Bleach: Time Based Shinigami

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Check-in Location: Urahara Shop [200 P.S Bonus]

A glimmer of delight appeared on Shimo's face.

"So the system finally released a new check-in task."

Ever since completing the Kidō class check-in task, he hadn't received another system mission. That left him with no choice but to rely solely on constant training to grow stronger.

Thankfully, his innate talent was exceptional, and he never truly stalled in his training.

"But to link the task to this…"

Staring at the mission interface, Shimo fell into thought.

"Does this mean I have to achieve Shikai inside the Urahara Shop?"

"That… feels a bit rude, doesn't it?"

He quickly dismissed the thought with a smirk.

"All for the sake of getting stronger."

Refocusing his energy, Shimo continued searching for the shop. Along the way, whenever he encountered a wandering Plus, he would smoothly perform a konsō.

Letting souls linger in the Human World was dangerous—for everyone.

Shimo only had a vague impression of the shop's location in his memory.

And relying on that faint notion to locate the Urahara Shop was no easy feat.

Especially since Urahara Kisuke, for the safety of himself and those around him, had cloaked the place in a powerful concealment barrier.

That made the search even harder.

"Looks like I'll need help from... other sources."

Releasing his spiritual perception, Shimo extended his senses into the air, feeling for the flow of spirit particles.

"Seven o'clock… there's a clash between a Shinigami and a Hollow!"

The moment the words left his mouth, Shimo had already vanished from sight.

Spiritual pressure surged—Shunpo at full throttle.

He raced toward the site of the battle.

Upon arrival, he discovered a one-sided scene.

The senior Shin'ō Academy student was faring terribly.

The opponent: a massive ape-like Hollow, a gaping hole in its chest and muscular arms flailing wildly, generating fierce shockwaves with each swing.

The student, far weaker in spiritual pressure, was barely holding on by using his speed to dodge. From Shimo's perspective, it was painful to watch.

Crude swordsmanship. Shunpo slower than a crawling turtle.

The fact that the guy hadn't been flattened yet was nothing short of miraculous.

"Senpai, do you need backup?"

Unlike Kyōraku Shunsui, who liked to barge into people's fights for fun, Shimo preferred to respect his allies during battle.

Hearing another voice, the senior student lit up with relief and immediately called out:

"P-Please! I'd really appreciate the help!"

Shimo raised a brow—this guy was surprisingly polite, considering he was about to be gorilla-punched into the pavement.

Well, Shimo had no problem helping someone like that.

"Bakudō #9: Geki!"

He thrust out his palm, crimson script glowing across it as Kidō energy surged forth.

A beam of red light shot toward the Hollow.

The ape-like creature didn't even flinch. It scoffed and raised a hand the size of a millstone to swat it away.

"This one's mine for now," Shimo said calmly, stepping toward the battlefield. "Go find Lieutenant Ise. She'll assist you."

Before he even finished speaking, the red beam curved unnaturally, slipping past the Hollow's massive arm and wrapping directly around its thick neck.

"ROOOAAARR!!"

The Hollow let out a howl of terror, clawing frantically at its throat in a futile attempt to free itself from the binding Kidō.

The senior student had recognized Shimo the moment he arrived—after all, the emblem of the Kyōraku family was hard to miss.

Rumor had it this outstanding student had deep ties to Captain Kyōraku of Eight Division.

With that in mind, there was no need to fret about the power gap between them.

"Thank you!" he called once more, then quickly retreated from the battlefield.

Shimo sensed his spiritual pressure fading into the distance and gave a slight nod, then looked at the struggling Hollow with satisfaction.

"My first helper."

As Shimo approached, the Hollow was seized by a creeping sense of despair.

"I need you to help me find a certain shop."

Shimo described the unique characteristics of the Urahara Shop in calm detail.

"When you locate it, the Bakudō on your neck will be released."

"Understood?"

There was no emotion in his voice—only cold tone.

The ape-like Hollow stared at him, petrified, as if facing a demon from Hell. But after hearing the instructions, it nodded rapidly.

The binding spell around its neck posed a very real threat to its existence.

Shimo waved his hand. "Go. I'll be tracking the position of the seal."

"When you find the shop, just stay put and don't move."

The Hollow fled in pure panic.

"One helper isn't enough."

Shimo resumed his search for more Hollows. Compared to finding Urahara's shop, tracking down these monsters was child's play.

He repeated the process, recruiting more 'assistants'—and in doing so, greatly increased his efficiency.

Now sitting cross-legged atop a tall building, Shimo focused on sensing the signals from his Bakudō seals.

Time flowed by.

When he finally felt multiple seals vanish simultaneously from the same location, a faint smile crept across his face.

"Found you, Urahara Kisuke."
