chapter 15
Kwon Young-jae’s rut vacation was conducted in utmost secrecy. On the surface, it was an overseas business trip, and his only companion was his personal secretary. The truth was only reported to the chairman.
Hee-won had been extremely busy the past few days. Checking on Executive Director Kwon’s condition, readjusting his tight schedule, and secretly preparing for the rut, he had barely enough time for 24 hours.
Hee-won was finally able to catch his breath when he got on the plane. Hee-won unconsciously twitched the corners of his mouth as he took off his jacket. He had been on frequent overseas business trips with Executive Director Kwon, but today he felt different. Should I say he was excited?
“Director, take some medicine.”
Before takeoff, he handed Kwon Young-jae some pills. Since the flight was at least 13 hours long, he needed to take a depressant just in case.
“…….”
Kwon Young-jae, who was working on the plane, glanced to the side and obediently took the pills he was given. He chewed the bitter pills without even drinking water.
Professor Hong prescribed only the minimum amount of suppressants considering Kwon Young-jae’s physical condition. And the pill he just took was the last one.
Kwon Young-jae couldn’t raise his eyebrows easily because the bitter taste didn’t go away. He turned his head with a frown.
“Why are you smiling like this since a while ago? Secretary Kim, are you in a good mood?”
“No way. I’m always smiling, don’t you know that, Executive Director?”
“…….”
“Should I ask you to bring me some water?”
He asked as affectionately as he ◈ Nоvеlіgһт ◈ (Continue reading) could, but all he got in return was a contemptuous gaze. Even that was an impassable barrier created by the partition Kwon Young-jae had put up.
Hee-won straightened up without paying any attention. The first-class seats, which were no different from beds, were comfortable enough to stretch out your legs with plenty of space. Just then, a flight attendant came over and offered me a glass of cool champagne.
How could I not be excited? Such a perfect vacation had come.
Vacation.
Yes. Kwon Young-jae’s week of rut was soon Kim Hee-won’s vacation.
Executive Director Kwon, who was obsessed with work, was such a vicious person that he suppressed his rut with drugs, that even I, his secretary, couldn’t remember ever getting a proper rest. This long vacation, which he had had for the first time in six years, was like a sweet reward to Hee-won.
He wouldn’t come looking for me while I was on rut. Of course, that should never happen.
He was even more confident because he had made all the preparations. Hee-won smiled as he drank champagne. He somehow had a feeling that it would be a perfect week.
The weather in Boston, which he had visited after a long time, was unusually harsh. Snowflakes were flying with strong winds, and by the time he arrived at the hotel, it had turned into a heavy snowfall.
Fortunately, he was only staying at the hotel. Watching the seemingly romantic snowfall for a moment, Hee-won walked diligently.
The room where Executive Director Kwon would stay was a residential suite. The bedroom, which was the size of a small apartment, was the most representative feature of this room. Also, as a room for long-term guests, it had a kitchen where cooking was possible, a study, and a large conference room, providing a perfect living space.
Hee-won slowly looked around the room and checked the condition of the room. Perhaps because it was an expensive hotel, everything was good without anything to criticize.
There were five guest rooms in the room, but Kim Hee-won did not stay there. I think Executive Director Kwon would use the remaining rooms as well. He would have sex all day long when he was in heat.
Honestly, I was not curious about that at all. Hee-won, as always, strictly kept the line and focused on his work.
After finishing one inspection, he came out to the reception room with a tablet PC and a syringe pouch. Kwon Young-je was already sitting there. What was so unpleasant about it? His crossed arms were extremely bad.
“Director. Is it okay if you don’t eat?”
“No worries.”
He was half-hearted about eating the in-flight meal, but now he was drinking high-proof whiskey.
Hee-won worried for a moment that he might lose his temper, but soon looked away. Hee-won could completely understand Director Kwon’s upset mood. How could someone who was about to have unwanted sex be happy?
Hee-won sat on the sofa across from him and continued his report.
“All the clothes you’ll change into have been put in the dressing room. Meals will be served three times a day at your guest room door. They’ll take them away if you don’t eat. I confirmed that there are plenty of water and towels.”
“…….”
“I asked that the room be cleaned only upon request. I strongly requested that no one disturb you without notice, so you don’t have to worry.”
Hee-won mentioned each of the things written on the pad. Then, when he suddenly raised his head, his eyes met with Kwon Young-jae, who was leaning over him and staring at him intently.
When he looked directly into his deeply sunken eyes, he suddenly became speechless. Hee-won paused for a moment and moved his stiff tongue with difficulty.
“Is there anything that needs to be corrected?”
“No.”
Kwon Young-jae spun the glass in his hand. The sharp ice cubes hit the glass, making a clear, crisp sound. He fixed his gaze on Hee-won and brought the glass to his lips.
“Just. Because I thought you were doing a good job.”
He took a sip of whiskey with those words. Hee-won swallowed hard as his throat moved up and down. Why are you acting like that? I feel even more anxious when you compliment me.
Hee-won broke the awkward atmosphere by coughing softly. Hee-won opened the pouch he had brought with him. The syringes were lined up in a row. The one on the far left, with a red sticker, was the rut accelerator.
The syringe, which looked like a thick ballpoint pen, was an auto-injector that automatically inserted a needle and injected the medicine when a button was pressed. When he handed it to Kwon Young-jae, he put down his glass and started to inject himself.
Hee-won waited quietly in front of him. In about three or four hours, Kwon Young-jae would be completely in rut. Perhaps because it was an event he had never experienced since becoming his personal secretary, he was a little nervous.
Kwon Young-jae threw the used syringe into the trash can. Seeing him sink into the sofa, Hee-won came closer and straightened up his shirt sleeve that had been pulled up in a mess.
“Your partner will be visiting in two hours. Would you like to see a photo?”
“I thought you said you weren’t interested.”
The reply he received was prickly. Hee-won quietly bit her lips.
No, but still… You’re the one who’s going to roll around and rub shoulders with me, but you’re not interested? Is this really okay?
Director Kwon left all the work related to this rut to me. Finding a rut partner was the same.
He only asked for two things.
It had to be a beta, no matter what. And it had to be a man.
He didn’t particularly prefer sex with men. Kwon Young-jae simply took the safe route to eliminate the possibility of pregnancy.
But you can’t just pick anyone. Hee-won knew the special aesthetics of the person he was serving, so he did his best to select a partner.
To put it bluntly, if he pushed in a really bad beta as his partner, he would definitely get all sorts of criticism later.
Hee-won straightened his back. He put the pouch containing the syringe in a neat pile and put it on the shelf under the tea table, and checked Kwon Young-jae’s condition one last time.
The dry expression was that of Director Kwon, who he had always seen. It still took some time for the rut to start. Hee-won took a short breath.
“Director, I’ll be going now.”
“Secretary Kim.”
“Yes?”
“Did you say you were staying downstairs?”
He asked casually. His tone became a little more languid than before.
“Yes.”
“You’ve never rested this long, have you?”
Well… you’ve been busy. He heard her mumbling as if talking to herself. Hee-won seemed to sense her excitement, so he straightened his expression.
“I don’t really have any plans to rest. I’ll be on standby at all times, so please contact me whenever you need me.”
A breathy laugh erupted. Kwon Young-je knew that it was just empty talk. Just as Secretary Kim knew Kwon Young-je well, he knew Kim Hee-won well.
He drank his drink without looking anywhere else.
“Have a nice vacation. I hope I don’t have to contact you.”
“Get some rest.”
Hee-won bowed politely and greeted her. She quietly left the room, trying not to upset Director Kwon as much as possible. Hoo, a sigh escaped her lips as soon as she closed the door.
Now all she had to do was wait for her Rut partner to arrive. Hee-won checked his watch once and headed straight to the lobby floor without taking a break.
