Awakening Kryptonian Bloodline In Marvel.

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: This...is cheating!

Tony was brimming with competitive energy, sketching out designs while keeping a subtle eye on Malrick nearby.

At first glance, it looked like Malrick was focused on the most basic mechanical structures, which made Tony smirk with premature confidence.

Everyone's motivation for competition was different.

In just half an hour, Tony resolved the propulsion system issue that had been giving him headaches for two days. Inspiration had struck hard.

Meanwhile, Malrick had already finished reviewing the basics of exoskeleton mechanics and moved on to circuit structures.

Tony glanced over again, still under the impression Malrick had shifted focus out of frustration or failure. He laughed quietly to himself.

"Hit a wall already? Don't worry, it's normal. Not everyone can digest knowledge on a whim. That's why geniuses like me exist," he said, smugly tweaking the equipment on his jet boots.

He added with a grin, "Once I finish the most advanced armor ever built, maybe I'll even let you try it on."

Tony had completely forgotten that Malrick could fly.

He was fully absorbed in the thrill of soon proving himself superior to his younger, supposedly less-talented brother. With "DUM-E" (his assistant bot) helping, he even hummed Jingle Bells as he soldered wires into place.

Malrick ignored Tony's gloating.

Sitting quietly, he absorbed the comprehensive research Jarvis had assembled for him. If Tony had happened to glance over Malrick's shoulder at that moment, he might've swallowed his ego whole.

Lines of code, schematics, and technical data flashed across Malrick's screen at a blinding speed—too fast for a regular human to follow.

Yet Malrick's eyes remained fixed calmly on the opening line of each page as it appeared.

The truth? The display wasn't fast enough to keep up with him.

It took him thirty seconds to read and absorb a university-level engineering textbook.

In half an hour, he became a theoretical expert in a specialized field.

If there were a system that rated expertise, upgrade icons would've popped up above his head one after the other:

Level 1… Level 2… Level 3… Level 4…

If Tony had seen it, he would've realized Malrick was no longer competing on equal ground.

But reality offered no such warning.

Three hours later, Malrick stood up with a quiet confidence.

Tony, in the middle of his thirteenth propulsion test, hovered more steadily now. He noticed Malrick and smirked.

"Look who finally gave up. Come to admit defeat, little Malrick?"

Malrick smiled slightly and adjusted invisible glasses on his nose. "Not quite. I've finished learning what I needed. Now I'm ready to help."

Tony blinked, then chuckled. "That's cute. You might not be able to contribute much, but I guess you can help carry heavy parts."

He lowered himself to the ground, landing awkwardly but catching his balance.

"Come on then. The propulsion system's basically done. Time to move on to the armor itself."

Tony, convinced he already had the victory, focused on building the final suit. He delegated tasks with confidence.

"Malrick, grab the titanium alloy and gold. DUM-E, hold the magnifier steady."

The two worked side-by-side. Tony gave the instructions while Malrick listened and followed.

From time to time, Malrick asked questions—at first simple, then gradually more advanced.

Tony, locked into his creative flow, didn't notice the change. He answered instinctively, thinking he was teaching a novice.

Despite always calling Malrick foolish, some part of him clearly wanted to pass on what he knew.

"There. That spot's wrong. Reroute from here to avoid a short."

"Haha, no way. That load is way too heavy for a transforming joint."

"Nice, install the stabilizer right there."

"Malrick, your strength is a godsend. Honestly, you're more reliable than a hydraulic press."

"Should've brought you down here days ago."

The entire day and night passed in a blur.

Thanks to Malrick, their efficiency in building and assembling the armor skyrocketed.

What normally would have taken weeks—maybe months—was 80% finished in one night.

When Tony needed an ultra-precise component, instead of waiting for a manufacturer, Malrick simply used his strength and precision to make a better one on the spot.

Tony's face was pale with exhaustion, dark circles forming deep under his eyes—but his gaze was sharp and manic.

The armor was nearly finished.

He just needed to finalize the connection to Jarvis and run test calibrations.

He turned to give the next order. "Malrick, go ahead and build another current loop. Once that's done, we can finish the final assembly—"

But Malrick cut him off.

"No, Tony. I'm done here," he said.

Tony stared. "What are you talking about?"

Malrick shrugged. "I said I'd build a better armor than the Mark series in three days. I've learned everything I need. You can finish yours alone."

"I'll be in my own lab from now on. Come up if you need anything."

Tony was stunned. "You're seriously building your own armor? You're not joking?"

He started to say something snarky—but stopped.

He remembered the night before.

Malrick's questions had shifted. He had grown sharper. Quicker. His hands, clumsy at first, had become expert.

Tony had been too locked into his own work to notice.

But now, the pieces came together in his mind like a schematic snapping into place.

Malrick had gone from novice to equal in less than a day.

Possibly even… superior.

"Your learning speed," Tony whispered, slowly sitting down in disbelief. "That's the super brain?"

He looked shell-shocked.

"This is cheating."
