Nothing of major importance happened as the two rulers bickered about who was better or worse. 

As they continued Lex tried swaying both parties to a calm but after every drizzle came a storm from the other party.

Toppled with the arguments of children and the fact that Shift knew something about the light caused Luther's brain to hit overdrive on making possible contingencies.

This continued until the tea ceremony bells were rung which relieved Lex in order to ease the tension between both rulers and himself. 

However, Lex's plans were spoiled as before the serving lady could attend his main focus Shift had stopped the cart before it was within five feet away of the door.

Noticing that her cover was blown Cheshire pressed a button on the cart and shoved it forward after punching Shift in the face sending him back a bit.

Red Arrow saw the punch across Shift's face and instantly shot an arrow forward hitting the cart and freezing it in place only for the ice to evaporate from the explosion of the cart.

After being punched Shift looked at Cheshire and began hand-to-hand combat with her utilizing the training from both Batman and Black Canary.

Cheshire was used to many opponents great and small and developed a style best used at countering them, but currently…

'How's he doing that?'

Shift had been copying her moves from the get-go hit after hit. Each collision be it a kick or punch with her sighs Shift would counter.

Shift after encountering Cheshire either by fights or by videos has nearly copied her fighting style as it was highly effective when against random opponents with bigger statures than themselves. 

This worried Cheshire as she had never faced an opponent with at least a similar fighting style compared to hers.

"Huh? Copycat!"

Cheshire trying to alleviate her anger and possibly distract Shift spoke in a playful turned aggressive taunt.

To her displeasure, it didn't work and Shift continued his fighting against her.

Shift first fought back with a faint of a right hook leading to a low sweep. But due to his fighting style and opponent, Cheshire saw it a mile away and preparedly jumped back.

From this action, Shift smiled under his mask unbeknownst to Cheshire and screamed from his throat.

"Now!!"

"What!?!"

Cheshire surprised looked around only to see no one was there and as she turned her head losing a once of focus a sound followed by a green glow emitted from behind her.

'Shit!"

Once Cheshire turned all she saw was her mask cracking on her face knocking her back into a wall leaving a human-sized dent.

"Impressive"

Red Arrow walked up to Shift who now assumed the form of a Petrosapian. With a tank top covering mostly green with both sides black leading down to black slacks and boots.

"Thanks. But we're not done yet."

Shift honestly thanked Roy but knew that Cheshire always had a backup up her sleeve.

*Explosion*

Shift was right as his sentence was uttered an explosion from behind alerted both heroes to find that Luther and the politicians were hit.

From the rubble, both Roy and Shift saw a piece of concrete be lifted upwards and then tossed to the side revealing a slender woman with blonde hair.

The woman was wearing a suit used mainly for a personalized secretary if not due to her ripped sleeve she would of been the perfect picture of a business worker if not for the aforementioned ripped attire and skin revealing a steel arm.

'Mercy'

Shift knew of this android as he had openly spoken to Lex about it.

Mercy after a brief glance at her surroundings locked eyes with both heroes and then to her master and used both arms to pull up several pieces of concrete revealing an uninjured Lex Luther and the other politicians of the North and South parties.

"Good. At least the politicians are safe."

"We've got other things to worry about."

The one who stepped on Roy's parade was Shift whose voice had changed to a lower tone than his usual forms as he stared forward. 

Where Red Arrows soon followed not pleased with the current sight.

"Sportsmaster."

After the explosion came the sounds of a chopping helicopter which housed Sportsmaster inside it.

Once the area was cleared he and several other assassins jumped out of the copter leaving only the pilot in control. 

In total, there surmounted a total of twenty including both Cheshire and Sportsmaster. With the former still in the wall.

To start Sportsmaster grabbed a smoke pellet from his side pocket on his belt and threw it towards both Red Arrow and Shift.

Red Arrow attempted to destroy the smoke pellet before it made contact with the ground but was stopped.

"What are you doing?!"

"Let him."

Shift had stopped Roy from firing at the pellet therefore losing the chance of stopping the black smoke from both erupting and spreading throughout the room.

Only capturing a small area around Sportsmaster himself and the wall.

Within the smoke, Sportsmaster searched for his daughter Cheshire and had found her nearing unconscious. 

Anxious as most Fathers would be at seeing their child harmed in any way. Showed a face of no emotion regarding his daughter and merely slapped her face saying one word as he drew a weapon.

"Move"

The weapon that was drawn was a small baton over his right thigh but after a simple pressing of a button at the bottom end. 

The top of the baton then shot out a steel end causing the baton to form a makeshift sword.

Once the sword was formed Sportsmaster ran for both Red Arrow and Shift hoping to get the jump on them but before he could a green emerald-like Crystal shot towards him.

Sportsmaster easily jumped out of the way but as if the crystal had a mind of its own coiled around like a serpent.

But strangely enough, the crystal avoided Sportsmaster. If the crystal hadn't coiled Sportsmaster wouldn't have noticed it.

The target was the daughter who was passed out in the wall. The green crystal had formed a chrysalis around Cheshire completely immobilizing her.

'Pathetic'

This was the word Sportsmaster recited as a mantra inside his mind creating a mental wall with that one word.

As this wall was being built inside his mind the smoke disappeared leaving the audience with a unique sight.

A Silicon-based man was standing in front of the table staring at the enemy that the populist knew only as Sportsmaster.

Lex Luther was staring at Shift with a look of altering emotions starting from wonder, acknowledgment, and then Greed for what he could do with that technology over Shift's wrist.

Roy after knocking an arrow fired one towards an assassin where upon impact imploded a net from the arrow capturing the assassin.

Roy continued to fire arrows with similar effects on the other assassins encompassing them by either knocking them out or by catching them.

This continues as both Sportsmaster and Shift face each other.

"Sporty what's the play?"

Shift trying his luck at his enemies plans asked honestly in hopes of a reaction not knowing what would be said.

"Nothing that concerns you."

Shift wasn't surprised by Sportsmasters answer and simply closed his eyes, shrugged his shoulders, and said.

"Well can't blame a guy for trying."
