Cultivating in Honkai!

Chapter 44: Chapter 44: Confrontation

I am not particular when it comes to hiding immortal cultivation. Part of it was Kiana's kindness. Another part is its futileness. There's no point in keeping it to myself. I already resolved myself to change the ending of this world, for the better or worse.

Finally, it is the discovery I made two months prior.

It started with converting Kiana's 'gun-kata' into spiritual qi compatible.

It worked.

The technique itself no longer involved honkai energy, but pure spiritual qi. I tried to tweak honkai energy and spiritual qi together, but that did not work. It looks like I have to experiment the two on my own.

Still, cultivation techniques in itself are very broken. It will only serve good to distribute these techniques to prepare for the upcoming fight against the honkai. If Kiana can successfully 'embrace' the Cocoon with less sacrifices, it is good enough.

Cocolia is not a good entry point.

But the woman inside that invisible mecha…

"Tesla."

I breathed out.

My Sword Heart sensed a peculiar gaze above the ground. When I used my spiritual consciousness to scan, I saw it was a concealed mech.

This comes for later.

The part of my 'mind' responsible for planning focused on my current predicament. The flying sword is very efficient when it comes to cleaning up zombies. It only needs to 'home' to their heads. My jian is also made up of materials enough to deal with honkai beasts.

Everywhere I walked, there were fallen zombies on the ground. The once prosperous street is struck with disaster.

Fortunately, there are many living humans left. We are away from the actual place of the eruption. The ones who did all this mess are zombies. Once bitten, normal humans turn depending on their honkai resistance.

This is not the only problem, though. The ensuing chaos of the crowd, people stealing from other shops…

Human factors made it difficult to settle a problem caused by fifty zombies at best.

My right hand touched the tied laces of my hoodie. It is like the day I rescued Seele.

I looked at one of the town officers. My spiritual consciousness crept up to the gun on his waist. It obediently floated to my grasp.

Bang-!

Bang-!

The entire street turned silent. The hectic scenes on the other street remained unaffected.

This is enough.

I tossed the gun back to the officer. He looked at me and the gun in confusion.

"What the fuck."

I understood his words. This is my effort in learning Russian. I can barely make out common words and pronunciation.

"Spasibo. Do your job well."

I unleashed my hidden sharpness. My voice caused the officer to nod heavily. His eyes blinked several times in an instant.

Everyone stopped what they were doing. Be it the good or the bad, everyone is intimidated by my sharpness.

This is the aura emitted by the Sword Heart. Weak-willed and weaker cultivators will bow down to it. The effect it has on normal humans must be terrifying.

I did this action seven times until I quelled the chaos on the streets. It is also at this time I came across Kiana.

My spiritual consciousness extended towards her.

"Don't come close. Let's talk later."

"...You can do that?!"

Her muffled whisper could not hold back her excitement. It seems like this kind of aura farming impacted her.

"Yeah. You can do it too."

Like a stranger, I maintained a distance of a few meters from her. It did not take long before I left the now peaceful town.

"Hm. It's bloody."

My flying sword also returned by my side. I shook it off remotely, causing the brain matter and blood to slide down the snow. A familiar fishy and iron-like smell greeted my nose.

Killing zombies remotely…

This is a huge step forward.

My mind felt mentally fatigued, however. It started to place more burden to my spiritual consciousness as it moved farther from me. It no longer consumed nigh-zero efforts to move.

There's also the keen observation needed to 'lock' the targets. Sword control creates a manageable burden, but not observation. Taking up huge amounts of information at once is demanding.

My spiritual consciousness retreated inside me. The heavy burden in my mind disappeared.

I looked in a certain direction.

Should I..?

This is the best chance to come in contact with Anti-Entropy's trustable teammates.

I no longer hesitated.

My spiritual consciousness started to spread outside in a straight line. It headed towards the concealed flying mecha at least thirty meters away.

Once I made sure I am connected to her ears, I asked:

"Who are you?"

*****

Tesla swore this was the second biggest fright of her life. Only the second eruption can top it all.

A voice rang in all directions. She double-checked whether she intercepted any frequencies or whatnot, but to no avail.

"Stop looking around. It is me."

Hum-!

A metallic tap appeared on the Titan's shoulders. When she looked at it, she saw a small flying sword striking the metal plates. It soon returned in the hands of the boy—the one she noticed earlier.

"Mophead. You said the Kaslana girl has a companion?"

"Hum… Yeah. Ryoma's reports say… He's a martial artist, suspected from Shenzhou, who can strengthen his body to match a B Rank Valkyrie with a Battlesuit…"

"..."

The reports are wrong.

Dead wrong!

"Can he control swords remotely?"

"Hum?"

"He's doing it right now."

"There's… none."

Seeing the boy cross his arms as he stared in her direction, Tesla decided to meet him once and for all.

The Titan mech landed. It is rather noisy. Once it settled the landing phase, a transparent wave appeared throughout its body, exiting it from its concealment state.

"Woah."

Shi Tian was shocked. Seeing a real mecha in person is mindblowing. They don't have this in the year 2026. Sitting at eight meters high, the 'slender' red painted Titan mecha revealed itself to his eyes.

'It's covered in haze before. I can only determine its shape…'

Swoosh-!

The air decompressed as soon as the cabin on its torso opened. The Titan mecha kneeled to the ground, allowing a woman with bright red twintails to step out.

"...Anti-Entropy?"

Seeing he knows some stuff, Tesla heaved a sigh of relief.

"Good. That saves up a lot of time." She stated as she patted her chest. "I am from Anti-Entropy. Position… the Sovereign's trust-worthy partner."

"...So why spy around me?"

Shi Tian eyed the red-haired lady. The jian around him floated with its sword tip pointed to the skies.

"The lack of honkai energy around. Is it your doing?"

She went straight to the point.
