Crossover Shipgirls: Building a Dimensional Empire from Scratch

Chapter 216: Gundam Shipgirls vs. Transformers

Whenever a new world exploration plan was drafted, the capital would immediately become lively.

Shipgirls, Spirits, and Heroic Spirits were gathered to carefully study the new target universe.

Setsuna had arranged for people to retrieve a massive collection of Transformers movies from other worlds, including spin-offs and comics.

Several group viewings were held, along with extensive note-taking.

The timeline in the Transformers universe was notoriously messy. Thanks to multiple reboots, it took the shipgirls a while to untangle the storylines.

In the main conference room of the administrative center, Richelieu distributed materials to the others.

"In the beginning of all things, during the primeval chaos, a mysterious artifact known as the AllSpark appeared in space, capable of granting machines life and intelligence."

"The ancient being known as The One used the AllSpark to forge two entities: Primus and Unicron. These two spread civilization across countless primitive planets."

"Eventually, a cosmic war broke out between them. Primus, leading the original Primes, defeated Unicron and began developing the planet Cybertron..."

"Nineteen thousand years ago, the Transformers built pyramids on Earth to harvest solar energy. In the end, The Fallen was defeated by the other six original Primes and his plan failed."

"The Transformers had differing views on how the AllSpark should be used, which led to the formation of two factions: the Autobots and the Decepticons. Civil war erupted, and the AllSpark was launched into deep space by the Autobots..."

"In 8000 BC, the AllSpark crashed on Earth. In 6000 BC, Megatron found traces of it, but was disabled by Earth's magnetic field and frozen in the Arctic ice..."

"In 1913, the AllSpark was discovered in the Colorado River region, prompting the formation of Sector Seven to study its secrets."

"Eighteen years later, the Hoover Dam was built to hide the AllSpark, and Megatron was transferred there for research..."

"In 1961, Sentinel Prime's ship crashed on the moon, sparking the U.S.-Soviet space race..."

"In 1994, Unicron dispatched Scourge to find a Transwarp Key capable of spatial travel. With the combined efforts of Optimus Prime and the Maximals, Earth was saved from Unicron's arrival..."

"..."

As Richelieu's presentation continued,

Setsuna and the other shipgirls and Spirits finally gained a general understanding of the Transformers universe.

When he was younger, Setsuna had thought Transformers was just a bunch of Autobots fighting each other.

He never imagined there was such an intricate lore behind it all.

In fact, the Transformers universe even tied into major developments in human society.

Things like the legend of King Arthur, the space race, and even Chernobyl were linked to them.

"Wait, Hitler got taken out by a Transformer that looked like an alarm clock?!"

Gudako stared wide-eyed. Her sense of history had just been turned upside down.

Though the Type-Moon world's history was plenty chaotic itself...

"Let's respect the context of other worlds. Ahem, let's not treat them like ordinary human realms."

Richelieu cleared her throat.

"The Transwarp Key and AllSpark are both amazing, meow," said Akashi, ears twitching.

The Transwarp Key allowed free traversal through time and space. Unicron, trapped in the Dead Universe, was obsessed with obtaining the Key to descend upon Earth's dimension and devour the solar system and other worlds.

If they could secure it and hand it over to Midori Fuse, not only would FTL technology become feasible, even full-on spatial warping could be achieved.

The Space Bridge was another marvel—a portal connecting distant locations instantly, essentially a man-made wormhole that made interstellar travel easy.

As for the AllSpark, it was a divine artifact from the dawn of the universe—the origin and ultimate destination of all Transformers.

It held unimaginable powers, capable of turning machines into sentient life.

Even the technological boom of the Eagle Union couldn't have happened without the AllSpark.

No matter how you looked at it, it was of immense research value.

Remembering how he once swallowed the Wisdom Cube, Setsuna even considered trying to consume the AllSpark—

To become an ultra-cool AllSpark-class warship.

"Commander, if we pick the right point in the timeline, we should be able to obtain both artifacts."

Belfast carefully reviewed the materials and spoke to Setsuna.

"So, we're talking about the timeline of Transformers 7... sounds doable."

Setsuna thought it over.

The Transwarp Key didn't appear frequently in the franchise, but its most relevant link was in Transformers 7.

In 1994, Megatron was likely still frozen in Sector Seven's icebox. The AllSpark was hidden under the Hoover Dam.

The Transwarp Key had been split in two: one half in a museum, the other in a remote South American village.

They might even run into Optimus Primal. Amazing.

Setsuna couldn't help but appreciate just how well Transformers 7 stitched its lore together.

"Master, who's stronger: Transformers or Gundams?"

Jeanne Alter naturally posed the baiting question.

For these cold weapon-era Heroic Spirits, modern tech constructs weren't all that interesting. To Artoria, Jeanne, Nero and others, they were just big robots.

The only difference? Some were piloted, some were autonomous.

"Barbatos would one-shot Megatron!"

Gudako slammed the table.

"My hammer is thirsty! I'm gonna go smash Megatron and Scourge's heads in!"

"Hmm..."

Setsuna pondered a moment.

"Assuming we leave out Primus and Unicron, yeah, we're basically invincible."

From what he'd seen in the movies, the Transformers' firepower didn't hold a candle to starships.

Sure, they both used laser weapons—but his were bigger caliber and had better range!

As for Unicron's minions like Scourge and the Terrorcons...

In terms of raw firepower, Setsuna doubted they could even beat a mass-produced Siren unit.

"So Commander, do you think we can conquer them?"

A silver-haired, golden-eyed shipgirl with red-highlighted bangs and horns asked casually.

Ägir.

Wearing a sheer black bodysuit that revealed everything except the private areas, she crossed her legs—her body fully outlined beneath the translucent fabric, sharp armored heels and the revealing fit giving her a bold, seductive flair.

Setsuna found himself a bit captivated by the sight.

"Taking over Earth in that universe wouldn't be hard. Cybertron, though... that's a bit far. Once we get the Transwarp Key and AllSpark and unlock FTL tech, we can make a move."

He considered it.

Cybertron was in the Alpha Centauri system, same as the Trisolarans' homeworld.

Roughly four light years away from the Solar System. Without faster-than-light tech, it was a hassle.

"As for a bigger target..."

"Let's take it step by step. Maybe someday we can dismantle Unicron's body and study it. That thing looks pretty badass."

Unicron, according to lore, was the embodiment of destruction, chaos, and darkness—a metaphysical concept given form.

What they saw in the movies was merely a split fragment of his essence.

But Unicron was only dangerous within the Transformers universe. Unless a world war was triggered, he had no jurisdiction outside.

Setsuna figured it wouldn't hurt to fight him someday.

"Tch. That's the Commander I know. Visionary and ruthless."

Gudako clicked her tongue. The two high-fived.

"Let's go! I can't wait to have Barbatos go toe-to-toe with a Transformer. Commander, want to pilot Turn A with me?"

"Just thinking about it gets my blood pumping!"

"No."

Setsuna refused instantly.

"Sorry, I'm a believer in superior firepower doctrine. I'll support you from the Eternal Snowfall."
