Chapter 157: Breaker of Chains
Deep in the pyramids scattered all over the nightmare desert, there were several interconnected spaces called hot pots.
There were breeding pots for the myriad creatures in the desert. Guilliman had once seen these place when he leapt through the first warp. And later on it became the prime target of the armies higher ups.
They had raided these pockets time and time again, and time and time again they had failed losing several members of their teams.
Finally around several months back they were able to isolate one of the mothers inside the hot pockets and attempt to kill it.
It was a tall order but they tried anyway.
this was a great abomination, a walking calamity at the chieften rank!! Their efforts yielded absolutely nothing. Neither of the three A ranks shelter leaders yielded a single victory.
So they made a long and far fetched bet.
The first to kill the serpent would lead the army as the chief of war.
Unknown to them, another party had taken this bet to heart.
"You…." Klaus pointed at the apparition in shock his finger shaking violently.
Guilliman was crazy, he knew this. But was he this crazy? Did this kid actually go into the pyramids to hunt down a great abomination? What kind of logic was this? It was preposterous.
"Hahahaha, you're sacred old man? How do you like my new pet!!??" Guilliman laughed hysterically seeing the shock in Klaus's eyes.
It filled him with joy to see him like this, Guilliman knew what he had to go through to kill this thing, the several near death encounters. It was by far the hardest thing Guilliman had done in his life.
And that's saying a lot, he seen and been through a lot of things in his life.
"Hmm" the Blacksteel lord frowned for a few seconds as his mind calmed down.
Guilliman had killed that thing, no doubt. It was Standing right before him. But did that mean that Guilliman could kill him too? Highly unlikely.
He wasn't a beast, he couldn't be lured nor tricked. And he was way more stronger than the average S rank. If Guilliman thought he could kill him, he had another thing coming.
-roar!!!!
But of course, there's still that thing.
"Break this thing!!" Guilliman barked staring down Klaus.
All of a sudden, the serpent creatures tail coiled and wrapped around Guillimans neck….snapping the slave collar with a brutal squeeze.
-cling
Klaus was strong, but his collars had limits. Against the brutal strength of the great abomination, it shattered like glass.
Guilliman raised his head and looked down at Klaus as the serpent slowly rose him up into the air.
"Blacksteel lord, do you still wish to fight? Do you wish to ensiave me still?" His eyes glowed with a condasending glow.
He had an A ranked soul apparition flying next to him with a white tempered armament, an army of ghostly figures slowly materializing all over, and right beneath him was a great abomination.
Could he really beat Guilliman? Maybe. Was it worth it?
The blacksteeel lord stayed silent, he had no words, how could he? Guilliman had left him completely powerless here.
"That's what I thought" Guilliman sneered, then with a causal swing of his hand the old devil joined him and-
-boom!!!!
Guilliman blew a hole through the recently fixed castle windows and plummeted down the ravenskeep castle.
It was the spectacle of the ages, a slave walked up to his master and with sheer might and forced him to relinquish his control over him.
To make matters worse, it was a nobody at purple not even ranked against an S Ranked Slayer.
"Fucker!!" Klaus cursed seeing guilliman leave in such a grand way.
This was embarrassing, beyond embarrassing!!
"You two, get the fuck up your asses and mobilize some men. I feel like killing something!!" Klaus turned to his children and barked.
This was a very delicate situation, he had to find a way to keep up the illlusion of power. He had to kill something big and brutish.

Meanwhile,
Guilliman flew through the horizon, not heading towards anywhere he knew. Rather an unexplored vast land in hopes of finding someone dear to him.
Kong Stronghold,
Hundreds of miles away, a giant structure stood in the middle of a vast land. It had towering walls that stretched into the skies, high rise buildings that brimed with activity and a single spiral staircase that led to nowhere in the middle of the city.
[You are not worthy of the ascent, go back. You're heart is unsettled]
In the ear of a young woman with silver hair, a voice resounded causing her to deeply frown. She was covered in wounds, bleeding through her pours, and although she was healing fast she looked miserable.
"Frustrating, if I don't climb I can't settle my heart and you're telling me the requirement of ascent is a settled heart? What the hell?!!" She screamed out in frustration at the sky.
She fought so hard to be here, so much more to move forward steadily, but now she had failed. She was a disgrace.
"No reason to feel down little girl, failing is a prelude to success. You should step down for now" a feminine voice resounded next to the young girl with silver hair causing her to turn back.
There was no one there, just her. But she was aware who just spoke.
"Thank you for the endulgance" The girl with silver hair bowed down slightly and turned around to walk downwards.
She didn't show it in her demeanor or response, but she knew what that voice meant wasn't a request or advice.
Rather it was a threat.
If she didn't come down at that very moment, not only would she be killed on the spot. Everyone in her cohort would be systematically hunted down and killed one after the other.
The rules of the Kong Stronghold were cut throat.
And why not?
They had a cut throat as their ruler.
