CHRONICLES OF THE MAGIC USER'S THE AWAKENING

Chapter 22: CHAPTER 22: THE DIMENSIONAL PRISON

In the Headquarters of The Combat Magic Core, panic reigned among the seven council members as reports from the Enforcers flooded in.

"This is insanity! We lost over one hundred thousand five hundred Enforcers!" one council member exclaimed, Lacon, a tall figure cloaked in dark fabric that swayed ominously behind him.

"Calm yourself, Lacon," another council member, Venta, interjected, her voice smooth yet commanding. "We must strategize; we cannot afford to panic. The enemy is clearly more formidable than we anticipated."

"What do you propose we do?" Lacon snapped back, frustration bubbling over. "They've already proven they can take down our forces without breaking a sweat!"

"The first step is to identify their strengths," Venta suggested, her eyes narrowing in thought. "We must analyze the abilities of Simon, Joss, Jenson, and the others. They are the heart of the resistance, and we need to exploit any weaknesses."

"But they've already defeated our strongest Enforcers! How can we even hope to stop them?" Lacon challenged, his voice rising in pitch.

"By using their own strengths against them," Venta replied, determination growing in her tone. "We will create a dimensional prison, a place where their powers are nullified. We can lure them in with a false sense of security, then trap them once and for all."

The room fell silent as the other council members mulled over Venta's proposal. Finally, Zeron, an older council member with a long white beard, spoke up. "That could work, but we need a diversion. We need to draw their attention away from the prison while we set the trap."

"I can create a distraction," Lacon interjected, a wicked idea gleaming in his eyes. "I'll lead a small force to attack Celestian directly. They won't be able to resist coming to the aid of their beloved city."

"While you do that, we will set the prison," Venta instructed, nodding approvingly. "We'll need to ensure the dimensional barriers are reinforced to contain their powers. If successful, we can finally eliminate our biggest obstacles—Simon, Joss, and Jenson. Once we capture the three of them, we won't need to worry about the rest."

As they finalized their plans, a dark cloud of foreboding lingered in the air. Each council member felt the weight of their decisions, knowing that the coming days would determine the fate of their organization and the world.

Back in Celestian, the atmosphere was tense with anticipation as they prepared for the impending threat. They gathered in a hidden chamber beneath the capital, the walls adorned with ancient runes that glowed faintly in the dim light.

"Jamia stepped forward, her face grim. "We've intercepted some messages. They're planning to attack Celestian directly."

"We have no other choice; we have to take this threat head-on," Simon said, determination radiating from his voice.

As they reached the front lines, the battle commenced. Amidst the chaos, Lacon and his Enforcers managed to slip through, approaching the hidden dimensional prison. With cunning precision, they activated the trap, weaving the barriers that would contain the powers of Simon, Joss, and Jenson.

"Now, we wait," Lacon sneered, his eyes glinting with malice. "They won't know what hit them."

Meanwhile, Maxwell, Tanya, and the others fought valiantly, but as the battle intensified, they began to notice the sudden absence of their allies. Confusion rippled through their ranks.

"Where did the others go?" Jenson shouted, his brow furrowed in concern.

"They're likely trying to hold back the Enforcers! We need to help them!" Maxwell urged, his heart racing.

As they fought their way through the throngs of Enforcers, they felt a strange pull, a dark energy drawing them closer to the prison. Before they could react, the dimensional barrier snapped into place, sealing them inside.

Panic surged among the group as they realized their predicament. The air crackled with energy, and they felt their powers wane; the very magic that had once fueled them was now shackled behind the walls of the prison.

"What have they done?" Tanya gasped, her voice filled with dread.

"We've been lured into a trap," Jenson replied, his heart pounding. "We need to find a way out!"

As they struggled against the power-suppressing barriers, Lacon and the other members of the Combat Magic Core watched from the shadows, their laughter echoing through the prison.

"Fools! You thought you could defy us?" Lacon taunted, relishing their despair. "Now you'll witness the true power of the Combat Magic Core!"

However, amidst the chaos, Maxwell and Tanya managed to slip through a crack in the dimensional barrier, their hearts pounding. "Go protect our son little James," Jensen and Joss said in unison, then they disappeared along with Simon, sealed in the dimensional prison.

With tears in their eyes, they teleported back to Celestian, leaving behind their allies trapped in a prison of their enemies' making.

As Maxwell and Tanya informed Lady Jamia about what happened, tears fell from her eyes for her son Jenson and her daughter-in-law Joss and for Simon.

"Lady Jamia, why don't you just ask Yontin for help?" Tanya asked.

"No! I can't. Sir Yontin has done so much for me and my family. I can't ask him to do anymore; besides, he has his own family now," Jamia said with a sigh.

"So, what do we do then? Should we just do nothing?" Maxwell asked, mashing his teeth.

Jamia stood atop the remnants of Celestian, where once vibrant colors painted the sky, now replaced by a dull gray. "For now, we do nothing. Help me rebuild Celestian, and when the time is right, we will take down the Combat Magic Core," she declared, her voice laced with determination and fiery resolve.

Beside her, Maxwell nodded, his jaw clenched. "We will not forget our friends. They are counting on us to be their strength from the outside." His unwavering spirit echoed in the hearts of those gathered around them.

Jamia turned her gaze wistfully to the small figure playing in the distance—it was little James, he was three, blissfully unaware of the looming shadows. "We need to keep him safe," she murmured, sorrow creeping into her voice. "I think it would be best to find someone else to raise him. If they come after me, he may be in danger."

Tears glistened in her eyes as she continued, "I'll erase his memories of me. But know this—I will always be watching over him from a distance."

Tanya placed a hand on her shoulder, offering comfort in her moment of vulnerability. "We owe it to Jenson, Joss, and Simon," he reminded her. "The dimensional prison may hold them now, but it cannot hold them forever."

With renewed purpose, they rallied the citizens of Celestian, igniting a spirit of resistance that had long been dormant. Together, they would forge new alliances and strengthen their defenses, preparing for the day they would strike back against the Combat Magic Core.

As the Council celebrated their perceived victory, the winds of change howled on the horizon, heralding the rise of a united force ready to reclaim their home.

The Next god of universal travel.

In the dimensional prison, Simon was

separated from Jenson and Joss.

Then suddenly a figure grabbed, Simon and pulled him out of the dimensional prison.

"Welcome colleague! We have been, waiting so long to meet you". A voice said.

"Where am I? Who are you? What is this place?" Simon bombarded him with questions, panic brewing.

"You are in the realm of the gods. I am Meco the god of time, and you, Simon Good-heart, are destined to become the next god of universal travel," he proclaimed.

"But my sister and brother-in-law, Jenson and Joss—they're trapped! I need to help them!" Simon protested, his voice rising with desperation.

"Calm yourself. They will be fine. Soon, they will be free," Meco reassured, guiding Simon into a lavish chamber filled with celestial beings.

As the doors closed behind him, Simon felt a mixture of hope and dread. Would he truly have the power to save his family? The weight of destiny pressed heavily on his shoulders.
