Convenience Store Manager: Ran entered at the Start

Chapter 8: "Selling Firearms?!"

Ding—!

[Due to the host's effective management, the convenience store has been upgraded from LV2 to

LV3.]

Akira had just stepped out of the Poirot Café when the pleasant chime echoed in his mind.

"Another level up?!"

Winter Tsuki and Nakazumi Yui were really doing a great job.

At that moment…

He glanced at his convenience store's interface. Below his avatar in the top left corner, his

experience points had changed to [1000/100000].

Akira counted carefully.

Yep, no mistake.

To level up again, his store now needed a whopping 100,000 experience points.

In other words…

If he kept selling small items, he'd need to sell 100,000 of them. For larger items, he'd still need

10,000 sales to push CLOVER Convenience Store to its next evolution.

[Open product list!]

Out of habit, Akira scrolled all the way to the bottom.

And—holy crap!

He wasn't expecting much, but what he saw nearly made him jump.

[Glock 17 9mm Pistol]

A pistol?!

Akira never imagined that the system would drop something this intense.

He focused his mind on the [Glock 17 9mm Pistol], and instantly, a detailed info panel popped up:

Caliber: 9mmAmmunition: 9×19mm ParabellumWeight: 910g (loaded)Overall length:

204mmBarrel length: 114mmEffective range: 50 metersPurchase price: 1 yenRetail price: ???

Experience gained per sale: 10,000Stock: Unlimited

Akira stared at the information, completely stunned.

The retail price…

That meant the [Glock 17 9mm Pistol] wasn't some kind of system reward—it was an actual item

available for sale in his store.

Was this something he could just casually put on the shelves?!

If he clicked [List Item for Sale] right now, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department would

probably surround CLOVER Convenience Store before sunrise.

[Buy!]

The moment Akira picked up the Glock 17, he felt its solid weight in his hand.

The 1 yen purchase price was the lowest in his inventory. The system hadn't even set a suggested

retail price. Plus, each sale would bring in a huge amount of experience points.

Put all of that together, and this was the perfect example of high risk, high reward.

But…

How the hell was he supposed to sell this?

Beika Town had a reputation as "Little Gotham," but breaking into the underground weapons trade

was no joke.

As he walked, deep in thought…

He turned into a small alley, only for a dark figure lurking in the shadows to catch his attention.

With his fully mastered combat skills, his instincts screamed danger.

"Stop right there!"

"Hand over your money. Now."

A man in a black mask stepped out of the darkness, gripping a knife in his right hand. The cold

metal gleamed under the moonlight.

A mugging?

Made sense.

Honestly, if you didn't run into crime at least once in Beika Town, you'd probably be embarrassed to

call yourself a local.

"Hurry up!"

"If you wanna live, give me the cash."

Before, Akira might have chosen to just hand over the money and be done with it.

But now…

In a flash, he lunged forward, locked his arms around the robber's legs, and slammed him into the

ground with a powerful takedown. Before the man could react, Akira followed up with a

straight punch and a side kick.

Thud!

The mugger crashed onto the pavement, groaning in pain. His knife clattered away, lost in the

darkness.

Akira pulled off the man's mask…

He was a local, around thirty years old, with a 10-centimeter scar running down his right cheek.

"Trying to rob people with no real skills?"

"Next time, bring a gun. If you don't have one… you can buy one from me."

"Now scram!"

He threw in two more kicks to the guy's stomach for good measure.

The mugger, clutching his ribs, didn't even have time to complain. He scrambled to his feet and

bolted out of the alley.

Too brutal!

He had mugged plenty of people in this alley before, but this was the first time he'd messed with

the wrong guy.

"Selling guns…?"

Akira scratched his head.

Did he just accidentally pitch his first sale?

Honestly, with Beika Town's current crime rate, the demand for firearms was definitely there.

Just as he was about to leave the alley, he suddenly noticed a woman watching him from the

shadows at the far end.

He couldn't see her face clearly in the dim light, but that distinctive tuft of hair sticking up from her

head was enough to tell him exactly who she was.
