After all, even though he had already managed to move far enough away from the dangerous core of the Verdant Abyss where Celestial Immortal Realm and more powerful demon beasts resided, there was still a very real possibility of him running into a wandering demon beast or a powerful group of cultivators.

Only if he managed to leave the Verdant Abyss and regained his ability to use the Dao of Space like normal would he feel confident enough to relax again, as only with the help of the Dao of Space did he feel any real confidence in dealing with someone in the Land Creation Realm, as without the Dao of Space, he didn't have much of a chance facing off against someone in the Land Creation Realm and would at most be able to endure for a short time before being overwhelmed.

Utilizing the inherent ability of spatial collapse or partial spatial collapse was an option, but the reason he decided against doing that was because he feared any kind of major spatial disturbance could cause some kind of activation or change to the formation that covered the Verdant Abyss. Potentially triggering a hostile response that wouldn't just be throwing him deeper into the Verdant Abyss.

The main reason for this being that causing a spatial collapse would directly damage the formation hidden within the spatial dimension of the Verdant Abyss in a way that prevented the formation from hiding deeper, as it would be a complete breakdown of the very fabric of space itself.

Although this method could indeed also be used to break the formation itself, it was unrealistic to do so with his current strength, as he would essentially need to cause a spatial collapse throughout the entire Verdant Abyss to destroy the formation in this kind of way, something he doubted he could accomplish even if he managed to reach the Origin Realm in the Dao of Space and break through to the Venerable Realm above the Profound Immortal Realm…

Shaking his head imagining just how powerful he would have to be to cause a spatial collapse across an area the size of the Verdant Abyss, Xuan Hao picked up the master disciple pair before explaining his intention to take the two of them out of the Verdant Abyss, causing both of them to be rather surprised in the process, as neither of them had realized that they had ended up inside the Verdant Abyss.

Then again, it wasn't that surprising that they had no idea that they had ended up inside the Verdant Abyss, as the only real clue they had so far was the slight incline they had been climbing up through their journey through an ancient forest, a small incline that they might not even have noticed before he had grabbed the two of them and escaped along with them.

For all they knew, they might just have ended up inside some kind of ancient ruin or secret realm that had Celestial Immortal Realm demon beasts roaming around inside of it.

Although rare, it wasn't odd considering they had no control over the spatial artifact they had used for their escape and their comprehension of the Dao of Space being too bad for them to even sense the direction they had been moving in.

Understandable as this might be for someone like Meng Jie who had only reached the Nascent Soul Realm, it was a bit surprising for someone like Huo Fen, who had reached the Middle Stage of the Dao Seed Realm, to have absolutely no comprehension of the Dao of Space beyond what was naturally archived through advancing his cultivation realm.
