Beast Taming Patrol

Chapter 148: "Peaceful" College Life (Seeking Monthly Pass)

"Knowledge Tower Room 412…"

Lin Su had Qiuqiu perched on his head and was followed by Gui Gui as he quickly weaved through the buildings of the teaching block, soon brightening up as he found the classroom where his first lesson was.

About to embark on the course schedule, his first class was "An Overview of Evolution Theory of Mutant Beasts."

If you ask whether such a class is useful, it indeed is very useful.

With no upcoming evolutionary forms for Qiuqiu and Gui Gui in sight, he could only rely on himself to research, so before that, he needed to have a complete theoretical knowledge.

This course was one of the important theoretical bases for planning the subsequent evolution of his two pet beasts.

But the course wasn't that important.

Because the words "An Overview" were added to the course title.

As everyone knows, a course with "An Overview" attached to it is really just a brief introduction, with no depth.

And Lin Su had already self-studied these introductory materials long ago.

As Lin Su entered the classroom, the students inside, who were yet to fill up the seats and quietly discussing amongst themselves before class, suddenly quieted down.

Clearly, they recognized Lin Su and were somewhat surprised to be in the same classroom for a course with him.

"Lin Su! Over here!" A familiar voice broke the silence, and Lin Su instinctively looked over, then, wearing a smile, he quickly walked toward the voice and sat next to Zhang Xiaoyu.

"I'm so relieved you're okay!" Zhang Xiaoyu let out a sigh of relief, "That day, we were planning to stay at the Co-fighting Camp and see if they had rescued you, but Instructor Xing said we had passed the Co-fighting Camp assessment and sent us all back…"

"I still saw it on the email reminder at the end of the Co-fighting Camp…" Zhang Xiaoyu paused, then suddenly recalling something, he quickly lowered his voice after scanning the surroundings, "I saw that the death rate for this year's participants was 0, and from that, I guessed you were all right."

Due to the signed confidentiality agreement, anything regarding the Co-fighting Camp's death rate could only be discussed among those who had passed it; no information could be revealed to those who had not passed or had not attended.

"Don't worry, I told you guys to leave first that day because I was certain [of my situation]," Lin Su mumbled a reply, then quickly shifted the topic, "Where are the other members of our team?"

"They are not in this classroom," Zhang Xiaoyu shook his head, "Ye Han is, like us, from the research department, but even after comparing course schedules with him, the contents are different. The other members are from the combat department; their courses differ even more from ours."

"Alright," Lin Su nodded, "What does your course schedule look like?"

"Here's mine." Zhang Xiaoyu pulled up his course schedule and showed it to Lin Su.

"Same as mine," Lin Su glanced at it and laughed, patting Zhang Xiaoyu on the shoulder.

Zhang Xiaoyu looked at the three pet beasts huddled together and whispering nearby, and smiled, "That's really great."

As they chatted, students gradually entered the classroom and took their seats one after another.

The classrooms at Mountain City University were spacious, with two desks joined together in each row and a wide aisle in the middle.

This special design allowed the pet beasts that accompanied Beast Tamers to have ample space.

In an environment where Guardian Beast Co-operation was the norm, the relationship between pet beasts and Beast Tamers was of absolute equality and companionship; this day-to-day accompaniment was also a good way to enhance the bond and co-operation index.

As the bell for the start of class rang out, a middle-aged male teacher walked into the classroom.

He first glanced at the now-full classroom, his face showing a hint of satisfaction, "Alright, let's begin our class."

As the teacher spoke these words from the podium, several freshmen stood up reflexively, causing the light clattering of chairs.

The male teacher smiled slightly at the few students who sat back down with embarrassed expressions and said, "College is not like high school; we don't have so many procedures. When I say class begins, we just begin. If you need to take care of something during the lecture, you don't need to inform me; just leave the classroom quietly to take care of it and then return."

Having said that, the middle-aged male teacher adjusted his glasses.

"Now, let's introduce myself briefly: my surname is Hong. For the next semester, I will be in charge of teaching 'An Overview of Evolution Theory of Mutant Beasts.' Now, take out your communication devices and connect to the classroom's local area network," instructed Teacher Hong, and after waiting for a moment, he operated his own teaching communicator, "Alright, the content for this class has been sent to you."

As he operated his device, every student connecting to the local network received a copy of the class material. Simultaneously, the projector screen in the classroom switched on, displaying the content in the air above the podium.

This was prepared for pet beasts interested in the course and students who had not brought communication devices. It also facilitated teaching by allowing the teacher to make annotations.

"Today, we'll start with the first lecture, 'The Birth of the Infinite Evolution Theory of Mutant Beasts'…"

Teacher Hong, without much preamble after a brief introduction of his surname, directly began the formal lesson content.

Lin Su glanced around him, quickly browsed through the course content on his communicator, and then let out a slight sigh.

It was all content he already studied.

Though he really wanted to pay attention to the lecture,
