Chapter 13: Struggle 3
After entering the first Gateway, John found himself in a dimension of endless white desert, beneath an eternal night sky—unchanging and devoid of stars. Only a white crescent moon remained, eternally illuminating the dimension with its gentle glow.
Like in the first dimension, John began searching for the Teleportation Point. With the help of his magic, he scoured the boundless land for nearly a billion years, covering an area of ??? Before finally finding it.
The Teleportation Points all looked the same—the same massive black barrier, the same endless void, the same gateway. The only difference between them was the Gate Boss guarding each one. Every Teleportation Point had its own unique Gate Boss; some had one, and others had many. Some even had an infinite number, spawning endlessly no matter how many were defeated. These were labeled "unconquerable," for each time a Gate Boss was slain, the Teleportation Point would spawn even more, their numbers increasing infinitely.
John entered the Teleportation Point, defeated the Gate Boss, and moved on to the next dimension, repeating the process. His journey was smooth sailing until the 50th Teleportation Point.
The 50th Gate Boss had a tricky ability—it sealed all powers except those related to physical strength. At that time, John's physical strength was nonexistent, so he postponed his entry and began training, doing everything to recreate his true strength which was currently sealed.
He succeeded. He managed to recreate his past strength, making his current self equal to who he once was. However, despite regaining his power, he never managed to break even a single seal that locked away his true abilities, leaving him to wonder how they could be unsealed.
After that, he entered, challenged the boss, and defeated it with ease.
Another eon passed, and John successfully cleared the 99th Teleportation Point. Now, he was on his way to the last one.
In an endless space where gravity was nonexistent, silence stretched infinitely in every direction. Suspended within this abyss were countless cubes of varying sizes, each emitting a soft, ethereal glow. Their luminescence pulsed gently, shifting between hues of pale blue, violet, and silver, casting faint, overlapping halos of light. The cubes drifted slowly as if carried by unseen currents, their movements eerily smooth and deliberate.
Despite the emptiness, there was an undeniable presence—an enigmatic intelligence lurking just beyond perception. When one approached a cube, its glow subtly intensified, as if acknowledging the observer, before dimming again as they moved away. Some of the larger structures clustered together, forming strange, floating architectures—fragmented pathways, hollow corridors, and open chambers that invited exploration yet held no clear purpose. The smallest cube here rivaled the size of the entire universe, while the largest was ??? in scale. Each cube had its atmosphere and gravity, and within them lay endless spaces brimming with stars and worlds.
The void itself was neither warm nor cold, and time felt irrelevant—its passage impossible to measure. The only constants were the silent drift of the luminous cubes and the soft, ambient glow that bathed this dimension in eternal, dreamlike stillness.
Amidst this dimension, John stood upon one of the countless cubes, gazing at the massive black barrier stretching across a diameter of 1 trillion infinity. The transparent floor extended endlessly to the horizon. Below, in the depths, lay a majestic sea of endless stars, each containing a world rivaling the vastness of all existence.
Above, in the eternal darkness of the sky, loomed countless cubes of unimaginable scale, occupying most of the heavens and forming a beautiful yet mystical scene.
John continued forward, indifferent to the breathtaking scenery before him.
Upon entering the final Teleportation Point, John was greeted by an endless void and an unimaginably massive Gateway. Far behind it, something even larger loomed—a colossal, transparent egg with a diameter of ???. At its center swirled a golden galaxy shaped like an eye, glowing in a mesmerizing blend of blue and gold. Surrounding the egg was a vast expanse of stardust, forming a galaxy that radiated outward, its transparency diffusing into the void.
The moment John laid eyes on the Egg, he knew—it was the Gate Boss. And it was unfathomably powerful. In that instant, he understood that facing this entity would cost him dearly.
Observing closely, he noticed that the Gateway was already open. Confused at first, his questions were soon answered by an enigmatic voice that reverberated throughout the void. Looking around, John realized the voice came from the Egg itself.
An intelligent Gate Boss.
Bad news.
A Gate Boss with intellect signified an incomprehensible rank and power. These beings were the kings among Gate Bosses—entities that could obliterate existence itself simply by existing. They were never meant to exist. They were a threat to everything.
John couldn't feel the Egg's presence at all, a realization that sent cold sweat trickling down his forehead. His nerves tensed, yet even as his spirit wavered, he stood firm, ready to face the unfathomable battle ahead.
"Face my aura. After that, you may proceed."
The Egg's presence finally revealed itself.
Boundless pressure, passively radiating from its presence alone, crashed down upon John's very being. Confronting it head-on, he sacrificed his current strength just to withstand it. The aura was absolute—anyone who faced it had their powers permanently erased.
The confrontation lasted a second.
Then, the Egg acknowledged John and allowed him to use the Gateway.
He activated the portal and saw that Last was activated and he could get out of this endless space.
A blinding light engulfed his vision.
When it faded, John stood before the Massive Gate of the Old World. The towering wall stretched endlessly in both directions, and the sky was illuminated by the sun. Behind him lay the Multi-Layer Dimensional Barrier.
John gazed beyond the gate.
A vast, beautiful ocean awaited.
