Chapter 255: Demons Skills
Daniel then opened Leia's skill panel. Her stats were somewhat lower than the other two demons.
It wasn't all that surprising—after all, she was the only demon general who didn't fight and instead just stood in the corner.
At the start of the battle, Daniel was actually very confused about why Leia wasn't doing anything, just silently observing everything from afar. He even suspected she was preparing to launch a surprise attack or something like that.
But eventually, it became clear—she was a support-type and didn't have a direct combat role.
Because of that, Daniel had expected from the beginning that her stats wouldn't be particularly strong.
He then looked through her skills. As he expected, most of them were focused on healing and support.
Daniel went through them one by one to see if there was anything worth copying.
And in fact, he found two very good support-type skills:
> [Demonic Twilight Shield (S)]: Creates a shield made of demonic energy that not only blocks enemy attacks but also absorbs part of the energy and returns it as mana or power to the user and their allies.
> [Burned Covenant (S)]: Creates a field and forms a blood pact with allies. As long as allies remain within the field, they are instantly healed from any damage. The longer they stay, the stronger and more energized they become. Allies cannot die unless the user dies, unless the enemy is vastly more powerful.
He read the descriptions of both and paused to think. Both skills were extremely useful, especially for his army of Fallens.
However, the second one was a bit less useful for him—his Fallen units couldn't be killed unless the enemy was at the level of an Awakened Rank S and did something like what Kaelos did.
And honestly, Daniel doubted even Kaelos had actually done that. What he saw back then was something that felt more like interfering with the concept of fate and manipulating karma.
He really doubted that was something within the power of a Rank S Awakened. That felt more like something only a demigod could do.
In any case, he focused on the first one instead. It worked not only as a defensive barrier but could also boost his Fallen units' power.
Without hesitation, he chose it to copy:

After that, Daniel moved on to the final demon general—Abraham.
He was the only demon who, along with Velmiran, had transformed into a Paragon.
And based on what Daniel had seen, Abraham might actually have been the strongest among all four of Velmiran's demon generals in terms of raw power.
So Daniel had high expectations. He immediately opened his panel.
As he guessed, Abraham's stats were much higher than the other three demons—by a wide margin.
Unlike them, Abraham had reached the peak of Rank B.
Then he checked his skills. Abraham's skills focused on combat and hand-to-hand techniques, although there were also some special movement skills that caught Daniel's eye.
Movement-type skills were relatively rare, and so far, Abraham was the only one Daniel had seen with one.
Contrary to what some might think, movement skills were incredibly important—especially in high-level battles.
Until now, Daniel had only ever heard of such skills, but he'd never actually seen anyone use them in real combat.
He skimmed through the skill descriptions and picked three that seemed to be the best:
> [Hellstorm Fists (A)]: The user enhances their punches by injecting demonic power borrowed from the Underworld. The upper limit depends on the user's own physical capacity.
> [Bloody Shadow Dance (S)]: The user can move through shadows, making their movements unpredictable and nearly impossible to read, even for the best fighters.
> [Scorched Aura (A)]: The user activates an aura that weakens nearby enemies, disables their healing abilities, and if they try to recover, reopens their wounds with a scorching effect.
The choice was pretty clear.
Hellstorm Fists was of little use to him—he could already boost his punches with Death and Eternity energy easily.
Scorched Aura also wasn't too helpful for him. Using the Law of Death, he could already disable enemy healing.
Though admittedly, disabling healing for Rank A enemies was still extremely difficult at his current level.
That left just one clear option—Bloody Shadow Dance.

Daniel was about to move on to his Rank A Fallens, but then he remembered Pride and Azrak. Before checking the strongest ones, it made more sense to review those two first.
He started with Pride and opened his panel. A quick glance told him that Pride's stats had grown significantly—he was now on par with a peak Rank B.
His class had also naturally evolved into Fallen Venerable.
Daniel checked his skill list. He still had his old abilities, but a few new ones had been added.
Daniel skimmed the new skills to see if any were worth copying.
He found only two that were useful:
> [Corrupted Scales (A)]: Defensive scales that act like armor when activated. They grant 50% resistance against attacks from other corrupted beings.
> [Wings of Corruption (S)]: Wings born of corruption, symbols of destruction and chaos. They allow the user to fly at very high speeds and release a corruption aura during flight.
His attention leaned more toward the first skill. After all, he could already fly, and thanks to his mana pool and current power, his speed was more than enough.
Plus, he wasn't particularly interested in creating more corrupted beasts.
The first skill had broader utility—especially the 50% resistance against same-type attacks.
He was only a bit concerned about the aesthetics. God knows how ugly he'd look with those scales on.

Next, he opened Azrak's panel. For a while, Azrak had been his strongest Fallen—a giant knight that even some of the most talented Awakened couldn't defeat.
"These stats…" was the first thing that came to Daniel's mind. Azrak's stats didn't look like those of a normal peak Rank B at all.
