Crazy Britain:They’re All Raising Me

Chapter 299: You Are All My Wings!

"I don't want to swing my sword at you."

Even after hearing the words from the fairy knight Galwen, Guinevere was momentarily stunned, but then he sighed in relief.

It was true that he liked to fight, but he wasn't interested in walking to his own death.

If he were at full strength, he would have probably attacked first before even trying to talk to Galwen. If he still had about a third of his stamina, although he knew his chances of winning were slim, he would still want to give it a try.

But right now, his stamina was practically gone, and just standing was a challenge. If a fight broke out, he'd be dead before he could even last one move. So, he chose to negotiate instead.

After all, his bottom line was always flexible.

And since Galwen had already said she felt close to him, he figured he had time to keep digging... digging for what again?

Guinevere suddenly froze.

Had he forgotten something important?

Forget it, if it was something that could be so easily forgotten, it probably wasn't important.

He pushed the thought aside quickly and focused on Galwen.

Forget the trivial thing he had forgotten. What mattered now was that this beautiful lady had just said she felt close to him. He could use that to continue the conversation.

"So, if you feel close to me, could it be that we're actually not enemies?" Guinevere quickly suggested.

"Huh?" Galwen was taken aback, "What do you mean?"

"I mean, I really can't find any memory of us being enemies, so I think we might not be enemies at all. We should be friends, or partners, or something like that," Guinevere said, earnestly analyzing.

"After all, I don't have any bad feelings toward you... If we were enemies, don't you think we would feel some sort of bond?"

"So you're saying we're actually partners?" Galwen was confused. "But someone just told me... uh, I can't quite remember what they said, but it was something about me being a guard and you being an intruder. My duty is to defeat you."

"That's pure nonsense!" Guinevere shouted angrily, "You feel close to me, I don't feel any ill will toward you, so we must be partners, right? I don't care who told you that garbage, but you know, feelings like this can't be faked. Don't you feel the same about me?"

Galwen paused, then nodded thoughtfully.

"...You're right."

"See? The answer is clear!" Guinevere clapped his hands. "That person must be a troublemaker, trying to drive a wedge between us! Let's go deal with him!"

"That makes sense," Galwen nodded seriously. "Let's go teach that troublemaker a lesson..."

But just as she was about to speak, her expression suddenly froze.

"Uh, I seem to have forgotten what he looked like."

"Does that matter?" Guinevere waved his hand dismissively. "Let's just circle around here, and we'll beat everyone we come across. We'll find the right guy eventually!"

"Yeah! That makes sense!"

[After a brief negotiation, you and the fairy knight Galwen quickly came to a consensus and set off to find the person who had caused trouble between you two.]

[Not long after, you quickly encountered Artoria and Bavanxi.]

"Alright, we've found the enemy!" As soon as Galwen saw them, she raised her greatsword. "Let's teach them a lesson!"

"Enemy attack?!"

On the other side, when Artoria and Bavanxi saw Galwen, towering above them and requiring them to look up to see her face, their expressions tightened and they immediately became alert.

"Wait, hold on a second."

But before Galwen could act, Guinevere stepped in first.

"Those two girls, although I don't remember when we met, they seem very familiar to me... I feel like they might actually be our partners."

"Really?"

Galwen raised an eyebrow and looked at Artoria and Bavanxi, then turned back to Guinevere.

"But when I look at them, I feel a bit annoyed. The redhead especially... I feel like she's trouble. And the blonde... she gives me an odd feeling too."

"That's totally normal," Guinevere said. "But for me, my first impression of them was great, even better than when I saw you... uh, almost the same as when I saw you. So I think we might actually be teammates. Why don't you ask them how they feel about me?"

[Following Guinevere's suggestion, Galwen didn't act immediately but instead asked Artoria and Bavanxi what they thought of him.]

[She quickly received the same answer she had gotten before.]

"Well, that settles it," Guinevere said. "It's completely normal to have some friction in a team. Since you all have good impressions of me, I must be the team leader, and you're all my teammates. The problems must be because of various reasons, so the relationships aren't smooth."

He paused for a moment and then added:

"Actually, look at us. We're a one man, three women team, right? I have a bold hypothesis... could it be that you're all my harem, my wings, and while you all have good impressions of me, you're competing for my attention, which is why your relationships are tense and you don't get along? What do you think?"

"Eh?" Galwen froze at Guinevere's words.

Although she was the tallest one there, she quickly turned her head away, her cheeks flushed.

"Is that really the case? But I don't think I'd share someone I like..."

Before she could finish, Artoria, who had been listening, nodded seriously.

"Mm... it makes sense, and it's quite convincing."

She pointed at Bavanxi.

"For example, when I first saw her, I wanted to slam her head into the ground, especially because I couldn't stand how close she was to you."

"Get lost! Want to fight?" Bavanxi snapped. "Let's see who ends up in the dirt!"

"Just admit I'm right," Artoria said coolly.

"Well..." Bavanxi fell silent for a moment, then nodded.

"Alright, I admit it. My situation might be similar to hers."

"See? Solved it."

Guinevere clapped his hands and turned to Galwen. "I'm clearly the legendary harem overlord, and you all are my wings!"

"Is that so?"

Though Galwen still felt something was off, the possibility seemed unexpectedly high.

Looking at Artoria and Bavanxi, who were about to fight over him, Galwen thought seriously.

It did seem possible. These two were incredibly beautiful fairies, more so than herself. If they were fighting over a man and didn't get along, then it wasn't impossible for her to like him too.

Galwen soon convinced herself, and the four of them continued on their way.

"Anyway, the reason we lost our memories must be because someone is scheming behind our backs. Let's go find him and teach him a lesson!"

Guinevere declared with great momentum.

...................................

— The pressure was now on the long and slender man.

The situation had spiraled to a point he couldn't comprehend.

He was an expert at concealing himself and had the ability to make anyone nearby forget their identities. Because of this, he had been assigned to guard the most dangerous criminal zone.

Under his influence, all the criminals in the prison tower would forget their identities, even forgetting they were prisoners, and instead believe they were the guards who couldn't leave. That's why, even though the tower housed some of the most powerful fairies, none of them had ever escaped since he became the jailer.

Moreover, if intruders tried to break into the prison, he would incite the prisoners to fight them off.

And no matter how strong the intruders were, with over a dozen powerful prisoners as opponents, they were guaranteed to lose. Soon enough, the most notorious criminals in British history would wipe them out.

But this time, things were different.

These intruders were incredibly strong. Any regular fairy would have been taken out by now, and even a fairy knight like Galwen, after breaking through three or four layers of the tower, would have been exhausted. But these people... they broke through six layers!

The long and slender man was terrified.

Luckily, although these intruders were strong, they were still human. After breaking through six layers, they were exhausted. Facing the fairy knight at the final layer, they should have fallen.

But that's when the problem arose.

He had no idea what that person had said to Galwen, but... she was easily swayed by a few words!

When he saw this, the long and slender man was completely stunned.

But luckily, he wasn't out of options. The seventh layer of the prison tower housed other powerful prisoners—fairy knight Tristan and the Prophecy Child.

Even Galwen, facing these two, wouldn't have an easy time breaking through, right?

So, he just needed to stay hidden and wait for the right opportunity to strike, and this mission would still be a success.

Then, he saw the four of them suddenly form an alliance and work together.

It was like a nightmare—how could this happen? The long and slender man didn't know what to think.

If it weren't for the contract binding him as a jailer, he would have run away long ago.

But just as he was panicking, the window behind him suddenly shattered.

A small, white-haired fairy rushed in through the broken window.

"Prisoners, where are the prisoners?"

Although she had spent a lot of time dealing with the magical beasts scattered across the prison city, she realized that Guinevere and the others were nowhere to be found.

Confused, she suddenly recalled something her future self had once said: "Think again."

And then it clicked.

The magical beasts were just a diversion! If she found Artoria directly, she could block them off!

She had been right. The future version of her had been spot on.

"Head Warden!" When she saw the long and slender man, he immediately stood up straight. "The intruders have joined forces with the prisoners! You came just in time!"

But the fairy didn't respond. She briefly thought, "Who is this again?" and immediately rushed into the prison.
