant also stopped his abuse of the Southern Sea and turned his gaze toward the shining light.
"You're finally ready to use it, old hypocrite?" Chi Wuyao whispered softly, her misty, limpid eyes locked on the source.
Rumble!
The white light erupted with a thunderous roar, pushing aside the debris to reveal its source.
It was a gigantic white cannon, covered with many gray inscriptions all around. It was long and thick, with a triangular opening completely covered in a profound formation.
Behind it stood the Eternal Heaven God Emperor. His usually sagely and amiable face was marred with blood. Now, with a cold and ruthless expression, he looked like a devilish maniac.
"Filthy devils! Today, I will erase you all from the face of this world and free the Primal Chaos from your filth!"
