The smell of sizzling meat filled the air as the orphanage's backyard transformed into a lively barbecue party. Automated grills lined the patio, each one expertly handling steaks, hot dogs, and burgers while nanobots ensured everything was perfectly cooked. Children ran around, some still buzzing from the soccer game, others excitedly showing off their new toys.

Bruce stood near one of the grills, flipping burgers while watching them play. Hela, much to his amusement, was still surrounded by children who now treated her like some kind of legendary warrior-turned-playmate. She had lost her initial stiffness, though she still carried herself with a regal presence, occasionally making dry remarks about the "inefficiency of mortal games."

The peaceful atmosphere was shattered by the distant sound of a roaring engine. Bruce instantly recognized it. His eyes narrowed.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me."

A blue, high-tech motorcycle shot over the orphanage's front gate at an alarming speed. The children gasped and cheered as it landed with a dramatic skid, kicking up a small cloud of dust. The rider, dressed in bright red and black, cackled wildly, her blonde pigtails whipping in the wind. Behind her, was a familiar figure with an Ironman helmet.

Harley Quinn and Morgan Stark had arrived.

"WHOO-HOO! HAHA! Now THAT'S how ya make an entrance!" Harley whooped, swinging one leg over the bike and hopping off like she hadn't just committed grand theft auto.

Morgan removed her helmet, shaking out her dark curls and grinning. "That. Was. AWESOME. We were like flying."

Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose. "Morgan… please tell me you didn't steal that from the Tower."

"Technically," Morgan began, stretching the word as she hesitated, "it was Harley's idea?"

"Don't throw me under the bus, kid!" Harley said, grinning. "I just said, 'Hey, wouldn't it be fun to go to a party in style?' And then she agreed! It's called bonding. And you are the one hacked into the mainframe and unlocked it."

Before Bruce could properly scold them, a shadow loomed overhead.

Selina, dressed in her office uniform which was a simple black suit, flew down from the sky. She landed gracefully, folding her arms and scowling at Harley. "You clown. You lied to me. I hope you are ready for what's coming next? And you, Miss. Stark Jr. Lying isn't a good thing."

Harley blinked innocently. And both of them said at the same time, "Define 'lied.'"

Selina glared. "You told me Tower 2 was under attack, and when I got there, everything was fine. I guess, Morgan hacked into the system and raised a false alarm. And when I got back, you were already halfway out of the garage on that prototype bike."

"Well, technically, it was an emergency," Harley said with a smirk. "A fun emergency."

Selina growled, rubbing her temples in frustration. "Do you have any idea what I had to deal with? Papers, meetings, signing mountains of documents, and on top of that you..."

Bruce, at this point, had given up. He crossed his arms, watching the chaos unfold with mild exasperation. "So, let me get this straight. You," he pointed at Harley, "convinced my daughter to steal a million-dollar prototype bike, used a fake distress signal to distract Sel, and somehow still managed to get here in one piece?"

Harley popped a piece of gum into her mouth. "Yup."

Hela, who had been silently observing, smirked. "I like her."

Bruce shot her a look. "Of course, you do. I am still thinking of locking you two in a room for a week."

Meanwhile, the children, now thoroughly entertained, had completely abandoned their previous activities in favor of crowding around the stolen bike. A few of them asked Harley if they could take it for a spin. Morgan, emboldened by the attention, puffed out her chest. "Dad, can I keep it?"

"No. You can teleport and fly. You even got your own suit that you hacked into and customized on your own."

"How did you...?"

"I designed that suit."

Harley pouted. "Aww, come on, Brucie. Let the kid have some fun! It's got auto-stabilizers! Practically drives itself."

"That is not making your case any better."

Before the argument could escalate further, Sister Margaret approached, ever the picture of calm despite the absolute chaos in front of her. "Mr. Stark, Miss Quinn, Miss Kyle," she greeted politely. "Might I suggest we continue this conversation after lunch?"

Bruce sighed, rubbing his face. "Fine. But after lunch, we're discussing consequences."

Morgan and Harley groaned in unison.

"You staying for lunch, right?" He looked at Selina.

"Do I have a choice?" Her stomach grumbled. "I haven't eaten since this morning."

"Nope. You are staying," he grinned at her.

Selina glared at him but then smiled at the kids. She loved kids. "Ok then."

"Kids, help out with the plates, please."

Everyone rushed to get their share of the food. Bruce smiled. He watched his family eat and play. His gaze settled on Morgan, who was still riding the high of being the center of attention.

"What's on your mind?" Selina asked as she sat beside him with her plate full of meat.

He smiled at her. "Just thinking about old times and missing mom, dad, Diana, Ivy, Maggie, and all back on the other side. I'm working on a device... An interdimensional gate... I hope it works."

"I miss them too," Selina said sadly. "I'm sure it will work. I trust you."

They watched the kids laugh and play, enjoying themselves.

[Next morning]

The next morning, Bruce arrived at the S.H.I.E.L.D. training facility, a sprawling high-tech compound designed to mold the next generation of heroes and agents. He had promised to swing by to check on the recruits, and if there was one thing he still prided himself on, it was keeping his promises—no matter how much chaos surrounded him.

As he stepped onto the training grounds, he was met with the sound of sparring matches, grunts of exertion, and the occasional blast of energy. The recruits were already deep into their routines, with Clint Barton standing at the center of it all, barking orders and offering sharp-witted commentary to keep them on their toes.

"Alright, rookies! If you don't want to be smeared across the pavement the next time a villain sneezes in your direction, you better—oh, look who decided to show up," Clint called out, spotting Bruce. "Didn't think you'd actually wake up early enough for this."

Bruce smirked, adjusting the cuffs of his tailored jacket. "I figured I'd come see what kind of circus you're running here, Barton." He scanned the field, eyes landing on Ami Han in her fox form, gracefully maneuvering through a set of obstacles. Her agility was unparalleled, every movement precise and controlled. Near her, Tigra was sparring with a few lower-tier recruits, her feline reflexes making short work of her opponents. At the far end, Jennifer Takeda was practicing controlled bursts of radiation energy, her hands glowing with each pulse.

Bruce walked over, hands in his pockets. "I see you all are keeping busy."

"Busy is an understatement," Clint replied, folding his arms. "They've been pushing themselves hard. Ami's been working on refining her hybrid combat style, Tigra's fine-tuning her instincts, and Jennifer—well, she's working on control."

Hazmat smirked. "I've got it handled, don't worry. No accidental nuking here."

Bruce arched an eyebrow. "How's your control?"

"Ever since you fixed me up, everything's fine," She replied as she threw another blast at the moving target. The blast struck the target perfectly.

Bruce smiled. "You're progressing faster than I thought. Keep up the good work."

"Thanks, Bruce."

Bruce turned to Ami who had just completed her fifth run around the obstacle course. As soon as their eyes met, Ami dashed up to him like a lightning bolt, leaving a trace of fox fire in her wake. She stopped inches before him, her tail wagging excitedly.

"Hey, you looking excited," He said with a smile.

"Because you are here. I've been waiting to meet you again," She said with a blushed face.
