Chapter 24: Chapter 22
The next morning, Hoon asked Mrs. Kim to take Masika's and her grandmother's measurements for a shopping trip and gave her a limitless black card . "Get them everything they need," he instructed. "Clothes, shoes, underwear, jewelry. Spare no expense."
Mrs. Kim nodded, her eyes shining with excitement. "I'll make sure they have everything, sir."
The grandmother asked if she could join Mrs. Kim to help with choosing clothes for Masika, and Hoon agreed. Hoon instructed six body guards to escort Mrs.Kim and his grandmother at the mall.
Meanwhile, Hoon spent the morning teaching Masika how to write in Korean. Although she had grown up speaking the language, having been born and raised by her grandmother in a Korean village, she had never attended school and didn't know how to write.
Hoon patiently guided her through the basics of writing, and Masika proved to be a quick learner. He also taught her about everyday things, like using a smartphone, navigating public transportation, and understanding social etiquette.
As they took a break, Hoon mentioned that he would arrange for one of the bodyguards to train her in self-defense at the gym. "It's essential for you to know how to protect yourself, Masika," he said seriously.
Masika nodded, her eyes wide with determination. "I want to learn, Hoon."
Hoon smiled, proud of her eagerness. "I'll arrange for the training to start tomorrow."
As Hoon left for the office, whispers about his mysterious visitors spread like wildfire. "Who are they?" people asked. "We thought he didn't have any family left."
Everyone feared Hoon, and they couldn't meet his eye as he stepped into his private elevator with his assistant and bodyguards.
At the office, Hoon assigned his personal assistant to find two trained female bodyguards for Masika and her grandmother. He then asked his assistant to bring him coffee and inquired about his schedule for the day.
His assistant told him about upcoming meetings, contract signings, and a charity gala. Hoon decided to send someone else in his place to the gala and was reminded of an upcoming business trip to Japan in four weeks.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Kim, the grandmother, and Masika were having a blast shopping. The grandmother expressed her gratitude to her grandson for treating them so kindly. Mrs. Kim was determined to spend as much as she could on the two women, using the limitless black card Hoon had given her.
As they shopped, everyone in the mall couldn't help but stare. Who were these women with six bodyguards and a black card that only five people in the world possessed? They must be daughters of rich and influential people.
But Mrs. Kim didn't care about the whispers and stares. She was on a mission to spoil Masika and her grandmother rotten, and she wouldn't stop until they had everything they needed.
