Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200% Rebate System

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Not Real?

"Aurora I am not a scammer, just do as I say..." The melodious voice sounded anxious.

Aurora rolled her eyes,

"Do you truly think I am a dumb girl? If you want to give me money, why wait till I spend it on family members? You give me money first and I will spend it on my family later!"

"That is not how the rebate system works!" The voice said in an anxious voice, though her voice sounded somewhat distant now.

"Oh yeah? Then, I am uninterested!" Aurora said firmly.

"Aurora! You have to visit the website! If you don't you will forget all the dreams by tomorrow!" The voice sounded genuinely anxious.

The white mist faded, and unlike before, Aurora was startled awake. It was already 8 pm in the evening.

Hm...what did the white mist have said to her? Visit the website. What was the website? Uh, it was 200 something. It also had the word rebate.

Rubbing her eyes, Aurora made a beeline to the desktop. However, Lucas was using it to complete his college project.

"Brother I only need it for 2 minutes."

Lucas raised an eyebrow, amusement in his eyes,

"The last time you said this line, you played games on the desktop for the next 2 hours."

Aurora: "..." So hateful.

"Brother~ Please! Please handsome brother~ Just this once~"

Lucas smirked,

"I will be more pleased if you call me CEO Lucas."

Aurora shook her head with a firm expression,

"Brother, you should get rid of your habit of acting like a CEO."

Lucas not taking Aurora's word seriously stood up, ruffled her hair, and said,

"You won't understand. One day, I will become a CEO, with a net worth of $100 million dollars!"

"Or maybe a scammer who scams others," Aurora muttered.

Lucas smirked, his confident aura evident as he left. Aurora rolled her eyes and turned her attention to the desktop.

"Uh...what was it...200...200rebate.com, right? No...no, it was rebate200.com."

After a lot of trial and error, Aurora gave up. Thinking about the warning, she decided to leave a way out for herself.

If she was truly going to forget everything, it's better to tell her family about their future.

As a backup, Aurora wrote down the dreams in a diary.

All of her siblings and her parents were present at the dining table. Just as Aurora was about to start, Lucas asked Adam,

"Father, the landlord called today. He wants to raise the rent."

"Again? We should sue him. Just last year, he had raised it to $1010 by now." Adam frowned.

An embarrassed expression appeared on Lucas's face, as he informed,

"Father, we can't sue him. He is just increasing the rent by 5%, and the law agrees with such behavior."

The weight of his words hung heavily on everyone. The food, which just a few seconds ago felt delicious, now felt like wax, tasteless and chewy.

Adam's monthly salary was just $4000. With that meager amount, he could only afford to pay off rent, electricity bills, and groceries and save up some for the kid's fees.

Lucas and Adriana with their excellent grades were able to secure scholarships. They also did some part-time job to help Adam.

Theodore and Olivia saved every ounce of money they could, while Mary, Adam's wife did have some academic achievements, it wasn't enough to land her a good job.

She was a junior librarian and her monthly salary was just $3000. With her money, Mary bought clothes, stationery supplies, and other essentials for her kids.

A raise of 50.5 dollars wasn't a big deal for others, but to the Waters family, it was a lot.

Each of the family members had a thoughtful yet gloomy look on their face. Only Aurora looked as if she remembered something very important.

'The website...it was 200%rebate.com!' Aurora thought.

She hurriedly finished her dinner, washed her hands, and made a beeline toward the desktop.

Word by word, she typed out the website's name, before pressing the button, Aurora closed her eyes and clasped her hand together.

'Please god! Please let it not be one of my imaginations.'

Though Aurora knew her dreams weren't imagination or just dreams, due to how real and detailed they were, a part of her still didn't believe in the dreams completely.

'I wish, this 200%rebate.com website existed and I wish, it could be a ray of light in our life.'
