Chapter 106: Chapter 106 – Not Enough Seats!
At the dormitory of St. Freya Academy, tonight's dinner atmosphere was... strange, to say the least.
With C.C.—one of the other major contenders—absent, nearly everyone's attention was focused squarely on Nagami.
Why else do you think he deliberately sent C.C. to find Welt at this time?
If C.C. were here right now, the situation at the dorm would have become even more chaotic—possibly escalating from a three-way standoff to a full-on "Seven Kingdoms War."
At the rectangular dining table, a group of beautiful girls with distinct personalities sat gracefully around, the soft light casting a faint glow on their exquisite, delicate faces.
Strictly speaking, this was an incredibly wonderful sight: living under the same roof and having dinner every day with several of the top-tier beauties of St. Freya Academy.
What's more, three of them were identical white-haired beauties.
For any man, this was like a dream come true.
But Nagami... he'd purposefully chosen to sit at the far end of the table, right at the corner.
He actually wanted to enjoy his meal in peace, without the carefully prepared dishes of the Herrscher of Rice being ruined by drama.
And of course—to avoid being torn apart.
After all, there were only two seats beside him.
Kiana, Bronya, Rita, Mei...
Only two seats? That's not nearly enough!
Still wearing that silly, clueless look as usual, Kiana had clearly noticed something was wrong ever since Bronya arrived.
Each time she instinctively reached out to cling to Nagami's arm, she was stopped—either by her best friend Mei or by this world's version of Sirin from the parallel world.
And it wasn't just Kiana.
The cold, suffocating aura radiating from the other girls felt like a snowstorm from a frozen mountain—enough to make anyone shudder from just a glance.
Lying lazily on the table, Himeko silently observed the scene.
A love battlefield in St. Freya Academy—especially one dominated by a guy—was a rare spectacle indeed.
So rare, in fact, that Himeko had completely forgotten to care about the whole parallel world nonsense.
It wasn't because that story wasn't shocking enough—it was just that Himeko didn't believe a single word of it.
Following the unspoken rule of "If I can't have him, you can't either", the silent battle between the three white-haired girls and the cook of the house ended with Bronya and Rita claiming the seats closest to Nagami.
Bronya held a steaming cup of milk in both hands, sipping it gently with soft, adorable gulping sounds.
Little by little, she finished the entire cup.
A faint trace of milk lingered on her lips, and with a blank expression, she stuck out her pink tongue to lick the corner of her mouth.
Lately, she and Nagami had been grinding ranked matches hard, aiming for the top of the server.
A little extra nutrition was absolutely necessary.
Across the table sat Rita, her flawless fair skin almost glowing as she lightly sipped her tea.
Her moist crimson lips glimmered under the light, her smile blooming like spring flowers.
Her pure black maid outfit perfectly complemented the curves of her chest.
Beneath her flower-like skirt, one long leg was elegantly wrapped in black stockings, while the other remained smooth and bare like polished jade.
Her gaze flicked lazily between the three white-haired girls and Mei, completely in spectator mode.
"I'm full. You guys take your time—I'm heading back to my room," Rita said gracefully.
Casting a subtle 'to be continued' glance at Bronya, Nagami took the opportunity and ran for his room without looking back.
His Ripple Dash had reached perfection!
Nagami had wanted to trick the heiress Kiana into going back to the Honkai Gakuen 2 world first, but she firmly refused.
After all, the parallel world's intel wasn't fully gathered yet.
She still needed to look for ways to fight against the Honkai—or at least gain experience in this world.
Besides, during her time away, the flow of time in Honkai Gakuen 2 was basically frozen.
It was the perfect chance for her to grow stronger.
She'd worked hard to save the points needed for the crossing, it wasn't something she could casually afford again anytime soon.
And, most importantly... how could the heiress possibly leave when both tuna Kiana and this world true Kiana were sticking to Nagami and C.C. like glue?
With her luck, by the time she saved up enough points to return, Nagami would've been completely devoured—body, heart, and soul!
"Sigh... Ah Nagami! I'm done eating too—let's go play games together!" Kiana cheerfully put down her bowl and wiped her hands.
She had no idea why the mood was so strange tonight, but as always, she just followed her instincts.
Deep down, she wasn't sure why, but her instincts screamed at her to stay close to Nagami while these two Sirins from different worlds were around—or something might happen that she'd regret forever!
"Kiana, you haven't finished your homework yet. No games!" Mei firmly grabbed the girl who was trying to dash toward Nagami, radiating the overwhelming presence of the Herrscher of Rice.
Without question—this was abuse of authority!
Letting the overly-touchy Kiana hang around Nagami was simply too dangerous.
There was no way Mei would allow that to happen.
Raiden Mei, nicely done!
A flicker of surprise flashed through two pairs of identical icy-blue eyes.
But as they sensed the exact same thought coming from each other, both girls suddenly froze.
Heiress Kiana and her other self exchanged glances—then fell into an awkward silence.
Their expressions grew... complicated.
"Ugh... alternate universe me is such a pain!" ×2
...
"Why is there such a ridiculous mechanism between counterparts like this?!" ×2
"No, It's not that I don't want to play with you," Nagami said with an exaggerated sigh, shrugging helplessly at Kiana.
With a loud bang, he shut his room door.
Honestly speaking, he really didn't want to play games with Kiana right now.
Sure, as a Valkyrie, Kiana's reflexes were far beyond that of ordinary humans.
In gaming terms, her reaction speed alone made her top-tier among casual players—letting her stomp on normal gamers without breaking a sweat.
But in terms of real skill?
Whether it was Kiana, Heiress Kiana, or even Mei... they were still way below the level of him and Bronya.
Not even close.
It's not like Nagami was the kind of cold gamer who ignored his girlfriend's feelings just to play... but come on—if you had the chance to game with a cute, expressionless little loli who smelled faintly of milk... and your teamwork was perfect...
Was there even a choice to make?
Bronya—second best in the world.
First place, obviously... was himself!
"I'm full too. I'll head back to my room," True Kiana said softly, giving the girls a gentle nod and flashing a small smile.
She gracefully walked to the sofa, picked up the poetry collection she'd been reading halfway, and headed back to her room with tiny, elegant steps.
"Oh right—Mei, when you clean up later, be sure to call me. As the newcomer here, I shouldn't just rely on everyone to take care of me," True Kiana added playfully, turning her head with a wink and holding up one pale finger.
Her voice was low, smooth, and soft.
Before Mei could respond, the smiling girl simply nodded to herself and quietly slipped into her room, gently closing the door behind her.
'Tch!'
The heiress Kiana—whose mind was linked with her others self from this world 's—saw right through her little act.
Now that True Kiana had marked Mei as an enemy, she was clearly probing for information.
Even though Otto's files had carefully detailed every girl's personality and quirks, True Kiana felt that seeing for herself was much more reliable.
She wanted to carefully observe Mei... and if the chance came, maybe do something about her.
That sneaky fox!
"I'll be going to my room as well," Heiress Kiana said politely, bowing gracefully before leaving the table with her elegant, silk-stockinged legs.
The others exchanged glances with mixed expressions.
Himeko set down her bowl with a blank face, rubbing her slightly bulging stomach and silently crying inside.
This damned drama-filled dinner... somehow made her eat way too much without even noticing!
'Sigh... whatever. I'll just tell Theresa tomorrow.'
Though she didn't forget the importance of the three white-haired girls acting weird all at once, Auntie Himeko was still a responsible Valkyrie, after all!
Once everyone had left the table, Raiden Mei skillfully tied on her apron and started cleaning the dishes.
Of course, she wasn't about to call "Sirin" for help.
As the Herrscher of Rice, there was no way she'd let some suspicious outsider into her precious kitchen.
But she didn't refuse Rita's offer to assist.
After all, Rita was—at least on the surface—C.C.'s maid and shouldn't pose much of a threat.
Night deepened, and time quietly slipped by.
A figure with long green hair peeked around the corner, her slim waist bent slightly, both hands holding the doorframe as she carefully peeked into the living room.
Empty.
In a flash of movement, C.C. slipped back into her room, having just returned from Welt's place.
(And no—"her room" here didn't mean Nagami's, unfortunately.)
Nagami and Bronya were still deep in their late-night gaming grind.
After all... if you don't stay up gaming when you're young, you definitely won't be able to when you're old.
Just a few minutes after C.C.'s sneaky return...
The heiress Kiana quietly opened her door.
Glancing around warily, she tiptoed down the hall and gently knocked on tuna Kiana's door—as if guarding against something.
As soon as Kiana opened the door, the heiress covered her mouth at lightning speed and dragged her into the room before the girl could say a word.
Casting a cautious glance at her other self's door, the heiress slowly, silently closed hers.
